Badges of Dishonour: The Scouts Go Woke For Islam and Queerness in Britain and America
With war in Iran, Uncle Sam needs as many troops as he can get his hands on at the moment. One traditional human pipeline of future new recruits has long been the Boy Scouts of America, with around 10-16% of military cadets having been introduced to the fine world of outdoor pursuits (as shooting foreigners in the head does tend to be) by scoutmasters as children. But over recent years, recruiting sergeants have begun noticing a distinct decline in the quality of trainees sourced from the Scouts, such fresh cannon-fodder seeming increasingly gay, soft and useless.
The Pentagon has identified the problem as one of wokeness in the Scouting movement itself, with Obama-era DEI schemes having done their intended work of transforming the flower of American youth into a bouquet of total pansies. As a result, Donald Trump’s current War Secretary, Pete Hegseth, has now threatened to cut all US military ties with the organisation. Explaining how “the Boy Scouts lost their way”, Hegseth complained that, under Democrat rule:

My son attends Scouts, but he moment any sniff of this rears its head he’s done.
The irony of the Muslim Scout Fellowship having a female on their poster when in reality they try to keep the two sexes segregated.
I still struggle to understand why the BOY Scouts allow GIRLS to be members, especially while the GIRL Guides do not allow BOYS, other until the recent ruling those pretending they are girls. I wonder if the Boys’ Brigade still exists….
Years ago, the scouts were having a problem of teenage boys leaving because they weren’t “cool”. The answer was easy – let teenage girls be members. Problem solved. What’s happened since has been the law of unintended consequnces.
Not prepared to read the diatribe unless the author explains to me the
“Islam and Queerness” oxymoron (a figure of speech that pairs two contradictory or opposing words together to create a dramatic, ironic, or humorous effect). Is it for dramatic, ironic, humorous effect? Other? I would have understood it if paederasty was encouraged, but Queerness?
