Left-Wing Bias in Education

Left-wing bias in education. It has been following my son through every school he has attended and has once again raised its ugly head at his current college in Bedfordshire. My son is currently studying three A-level subjects there, having joined in September last year. One of those subjects is A-level law – evidence-based, focusing on factual information without fear, favour or prejudice, right? Not quite, it seems.

Although he has been at the college for less than a year, he (and we as parents) have noticed extreme Left-wing agendas and beliefs being pushed onto the students. Many, if not most, of the students either swallow it unthinkingly – hook, line and sinker – or go along with it, simply going through the motions to (as they may hope) move on to other topics. For better or for worse (you decide), our son is in neither of those camps; instead, he highlights inconsistencies and failures in the belief systems being pushed, generally getting himself into a regular pickle because of it.

In so far, M’lud, I would like to present exhibit (a) below as evidence:

For clarity, I’ve included the text from the task below:

Ahmed was sitting in his house when a brick, thrown by Bryan, crashed through his window. Ahmed feared that he was about to be attacked by Bryan’s gang which was noted for racist attacks. In a panic, Ahmed rushed out of his house and jumped into his van. He raced to the police station.

Ignoring liability for any property offences, discuss the criminal liability of Bryan for the incident with a brick.

Why should the property offence be ignored? What evidence do they have – apart from hearsay – that Bryan has a record of racist attacks? If Bryan attacked multiple houses regardless of who lived in them, then surely that would point to the fact that it was not a racist attack but a local troublemaker instead? No evidence is provided – no verbal abuse, written messages left behind, or any other act indicating a racist motive. However, students are directed to focus on the one part of the case with no evidence – law applied through prejudices, biases and emotions.

It is troubling to see this happening, and it is not the first time on this course that white males have been portrayed as the criminals. Another fictional case that my son’s law class was provided with centred on a transgender (male) person going into a workplace in a dress and being assaulted. But rather than focus on the physical assault, the attention was shifted onto it being a gender-based assault by a white, heterosexual man. Once again, no background was given, with students led to base their legal conclusions on taught prejudices, assumptions and emotions. During this exercise, the text referred to the transgender man as “she” and “her”. My son mentioned that the pronouns should have been “he” and “him” and once again was reported to the college’s safeguarding team and received a dressing down from the college’s lesbian (so she claimed to our son) deputy head.

Note that I said “once again”, as this is now the second time our son has been reported. The first time, back in October, was during a discussion of the Israel-Palestine conflict. Our son, perhaps unwisely in these dangerous times, mentioned that he supported Israel in the conflict. He was quickly rounded on by other students in his class and called a Nazi. I myself received a call from the college’s safeguarding team, where a member of staff said they were concerned by his pro-Nazi views in supporting Israel and that he had also mentioned supporting the Reform party in class.

Let’s reiterate what he was accused of:

  • He supported the rights of Israel (and therefore the Jewish people) in the recent conflict
  • He felt his values and beliefs align with the Reform party, a legitimate and legal political party in the UK at the time of writing
  • Both of these facts somehow put him on par with the Nazi party in 1930’s/40’s Germany

So the Nazis were big supporters of the Jews, right? And naturally Nazis working with Jews equals Reform? Remember, this was a supposed adult member of staff at an A-level college telling me this over the phone.

I am pleased to say that I was unable to withhold my disbelief and anger during the call. It was absolutely pathetic and highlights an education policy based on extreme Left-wing ideology. We were told that they want to make sure they are an inclusive place, but it seems only for those who hold the same beliefs and opinions as them.

It’s never easy to swim against the current especially, it would seem, in todays leftist climate.
The sad thing is, the majority of those who actually fought the nazis and fascists some 80+ years ago would, today, fall under the umbrella of the new, and ambiguous, nazi/fascist definition.
The Son of the author has the respect of this old fart.
Good lad.

It sounds like the college Leadership team are both shallow and highly ignorant. To start throwing the term ‘Nazi’ around is quite disgusting. It’s Godwin’s Law as a starter for 10!!

However the complete lack of historical knowledge is jaw dropping. Just what did they think happened in WWII?

Is there an alternative place to study?

This is a textbook example of leftist logic:

“He supported Jews, therefore he is a Nazi.”

Slavery is freedom.

War is peace.

2 + 2 = 5 or 3, or 4, or any other number if the party so decides.

The cynic in me would state that this is a textbook example of The Democratic Argument™: The other guys are always called Nazis regardless of who they are or what they want.

