US Approval of Britain Plunges to Record Low

US approval of Britain has plummeted to a record low as Donald Trump supporters shun Sir Keir Starmer over free speech suppression and other political differences, new data show. The Telegraph has the story.

The share of Americans who have a positive view of the UK has plummeted to 76% this year from 84%, according to polling by Gallup.

This is the lowest level since at least 1987 and the first time the share has ever fallen below 80%. Over the last four decades, the number has averaged 88%.

The slump was almost entirely driven by Republicans. The share of Trump voters with a favourable view of Britain plunged by 18 percentage points to an unprecedented 64%.

Among Democratic voters, by contrast, the proportion with a favourable view of the UK fell only modestly from 93% to 89%.

Trump has criticised Sir Keir with a barrage of public criticism after he initially denied America permission to use British military bases to strike Iran.

Trump told the Telegraph at the start of the month that he was “deeply disappointed” in Sir Keir and that the Prime Minister’s refusal to let US forces use Britain’s Chagos Islands military base was something that had “probably never happened between our countries before”.

On March 1st, Sir Keir said he would allow US access for “specific and limited defensive purposes”.

But in the following days, Trump told reporters that Sir Keir was “not Winston Churchill” and has reportedly started to call the Labour leader a “loser”.

American conservatives have also become embroiled in rows over free speech in Britain, reacting in horror to events such as the arrest of comedian Graham Linehan for social media posts he made while in Arizona.

I suspect that the US approval rating of Britain is still substantially higher than the British approval rating of Britain.

So what. Big deal.
I was, like many more, supportive of DT because of MAHA/Kennedy and – “No more foreign wars”. Lol.
Neocons and Israel in full control as ever.
Hopefully this is the death of USA worldwide hegemony and of Zionist Middle East hegemony/.
Think China – that is their ultimate goal.

PDJT said, “No more forever wars,” right? In 47years, I’ve seen no worldwide hegemonic ambitions of the USA, or Israel. Otoh, China, Iran – and the proxies they fund (e.g. In Cuba, Maduro in Venezuela, Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis) – are real threats needing curtailment.

What planet are you on?
Americans invade a country every few years and have the forever Uke proxy war vs Russia in full throttle.
Drumpf said he would end that in 1 day. Still waiting.
The US is run by Jews and Israel.
When the Iran fiasco ends they will move on to another war.
It is a flailing military CIA despotism.

In 2019 Drumpf said no more ME wars. He is another Zionist puppet. Every year the Americans bomb invade and threaten to ‘save democracy’ defined as the Pentagon CIA budget.

US is playing the long game, and actually fighting for survival against China, who are ALWAYS playing the longest game… it’s about oil, dominant currencies, space etc

Is Starmer’s plan so to alienate us from our strongest ally (the US) that we have to go crawling back to the EU for mutual defence?

I’m amazed it’s as high as 76%.

I would imagine the percentage of British people who have a positive impression of the UK under this appalling Labour Government is way below 76%.

Just hope they don’t think the rest of the population approve of this government.
