Labour’s Brazen Hypocrisy on Foreign Interference
This week it was announced that the Government will “ban political party donations from foreign-owned companies” in order to curb overseas interference in elections. It plans to do this through ‘The Representation of the People Bill’, which will also introduce voting rights to 1.7 million people aged 16 and 17. Steve Reed, the Local Government Secretary, said the Bill would “usher in a new era for our democracy – one that protects against foreign interference and empowers young people”. Yeah right…
The Bill was mostly a response to Left-wing fears that Elon Musk might very generously fund Reform. The Government has also commissioned a review by former senior civil servant Philip Rycroft into foreign interference in UK politics, following Welsh Reform UK leader Nathan Gill being jailed for accepting bribes to promote Russian interests. It will certainly be interesting to see how comprehensive the review is, which is due to be published in March. The fact is that the Left is no stranger to foreign interference itself. In today’s piece I will do my own ‘review’ of foreign interference that the Left engages in. Apparently this stuff doesn’t count, though.

Good work as always from Charlotte. There is a lot to dislike about these lefties and their approach to other people’s lives.
“It strikes me that funding on the Left is treated as ‘philanthropy’, whereas anything Right-wing becomes ‘foreign interference’.”
Very well put and thanks as always. I think the trick the left has pulled off is to lodge in people’s minds that “left” is not “left” at all, but simply normal and NICE, and that “right” is nasty.
They are working hard to ensure that the world is dominated on their terms, irrespective of what the little people want.
Tyrants
The left is inherently hypocritical. It has to be: it is an inevitable consequence of its self-righteousness and belief in the moral superiority of its basic tenets.
Everything it does is guided by this fact. Right from the beginning, Marx’ own lifestyle to the modern leftist leaders’ corruption, their approach is something like this: as we hold progressive, noble, righteous ideas, by definition whatever we do is also righteous; in contrast our political opponents are simply wrong and therefore they are also despicable beings.
They are such hypocrites.
Incidentally if they are giving the 16b year olds the vote, then they need to classify them as Adults for everything, thats for jail terms, repeal the smoking regs that say they cannot smoke, they can die for their country, get married (that should please the favoured class),place a bet, sign a contract etc. If they are mature enough to vote, then they are Adults and should be treated by the law as such.
Wanna bet if they do, they lower the age of consent to 14? just saying, they are very fond of children in Labour.
Don’t forget the over-bearing influence of Israel.
Examples with evidence please.
One point: if these foreigners weren’t paying for this, we taxpayers would be made to.
And, yes, even the furthest left think of themselves as decent, sensible, reasonable centrists, just as us on the right do. Both Stalin and Hitler thought of themselves as decent, sensible, reasonable, as did Mao Tse Tung.
I am decent, sensible and reasonable not because I am “on the right” whatever that means but because I have no interest in telling other people what to do or fixing them or fixing “society” or fixing the world or trying to achieve perfection for anyone but myself. I try to mind my own business and wish everyone else would mind theirs. Stalin and Hitler and Mao in my book were on the same part of the political spectrum in the most important regard.
So many pigs; so many troughs.
Foreign interference? Labour sent a team to campaign for Harris in the US election
Roll on, May the 7th when the earth’s axis will shift sharply to the right.
We know whose paying the bill, but who exactly is this country being run by?, always said politicians biggest mistake is to treat the electorate as if they are stupid, well written article, .
So in other words, Mayors will bring the global agenda directly into all our cities….
I’ve often wondered why we need a mayor when we have elected MPs. Now I know!
