These geopolitical sagas are coming in thick and fast. Fortunately, we’ve all been well programmed in advance to know who are the goodies and who are the baddies.

There are no goodies or baddies. There are winners and losers. Pick a side.

Its the incredible excuse of the Lawyer, Autism, super bright, never tried to kill anyone before, and thats the reason he should be let off! He could have killed or put that woman in a wheelchair for life, if all of them aren’t given long sentences it proves once again that the establishment is anti semitic, pro Islam and behind the Starmer 2 tier justice policy

Listen up, straight white men: a woke comedian is here to tell you what you can and can’t joke about

I admire Rosie for living her life to the fullest despite her Cerebral Palsy. However, if she was arrested for being a comedian, they would have to let her go for lack of evidence.

I just don’t find female comedians funny. In fact, women in general rarely make me laugh. I think our humour is just different (as, despite all the nonsense about the sexes being the same, we are different in a whole myriad of ways). It’s hard to put a finger on why, but maybe Rosie’s unwittingly explained it for us: it doesn’t come as naturally and is born not from instinctive reactions but from carefully filtered thought. Whatever the reason, I just wish women would practice their jokes somewhere they’re comfortable, but out of the way… like the kitchen.

Queue the usual humourless replies about ‘misogyny’….

I just find it really condescending to be told what I can find amusing.

You do realise that some of us were let out of the kitchen and are a part of this group?

It just looks like an honest opinion taken from observation to me, so no need to take it personally. Actually there have been lots of women who were really funny but more in character roles than standup. Hattie Jacques, Thora Hird, Victoria Wood, Joyce Grenfell, Prunella Scales, Patricia Routledge, lots and lots. Then we get to Rosie, Katheryn Ryan an Sarah Pascoe on the other end of the spectrum. Its the end they share with the likes of Nish Kumar. For standup, Leanne Morgan is pretty good. She has a conservative Tennessee, and doesn’t do ‘woke’, maybe that’s the difference.

Joyce Grenfell. Bliss. Adore her. AZ very vey funny woman, bless her. Never mind the films – she had a TV series in which she was, I recall, a nursery school teacher. It was side-splittingly funny.

Sure. It was a bit of a silly one and not particularly funny (in my view of course), but I didn’t take it personally, as I think I’m pretty funny in my everyday life. My husband, wisely agrees.

Humour is obviously totally subjective anyway.

Well done for proving my point. It was a joke. A deliberately shit one, but a joke.

However, as a comedy writer and performer Caroline Aherne was at the top of the business.

Agreed. Horrible woman.

She’s certainly not in Bernard Manning’s class.

Starmer ‘misled public’ by suggesting OBR backed Chagos costs

If it looks like a duck if it quacks, swims, and waddles like a duck, its going to be hard to persuade me that it isn’t a duck.

Re the Kind and gentle students who broke into a legitimate business with sledgehammers, and one of them a male attacked a woman with a sledgehammer on her back. His Lawyer argues in his defence that he has lots of degrees and is very intelligent, a philosopher indeed, he also has that very fashionable super power autism. Frankly I don’t care if he is the reincarnation of Einstein, in fact any of them, they premeditated an attack on a business, they took weapons, theri was intention to cause harm, perhaps even death. They are clearly spoiled, elitist people who believe that because they attended top Universities this allows them to commit violence with impunity.
I hope the Jury and the judge throws the book at them. No ordinary, white person on the street would get away with this.

I am in complete agreement. Actually their alleged intelligence is just that – alleged. These are people who have been unable to work out all the possible consequences of their actions. The prick taking a sledgehammer to a woman should be sent down for life as a warning to other idiots out there.

I think I can reasonably predict that will not be the case.

Did anyone else know Rosie Jones was a comedian? She hid that well.

Idiots. There never has been a “Palestine”. Arafat invented it in the 1960s. Jews have been living in “Palestine” continuously since the late Bronze Age, some 3000 years.

History…
