“Miliband clashes with Starmer over Net Zero project”
So, clearly Miliband understands that you cannot have industrial progress, or even industry without access to affordable electricity, which makes this data centre a non-starter… and raises the question: what on earth is he doing?
It’s a bit uncomfortable, being on the same side as milliband.
I know lots of good people in that predicament… so far, I’ve resisted teasing them as much as they did me about Boris when his clown show was going off the road!
sadly he is clashing because he wants the land for a hydrocarbon generation hub or some such nonsense
“If we can’t trust the BBC to stop calling obviously male criminals ‘women’, we will go elsewhere”
BBC’s ‘failure’ (because a deliberate policy decision is not a failure), to call a man a man, obvious or not, is why most of us have already gone elsewhere…
“Agriculture is a big player in the global carbon cycle”
Gerraway.! You’ll be telling us next that the IPCC models of Climate Catastrophe ignore the Sun.
I notice the BBC are carefully avoiding telling us that it was a woman who carried out the shooting in America.
You’d have appreciated the interview on Talk earlier, perhaps, when MG bluntly advised his interviewee that a person with a cock is a man, and not a woman… thank goodness I wasn’t drinking my tea at the time!
To its credit [finally…] the Telegraph made a point of calling the murderer ‘he’ throughout its report
Do they?
Some probably do, but enough?
Jeremy Warner in the Telegraph says “Central banking elites are out of touch with the political realities of our age”. This is not untrue but it is a silly remark. It has not been “central; bankers” who have driven unlimited immigration is it economists of the Keynsian disposition (who provide the excuses) and politicians who hate the existing people and wilfully decided to get others they thought they would like better.
Meanwhile one of the better observers in the DT Allister Heath says the IMF woyuld come in as advisers not lenders; their role would be to allow technocrats (in the Treasury and BoE) to impose austerity. https://staging.dailysceptic.org/2025/08/28/news-round-up-1628/#comment-1049215
It is not sarcasm to enquire if there is anyone in those institution swho has a clue about managing an economy or the slightest ability to deliver a balanced budget.
We who have always maintained that managing the UK economy is not much different from managing a household are correct as usual. No surprises there then.
“Minneapolis shooter is trans, anti-Trump… Dems call for no politics …..” And what they’re not calling for is any gun control policy change, I suppose. All legally acquired weapons, after all.
Wikipedia accuses the daily sceptic of spreading mis information about covid 19 vaccines, and engages in climate denial. Facts don’t lie Wikepedia wake up and smell the coffee in the real world.
What drugs are your editors on !
$$$$$$ perhaps? In the meantime, RFK Jr has been sacking quite a few recently, so they might be looking for work.
“Rwanda could revive migrant deal if Farage is PM (and UK pays £50 million)”
NO, NO, NO !!!
WHY KEEP PAYING THE BOTTOMLESS PIT OF RWANDA,
when we could be paying the loyal FALKLAND ISLANDERS, instead?
Migrant crisis: UK to pay staggering £370 MILLION to Rwanda in asylum deal… with extra £20,000 per migrant
“The UK has already paid £220million into the Rwanda economic development fund since April 2022, with further annual payments of £50million scheduled for the next three years.
Britain could also face a one-off sum of £120million if more than 300 people are eventually sent to Rwanda.
There is a further potential payment of £20,000 per individual relocated.
The UK Government would also need to foot the bill for accommodation, food and education.”
