Why is the BBC Holding Up China as a “Green Superpower”?
Since Trump’s election, there has been a concerted and clearly well-organised attempt to portray China as stepping up to take the global lead in the fight against climate change. As public interest in Net Zero wanes, both here and in much of the Western world, for the climate establishment it is important to gaslight us that the rest of the world is still going hell for leather in the fight and that we must continue to do our bit.
The same happened, I recall, during Trump’s first term, but apparently nobody at the time told China!

Why is the BBC Holding Up China as a “Green Superpower”?
Because the Left (the madleft, as I call it) has always been made up of two groups which share interlocked fantasies: the sadists, i.e. the jackboot wearers, and the masochists, i.e. those who need to feel the jackboots pressing on their faces. All the leftwing regimes since the French Revolution have exhibited this.
You are wrong for the right reasons – if that is possible. The extreme Far Left’s main policy is the replacement of western democracy with a socialist revolution. This is not made up. It is their main policy goal. To achieve this they follow a Trotskyite game plan combining infiltration of political parties and institutions with the operation of covert fronts which hijack seemingly important moral issues like anti-racism and anti-facism [whilst one too many hypocritically being racist and fascist and anti-semitic]. They do this instead of contesting democratic elections. The objectives are the three Ds – division, disruption to create destabilisation of social structures, our politics and economy. They do not really care about the moral issues themselves provided they can use them to destabilise. Stand Up to Racism, Love Music Hate Racism, Unite Against Fascism are all covert Far Left fronts for example. The entire transgender issue is solely pursued by the extreme Far Left to destabilise our social structures. It is insidious. U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy by creating McCarthyism and the ridiculous and meaningless “Reds Under the Beds” slogan did the world a huge disservice because frankly he was too thick to address the real problem of… Read more »
I wonder how many people reading this article are outraged at the BBC proselytising their climate change scam narrative yet still pay the TV licence propaganda fee?
Selective vision seems to one of the consequences of the green disease, as does failure of the power of reasoning.
Merely shows how much TDS has infected the BBC – the subtext is anti-Trump rather than pro-China.
The BBC is basically a political campaigning organisation masquerading as a broadcaster. They managed to mention that one of the skaters competing in the Winter Olympics is anti-Trump in a report on the ladies free skate final. They regularly feature pieces from sports people getting on some left wing political hobby horse (I only look at the sports news).
Again, as of this morning, China has a carbon intensity miles ahead of anywhere in Europe, except for Czechia and Poland. Of course, for some of us, that is a good thing, putting more plant food in the air, it’s just the real pollution that goes with coal that is undesirable, sulphur, carbon dust etc, but I don’t know if the Chinese have modern scrubbing techniques to reduce this. Of course, the BBC is following Government orders in praising this evil regime, so everything Chinese is good
Why is the BBC Holding Up China as a “Green Superpower”?
In very general terms the Left have always admired collective Single State instances (Russia, early Nazi, Cuba, EU) as being closer to Utopia. Since the BBC is part of the Establishment, and the Establishment has always been infected by the Leftish intelligentsia, then of course the BBC idolise China.
The Left are desperate: they desperately want some sort of alternative to having to give the US concessions on trade in exchange for investment. Trouble is, China steals foreign technology investments while making nugatory ones elsewhere 🙁
No comments section either, I note.
“China has added more capacity for generating solar energy… “
Capacity is not ability to supply. At least 50% of “capacity” cannot be supplied because it’s too dark.
It seems pretty clear to me that this government and its supine blob are beholden to China.
China has 1200 or so coal fired power stations and is commissioning new additional coal fired plants space. The UK closed its last plant last year
China has been sponsoring green activism in the West for two decades & they have got a good return on their investment.
Shame the BBC doesn’t employ real journalists
Because the “deniers” always say “why should we stop using fossil fuels when China is burning coal like it is going out of fashion”—–So if you can present China as GREEN then that slaps that argument down in the eyes of those who might side with the “deniers”
But China is in fact burning more coal in a year than we have since the beginning of time, it is just that the BBC hate you knowing that.
