Failed Asylum Seeker Families Offered Up to £40,000 to Leave Britain in New Labour Scheme
Families of failed asylum seekers have been offered up to £40,000 to leave Britain voluntarily in a new pilot scheme from the Labour Government, with the Home Secretary saying it could “save money”. The Mail has more.
The Home Office today informed 150 families they are eligible for lump sums of £10,000 a head for up to four people if they agree to go.
The programme could be expanded to thousands more families if it proves successful.
It is significantly more generous than existing cash incentives to migrants who agree to leave voluntarily, which are currently capped at £3,000 a head.
Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has sanctioned the huge pay-outs in a bid to save even larger sums currently being spent on keeping the families in migrant hotels and other types of accommodation at the taxpayers’ expense.
Financial incentives are necessary because Labour scrapped the previous government’s Rwanda scheme, which would have seen adult asylum seekers compulsorily sent to east Africa to lodge claims there rather than here.
The pay-outs are also an attempt to overcome barriers faced by the Home Office when it attempts to remove failed asylum seekers, including last-minute human rights claims and problems obtaining travel documents from their home nations.
The scheme will only apply to people whose home countries are deemed safe – leading critics to question why they needed to be handed huge sums of taxpayers’ money to leave Britain.
Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp branded the scheme “an insult to the British taxpayer”.
The Home Office is planning to use physical force to remove failed asylum seeker families – including against children – if they reject the offer, it emerged.
It has launched a consultation with experts in the police, teaching and care work to determine what levels of force could be used against children in what officials said would be a “lawful, dignified and proper” way.
Mahmood, in a speech at the IPPR think-tank in central London today, said the “increased incentive payments” could bring a “significant saving” for the public purse.

Yes, especially since they’ll just do a circular route, like going round a Monopoly board, turning up in the UK again & again under different names with fake kids with fake documents, to get £40,000. Rinse & Repeat. Some criminal asylum seekers in the US have been deported dozens of times, only to sneak back in and commit more crimes, to be deported again. And again.

The amount should not exceed the cost of getting here; if that’s estimated at $5k, I’d give them $4k. In a bank account from their country, accessible from the moment they get there.
And I would also take their fingerprints, if they’re identified again send them straight back since you already know where that is.
When we’re finally rid of this abject shower, can we enact legislation to take every financial and physical asset of those directly or indirectly responsible for this theft, by way of restitution for the taxpayer.
Use the conflict in the ME and in Pakistan to order a State of Emergency and start housing these folk in secure refugee tented encampments off the U.K. mainland. Provide 3 meals a day and emergency medical care but nothing else eg phones and pocket money.
This will save us all money in the long term and keep us safer from crime and terrorist attacks.

The government’s priority is to provide first class healthcare for immigrants, so they will be fit and strong, while the rest of us must fund it all while our health deteriorates. Starmer’s way of putting the British people first.

But aren’t the vast majority who arrive unvetted anyway because they don’t possess any documentation, which is a massive red flag in itself, so no background checks are able to be performed. The authorities can’t even accurately tell how old they are. 😮 So the likelihood of determining if they’ve a criminal history is looking very slim. What a stupid and meaningless statement this is. I think all the migrant men running around stabbing and sexually assaulting people will have a history of violence. They don’t just turn that way when they get over here.

Surely by breaking in to the UK they are, by default, breaking the law… therefore from day 1, they are criminals?
But they’re not, are they? The majority are brought in by the RNLI. Then if they’re permitted entry despite having no paperwork, that can hardly be construed as “breaking in”. It’s like inviting a burglar into your home then complaining when they steal your stuff.

The median value of a family’s savings in the UK is about £10,400.
I imagine that the average Labour MP will have a lot more than that so, to them, handing out £40k to a bunch of foreign mendicants is neither here nor there. But it’s not a VERY good look the voters, is it? They are more likely to think how much £40k would seem to them.

So, we’re going to hand out £40,000 of taxpayers’ money to people who we have the legal right to forcibly remove *without* giving them any money.
If anything showed how weak we are as a nation under rhe Uniparty, this is it. The UK is an embarssing joke. It would be worth taking the money then bringing the undocumented family back in again a few weeks later. Or coming in with someone else’s kids. It’s a bloody merry go round.

The average salary of a middle class professional living in Mogdishu is £ 80/month. (US$110) so £40,000 is forty year’s salary. OK theres some cost in coming here, rubber dinghy or not. But get chucked out and look at the incentive. Home office will probably pay the airfare and in a few years you can have another try. Actually the bad news is that, if your asylum application is granted you only get an accomodation package and home for your family but with British costs of stuff to have, plus crap weather, its not so good.
How is this going to make the UK less of a magnet ?

Just when you think this Labour government cannot possibly do anything more stupid than they have already done over the past 18 months, they prove one wrong. The terrifying thing about this unbelievably stupid proposal (giving illegal immigrants £40,000 each to go away) is the frightening realisation that they will assuredly propose something EVEN MORE STUPID next week. Why not just deport them and give them 40p and a meal on the plane with a bottle of water ?? Oh, yes, I forgot : must be something to do with the Hugh Man Writes legislation. Bollox.

What about us poor souls who are unfortunately staying and grieving the loss of our identity and culture, destroyed by enforced diversity policies? What free taxpayers money should we be offered?
A minimum of £75k would be a starting point!
