Meet the Green Councillor Taking Her Grandchildren to Give Valentine’s Cards to Asylum Seekers in Crowborough

Why is a Green Party councillor taking her own grandchildren to give Valentine’s cards to the asylum seekers housed in the local Crowborough army camp, wonders Michael Deacon in the Telegraph. Here’s an excerpt:

During the Presidential election campaign of 2024, aides to Donald Trump ran into an unexpected problem. They wanted to tell voters about the maddest things that Kamala Harris, and her fellow Democrats, had said and done. Unfortunately, many of these things were so outlandishly absurd (for example, Harris’s view thatĀ the US taxpayer should fund ā€œgender-affirming surgeryā€ for illegal immigrants), many voters assumed that Trump’s team had made them up.

ā€œWhen you outline the Democratic agenda,ā€ sighed one Republican, ā€œyou have to water it down, because in both polling and focus groups, people just don’t believe itā€¦ā€

I fear that we’re now facing a similar problem in Britain. After all, who on earth would believe that a Green Party councillor in East Sussex is getting her own grandchildren to give Valentine’s cards to the grown men housed in a local camp forĀ asylum seekers?

It sounds far too ridiculous to be true. And yet here, in her own words, is Cllr Anne Cross, speaking at a recent council meeting. ā€œMy grandchildren and I painted some cards – Valentine’s cards – at the weekend, which we are going to be presenting to the men in the camp in Crowborough as a welcomeā€¦ā€

All I can say is, times have clearly changed. When I was a child, we were strictly instructed never to talk to strange men. We certainly weren’t encouraged to present them with home-made greetings cards covered in love hearts.

Still, perhaps my parents’ generation was wrong, and we should have been more inclusive of strange men. How cruel, hateful and prejudiced it was, to assume that they posed some kind of danger to children. Why, they only wanted to give us some sweeties. And to take us to see the puppies they said they kept in the back of their vans.

Worth reading in full (particularly as in the first part of his column Michael defends Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s recent comments about immigration with a reminder that in 2023 Sadiq Khan approved the plastering of the poem Colonization in Reverse all over the London Underground).

Literally no helping people like this. They are absolutely demented, and I’d imagine her views would not change even if (God forbid) her own granddaughters were to be subjected to the sexual aggression which some similar unvetted, unknown individuals have perpetrated.

People like this are just mentally ill, how does any sane person think this is a good idea?

She clearly has compassion, but it is totally and utterly misplaced! She knows nothing of these people.

I thought Valentine cards were given to someone you fancied, romantically speaking. Maybe I am wrong. Seems downright creepy to me. I presume the parents approve. Poor kids.

I wonder if what we have with this barking-mad woman is the dangerous fantasy of the exotic stranger who won’t take no for an answer.

Do you think she knows Saint Valentine was a Christian martyr?

Virtue signalling on a grand scale to the beleaguered inhabitants of Crowborough that Cllr Cross is so much nicer, kinder and understanding than they are, even if their safety is compromised and their properties are now unsaleable. In fact their lives are ruined indefinitely and my heart (pun intended) bleeds for them. Cllr Cross should not be allowed to involve minors in this situation, especially as she is in public office. Where is the safeguarding when it is needed?

Safeguarding provides neither guards nor safety.

I don’t know who’s worse: the Labour Party, full of Fabian oikophobe nonces, or the Green Party, which is a legitimate clown show full of weapons grade dangerous woke cretins. I think if they were collectively lobotomized we wouldn’t be able to tell.

‘Virtue is it’s own greatest reward’ Sigmund Freud.

People like this are suffering from full blown Virtuousness Derangement Syndrome. Even Starmer, Hermer and Jolyon Maugham can’t compete with this!

All I’ll say is she ( and many more of her ilk ) must have one hell of a blind spot when it comes to ignoring the many crimes, especially sex offences, which are perpetrated by unvetted men with a migration background, whether they be fresh off the boat or have acquired citizenship. And this deranged bint gets bonus points for being a woman because if we ever needed any more evidence that women are most definitely NOT the stereotypical ‘caring and nurturing’ sex then this is it. She’s clearly more concerned about the wellbeing of men from a hostile, misogynistic culture than she is for the safety of native women and girls. Why doesn’t she just send Valentines cards to prisoners in a category A prison and have done? I hope she’s had some serious backlash as a result of this idiocy.

It seems she is setting up kids for the unthinkable. She is clearly an imbecile and should not be allowed anywhere near children.

Mental derangement on the left is becoming extremely common, they literally have no idea what sort of insanity they are suggesting.

Surely her children should be telling grandma to back off or they’ll excommunicate her.

Remembering of course that Crowborough is in East Sussex and as such has been denied elections for the last two years – what a handy coincidence for the pro-rape Green Party their leader, Zack The Tramp, having shown his disapproval at taking steps to stop the rape gangs.

Illegal immigrants from the camp have already been seen lurking outside a school, and this leftie lunatic wants to take her children there with ‘come rape me’ cards!!

Time to remove women from the democratic process. Most women are so soft and emotional that they would be sympathetic to Adolf Hitler and Himmler if they arrived on a small boat and had brown skin.
We need steel hard men to take power and shake out the madness from this nation. I’d support a dictatorship if it was right leaning (and no, BBC socialist normies, and university educated types, Hitler wasn’t right wing, he led a brown socialists government).

Yeah but you know how selective with facts the resident misogynists are, with their tunnel vision and pathological need to always scapegoat women. Evidence which doesn’t support their bias and refutes their narrative is duly ignored, ad infinitum. ‘Twas ever thus…šŸ˜

When it comes to the GREENS (REDS) nothing is unbelievable. They are not even able to tell you they are communists so they have to call themselves GREEN instead.

When I first went to primary school we were sent home with Valentine cards we had made. I carried on giving my father a Valentine for some time until it was gently pointed out that it wasn’t quite ā€˜appropriate’. Since then I have been very careful! Under no circumstances can I imagine doing what this daft woman did. A collision of well-meaning misguided liberalism with the realities of the outside world.

If I was her child and so ergo they were my children, she would never be seeing them again, young girls/women not safe in their own country and she cannot see whats wrong with this?, words fail me, not fit to be a grandparent.
