“England is losing its soul” – Howard Jacobson argues that modern Britain is abandoning the tradition of religious tolerance that once defined it.
To paraphrase Popper: if you tolerate intolerance, intolerance always wins… and, here we are.
“England has
losinglost its soul”Popper was clearly full of shit. Britain had no “tradition” of religious tolerance, it had a tradition of religious intolerance and persecution. Persecution of Pagan Danes by Christian Saxons, persecution of Protestants during reign of Henry VIII and then Mary, then persecution of Catholics during the reign of Elizabeth I. Then Cromwell era religious intolerance of everybody except Puritans. The Puritans left for the New World because they could not tolerate the way other Christian sects were practising Christianity, and their aim was to create a Puritan society in America which would exclude other Christian ways. The there’s Ireland with Catholics and prods slugging it out right up to the end of the 20th Century. Catholics in GB were forbidden to hold public office or own property until the 19th Century. Tolerance means to endure, put up with things such as hardship, a headache. There is nothing virtuous about tolerance. In society it is a product of reciprocity. Fred tolerates some of the behaviour of others, on the understanding they will behave some of his behaviour, As for religious tolerance. The British exhausted themselves after fighting over the nuances of Christianity for more than two centuries, and finally arrived at… Read more »
“Tolerance is NOT a Christian virtue.
Evil preaches Tolerance until it becomes dominant, then seeks to Silence the Good.”
—The Archbishop of Philadelphia, Charles Chaput
Or as the Archbishop of Philadelphia, Charles Chaput, once said,
“Tolerance is NOT a Christian virtue.
Evil preaches Tolerance until it becomes dominant, then seeks to silence the Good.”
“Bishop of Lincoln arrested on suspicion of sexual assault
Another one.? God seems to have some peculiar friends.
But no mention of the ‘baby eating Bishop of Bath and Wells’….hehehehe
“David Lammy to face down rebels and force through judge-only trials”
‘Rebels’.? People who oppose the removal of a fundamental right given to us 1000 years ago. We’re the rebels..?
“On the ‘collapse’ of the Boreal forest”
It didn’t say if this is before or after the ‘collapse of the Gulf Stream’… Really, what is it with these people. Go live your lives. Nothing much is happening, you can’t save the world because it doesn’t need saving. If it needed saving, you couldn’t do anything to change anything. Leave us all be.
Why would Russia want to attack Britain? Its own government and the large swathes of newcomers and their supporters are doing a great job of destroying it already.
Why would they want to lose all the British trade via India for oil, gas, petrochemicals, grain etc ?
“Tories pledge to cut ‘unfair’ interest on student loans”
Oh so many pledges!
“We will cut immigration to the tens of thousands ”
Lest we forget!
By “unfair” do they mean market rates? If so who will pay for below market rates charged on student loans? The rest of us!
But here’s a thought. If we went back to the time when university was for la crème de la crème, say about 5% of school leavers, we would as a society be able to afford to pay tuition fees for students – and get a better return – instead of them having to take out loans.
Which is of course the way it used to be before the Blair creature decreed that anyone with a pulse who could almost spell their name must go to uni and study the history of lesbian dance.
Also many individuals could be steered towards vocational subjects like plumbers, electricians, engineers, making far better use of their abilities – and better outcome for the economy and society.
Then we would not have to import “skills” from the Third World cesspits.
“Cambridge loves kings – if they are Nigerian” – Cambridge University is sending back 116 Benin bronzes to the descendant of a slave-trading monarch”
👋
And guess who is one of that Slave-Trading Nigerian monarch’s wives?
ADEGOKE is her Yoruba family clan name.
“Princess Ashley Adegoke married the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, on October 14, 2022.” She was educated in Britain, like her fellow clan member Olukemi Olufunto ADEGOKE. Who persuaded Cambridge to hand the Benin bronzes back to the husband of Princess Ashley ADEGOKE, I wonder?
“Andrew scandal must not overshadow the brilliant work of the monarchy”
Oh f♡¿k right off!
But, but… the brilliant work of the monarchy didn’t include moderating ex-Prince Andrew’s behaviour (sufficiently) – and that’s before the current allegations.
What exactly Prince Andrew done?
Helping to train babies to “suck harder” on pacifiers, as requested by Epstein of various academic researchers. I couldn’t understand why Epstein was so interested in this, until Alex Jones of Infowars explained the horrific paedophile’s motive of training babies to “suck harder” on parts of adult men’s anatomy in a video, featuring a photo of Prince Andrew using a ball shaped like a human female breast to play with an unknown baby on the floor of one of his UK homes. Here are some photos:

…reportedly at Frogmore Cottage in Berkshire…
Seconded 👍
“The far-Left lynch mobs bringing ‘civil war’ to French streets”
Obviously you have to break a few heads in the big scheme of bringing love not hate!
Just like the Bolsheviks, who went on to slaughter millions of Russians, and then 12 Million Christian Ukrainians in the Holodomor of 1933. Chairman Mao emulated the Bolsheviks’ example, slaughtering untold millions of Chinese people, as you know.
Mass murder is what Communists do…
“Detective at London Bridge attack is sacked over traveller jokes”
He reportedly called travellers “pikeys”, and was sacked for it, even though it was used as long ago as the 15th century with reference to “TURNPIKES”, and is even used by Ethnic Romani gypsies (whose ancestral homeland is India) to refer to non-Ethnic Romani gypsies.
Has anyone ever been sacked for calling White People “GAMMON”?
May I add this truly sinister development to the Round-Up:
Preparation For Martial Law? Europe To Recruit Migrants For “National Defense”
“Ireland just recently announced that they are reviewing a possible program to give fast-track citizenship to IMMIGRANTS WHO VOLUNTEER TO JOIN THE MILITARY. Irish leaders assert that this is necessary to boost defence capabilities, but they also argue that it is need to increase Ireland’s “diversity.” ”
“Several other European governments are looking at similar programs, including Germany, France and Spain. ”
“In other words, sell Europeans on the idea that they have no shared ancestry and that migrants going to war for them is proof enough that they are loyal and should be citizens. Of course, it’s unlikely that migrants will be convinced to risk their lives for Europeans. They might, however, be easily convinced to help oppress Europeans in exchange for citizenship and the spoils of subjugation. “
