A Manchester-based legal worker named Samina Ahmed recently attempted to screw a reported £70,000 bonus out of her employers (and by extension the taxpayer, as she did Legal Aid work) by falsifying her timesheets to imply she had worked far more hours than she truly had. Unfortunately, when her bosses added all these exaggerated claims up, it turned out Ahmed must have been working impossible 28-hour days. To her, The Beatles’ Eight Days a Week was considered less a song, more a valid invoice filing.
Found guilty of being an idiot at a tribunal, Samina has since been struck off as a solicitor and initially fined £50,000, but this was subsequently reduced down to only £5,000, presumably after she successfully argued there were 1,000 pennies to each pound, at least in her world. In her defence, Ahmed pleaded an unmanageable workload, saying that, as a single mother of three young children, there just weren’t enough hours in the day – so she invented some.

I expect, if the Reform Party forms the next Government, that the postal voting system will be severely restricted again.

I really enjoyed Steven Tucker’s latest article, until I came to the part about “the admirable Somali-born anti-Islam activist”. I think Mr. Tucker ought to ask Dutch people what they think of that charlatan who lied about her background, just like Ilhan Omar, to get “asylum” in the Netherlands and Minnesota, respectively. What can you possibly know about how she and Ferguson feel about one another? I have always found her writing to be clear-thinking, charitable and infused with the desire to defend reason, rationality and Western enlightenment. You, by contrast, come across as demented.
