The Girl Guides are mired in a row over banning boys who think they are girls, with a breakaway group pushing to overturn the policy brought in last year. The Telegraphhas the story.
Calling itself Guiders Against Trans Exclusion (Gate), the group encourages Guide leaders to oppose the policy through activism, including writing to politicians and attending protests.
It encourages members to show opposition to the ban by wearing the Guide’s promise badge upside down, changing profile pictures on social media to show support for trans allies and wearing a trans pride necker scarf.
Messages seen by the Telegraph show that multiple guide leaders have purchased sets of badges for their units – including one for a Rainbows group (aged 5 to 7) – and that badges had also been placed on sale at a recent official Girlguiding event.
But others are in favour of the ban, and said that relationships within the organisation were becoming hostile.
One Brownie leader, who asked to remain anonymous, said: “It’s an increasingly hostile environment. Communications from Girlguiding HQ seem to assume everyone is devastated by the rule change. I haven’t had a single parent ask me about it.
“The online briefings after the policy change focused on how sorry they were and how they could continue to support trans girls. The idea that some parents or volunteers might welcome the change seems beyond them.” …
A social media video published by Thatcham Rangers, a Girlguiding group in Thatcham, in Berkshire, shows girls holding slogans such as “trans girls are girls” and “our story includes trans girls”, while the Girlguiding promise is read over the footage.
In separate correspondence seen by the Telegraph, the group leader said she had been working with a local trans activist linked to a Pride organisation.
In a publicly available Gate YouTube briefing, guide leaders are encouraged to purchase badge sets and directed to a volunteer handbook designed to support discussions of trans rights in their units.
The handbook includes advice on how to bring other volunteers on board, guidance on explaining transgender issues to children as young as four and how to respond to complaints from parents. It also encourages leaders to wear pins featuring Pride or ally flags on their uniform to show support.

Yes its the spiteful narcissism, its all about their desires, their wants and sod the little girls. Perhaps they should consider following an ideology which openly denigrates and hates women, after all thats protected in this Country,
Or maybe start a new inclusive organisation, maybe called Notgirls Guiding or something, just for the girls who are not girls confused boys, and see how well that goes!
Is that what it is. I prefer to call them mentally ill perpetual victims who have found validation in being pathetic, and they are crying out for help.

I’m surprised that, much like what happened to the Boys Scouts, the Girl Guides haven’t had to go ‘co-ed’ due to dwindling numbers from only girls.
That won’t work for them, they have to be seen to be successful in ramming a square peg into a round hole. Yes, the scouts take girls but that gives no satisfaction from the act of overturning the apple cart.
You’re right – when teenage boys stopped going to scouts, the obvious solution was to let teenage girls become scouts – it worked like a charm.

Here we go again, sinister forces that want to sexualise children. Brownies, Guides, Cubs and Scouts are childrens clubs. Who are these Adults who are so focused on destroying Childrens clubs in order to introduce Adult sexual themes into the organisation.
It seems to me we have far too many Adults who have Nonce tendencies acting with impunity in Childrens activities. Its very, very worrying
Simple(ish) solution – people who want to take part in a Girl Guides type organisation that also includes boys can form said organization, get it funded, find venues. It’s a free country – knock yourselves out.
This won’t work because trans rights demand that sex seggregated organizations must not exist because their existence implies that a property called sex exists and is relevant for human society and this, in turn, implies that theory of gender as social construct is wrong and that trans people don’t exist outside of the belief system which claims they do.
Allowing an organization called girl guides to exist and to be restrictet to female members amounts to trans-XY self-genocide.
It’s impossible to coexist with them because their gender theory rules this out. I think I’m a male specimen of a species of sexually reproducing mammals with two sexes. A transwoman thinks or claims to think that it’s a woman. One of the two people in this example is living in the real world and the other in a universe of delusions. Either I exist and the transwoman doesn’t or I don’t exist and it does. I’d be willing to tolerate them as people with a hobby I consider weird but which ultimately isn’t my business. But they cannot be willing to tolerate me: I must be one of them who has chosen to play a certain, principally arbitrary role.

I’ve just watched a video about female competition for partners and it also deals with trans and other groups. It’s well worth watching and casts light on the way fem and trans groups seek to increase or decrease the availability of sexual partners. In this case they are obviously using children to increase the future availability of partners.
The only really interesting question here is: Who is paying for this? Because someone certainly is as all this ready-made trans PR stuff costs money. That’s something journalists should be investigating instead of doing press release rewrites of the above nature.
There are at least three men in that protest picture, although no doubt they’d deny that observation. What the hell are they going involving themselves in the girl guides?

Given in inclusion Nazis have forced the Boy Scouts to allow gilrs, why have the Girl Guides been forced to take boys?
I don’t think anyone ”forced” them at all, as it would appear girls have been welcomed in to the Scouts for many years. Well before woke was a thing;
”Girls and women have been in Scouts since the beginning. We’ve always had female volunteers. In 1909, there were around 6,000 girls in Scouts across the UK.
When Girl Guides was set up in 1910 by Robert and Agnes Baden-Powell, Scouts became just for boys. However, this changed in 1976, when girls joined Scouts as Venture Scouts.”
Actually, Baden Powell ( the founder of the Scouts ) was encouraging girls to join as far back as 1908. You can read his letter here. Perhaps the sexes were segregated in those days, though, and today they might have mixed patrols instead;
”So, when did girls start scouting, have a look at the letter below, sent on the 21st March 1908 by Baden Powell, I have typed the text alongside in case you have difficulty with his handwriting..”
No matter how you try to present it, a male is still a male, and vice versa, and it is the adults pushing this not the children. The parents should be arrested for child abuse, for thats what it is, children dont know or care about gender, …….sick people