To people who support the Palestine cause, Israel represents the other guys and hence, support for Israel is obviously Nazi. That this doesn’t make the least bit of sense is of no concern for these people, they’re just acting instinctively as it was drilled into them. Another example would be privileged black people, insofar I remember this correctly, Diane Abott and Whoopy Goldberg among them, claiming that Hitler’s murderous diatribes against the Jewish race couldn’t possibly be true racism because his victims didn’t have the proper skin colour for that.

For a fist full of roubles

Is there any chance that this member of staff could be sanctioned for hurty words by calling him a Nazi?
I know such action would go against the grain for right thinking people, but it is time they were snared by the same stupidity that they apply to us normal people.

Does anyone have any evidence for the existence of “white people gangs” committing ‘racists’ attacks against Muslims at a sufficiently large scale that this actually matters and where is this mythical place were preciously few isolated Muslims live among a lot of white people who are hostile to them for no particular reason?

Isn’t reality rather the exact opposite of that?

This strikes me as similar to Adolescence where the left-wing establihsment simply makes up something they would like to exist instead of dealing with what actually exists.

Where exactly does ‘Muslim flight’ occur within this country? Most of the flight seems to be from their home country cesspits to here.

Excellent point. The same kind of people who grant refugee status to illegal immigrants after they’ve fled to this supposedly safe country then come up with contrived textbook examples like this one which implicitly suggeststhat they should really flee from here because of violent persecution by the (still) population majority.

The only time I see ”white people gangs” it’s the likes of these vicious thugs: Antifa. Because, despite how they’re always well covered up to hide their I.D ( apart from one bloke who likes to show himself cross-dressing on TikTok videos ), the bits visible show that they’re of white ethnicity. A recent and particularly horrible example from Italy;

”Tens of Thousands of radical Far Left Antifa took over the streets of Turin yesterday. When night fell, 1,000s of them clashed with police – all this was over a Giorgia Meloni decision to shut down a large building that was being used by illegal migrant squatters. These far left protests are well funded, well resourced, and highly organised.”

True to form, the “safeguarding team” is charged with enforcing doctrinal purity – neither safe nor guarding.

I have questioned the truth of racially aggravated crime for ages. If I, as a white Anglo-Saxon Swindon Town supporter, were to walk out of a pub and meet a gang of Bristol City fans, who decide to kick my head in, while my friend, coincidentally a Rovers fan of Caribbean descent, walks out of the other door, stumbles across the same gang and receives the same treatment, then how is my attack any less of a crime than that meted out to my friend? But that’s the reality of racially motivated crime, my white privilege makes it so much less doesn’t it?

Absolutely demented. This won’t be undone by a single election or party – regardless of their ideology – it is like a deep-seated cancer which will require microsurgery and ongoing attention to eradicate.

I think you’ve misunderstood. It is a safeguarding issue. They are warning that if he continues to voice such opinions he will be beaten up in a racist attack.

After that he will be expelled.

My friend’s 8 year old came back from school a few weeks ago and asked his Dad what a terrorist and a racist was. His Dad immediately asked him where he had heard these things. He said a man came into their class to do a talk and he gave them all a work sheet with 4 images of people. One white man, one black woman, one brown guy in a turban and one white woman.
The caption said “Match the description to the photo”

The descriptions were:
Airline captain
Terrorist
Multi-millionaire businessman
Racist

Yep, you got it in 3 seconds..

My mate naturally stormed into the school the next day and had extremely strong words with the head. Apparently the guy was from Stand Up To Racism. The head claimed she was incredibly sorry and didn’t know what was in the talk.

If she didn’t know this poisonous bullshit was being dripped into her pupil’s brains then she failed due diligence and she should lose her job. If she did know, she needs to be nowhere near a school.

When you have no argument you attack —–THE ARGUER. —-The arguer in these cases is clearly always a far right Nazi or Fascist. Only a Liberal Progressive world view is acceptable, and right wing thought is to be made illegitimate and even criminal. —-There is only one word for this—-TYRANNY.

If thats the “level” of education these days then we have no hope, as a parent I would be putting in a complaint, calling a child a Nazi shows this so called educators lack of education. As for Palestian supporters, well if you wish to support a terrorist group, then you must expect opposition.

If it wasn’t so ridiculous, it would be funny! Clearly the teacher didn’t think that one through very well!

This is the BIG flaw in left wing politics! They don’t seem to see the absurdity!
