If a criminal offence is suspected the police are the people to look into it. Not a department of state answerable to the Prime Minister snd leader (sic) of the Labour Party.

Perhaps I watch too much crime drama but would iut not be usual for the police to take and examiune monile devices and other information held by a suspect.
