Guardian Claims The Traitors is Racist Because Two Black People Were Voted Off

A Guardian writer has claimed that The Traitors TV show is racist because two black contestants were voted off, despite two white contestants also getting the axe. The Mail has the story.

The controversial article was prompted after black contestants Judy and Ross were voted off by their castmates who wrongly suspected they were traitors.

Writer Athena Kugblenu argued in an article for the Left-wing publication that the result proved that “racial bias” was at play and reflected the “reality” of living in this country.

She wrote: “If there is one thing that has impacted the experience of Black [sic] people in this country, it’s the accusation of acting and looking suspicious.”

Ms Kugblenu, 44, then compared the banishment of Judy and Ross to cases of wrongful stop and search by the police.

Despite acknowledging widespread black representation in public life, she argues “we may be guilty of letting this representation conceal our everyday experiences”.

The writer added: “These reality shows serve only to remind us that if our presence was up for any kind of national debate, it’s an argument we might not win.”

But she failed to mention that Hugo and Amanda, who were both white [and one of whom was faithful], were also voted off by their fellow contestants.

Non-white contestants Netty and Maz have also been murdered by the Traitors.

Writer and comedian Simon Evans told the Daily Mail: “We have heard it all before. This is a mishmash of various complaints and grievances and also acknowledgements that incredible progress has been made since Britain was actually, evidently racist.

“Black people read the news, host Mastermind, and are if anything (as was recently discussed heatedly) over-represented on TV commercials.

“But if two black people get voted off in a row on a TV show then apparently there is still work to be done.

“This is not a helpful, productive or healthy lens through which to view TV game shows or society at large.

“It is – like capitalising ‘Black’ – part of a general trend of importing American racial history and dynamics into a country with a completely different set of problems and until five minutes ago, a much more functional attitude to race.”

Some people see problems and create solutions for them. Some other people create something they very much want to be a solution and thus, seek the manufacture problems it could be applied to. The Guardian article is clearly an example of the latter.

It is called Political Correctnes or Wokery, and is being enforced by ESG (Environmental and Social Governance). So that we saw a TV Period Drama about the life of Mozart recently where there were many black people in the cast trying to make it look like this was normal in 18th century Austria. I think they call it “Colour Blind Casting”. But in 18th century Austria apparently there were a tmost 2 dozen black people in the whole country.
All must now be aligned with ESG or risk a backlash, being name called, getting no funding or investment. —-It is truly PATHETIC

In this particular case, the core of it is so-called critical race theory which is an American political theory Americans created to describe the situation in America. Only the USA ever had seggregations laws and only the USA didn’t abolish slavery until the 2nd half of the 19th century. It didn’t ever exist in Europe proper and most European countries also never had any overseas possessions where it did exist.

NB: I agree with your point about the Mozart movie and considering that Mozart was German, I’m inclined to call it cultural appropriation. Germans aren’t black (+/- isolated cases) and hence, blacks ought not pretend that they’re German, no more than I’d pretend to be a Zulu. OTOH, the best way to handle TV dramas is to ignore them.

There was strict segregation in South Africa until modern times. W A Mozart was born in Salzburg and died in Vienna. Like Hitler, he was Austrian, not German. His significant librettist Da Ponte was not black and his identity is misappropriated in the film.

South Africa didn’t have segregations laws but a different system and that’s not at all relevant when writing about differences between the USA and Europe.

While Mozart lived, Austria was a part of the Habsburg crown territories who were emperors of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation. Austria was considered a part of Germany until the so-called small-German empire was founded in 1871. The German-speaking parts of Austria voted to join Germany in 1919 which the “Self-determination of the peoples!”-people obviously prohibited. That Austria must “forever” remain separated from Germany despite it’s populated by Germans only became part of the Austrian constitution after the second world war.

Apart from that, he wasn’t even born in Austria but an ecclesiastical principality which was also a part of the Holy Roman Empire (Archbishopric of Salzburg) which existed until its territory was annexed by the emperor and made part of Austria in 1805.

Already in my original comment. That’s why you shouldn’t have claimed it was wrong.

Many Guardian journalists are self-evidently incapable of critical thinking, as well as being both unbelievably stupid and anti-white racist, so we should not be overly surprised by this article by Ms Kugblenu.

Ms Kugblenu has been mentally colonized by US domestic politics and hence, tries to transplant the situations which begat them into her environment so that she doesn’t have to change her acquired prejudices about how things simply must be. That’s a pretty common affliction on the current so-called left in the so-called west: They’re all imitating American politics to address American issues which largely only exist in their minds.

Example: Similar to the English word negro which used to be used to describe black people without implying anything negative about them (Martin Luther King used it extensively in his I have a dream speech), the traditional word used for black people in German was Neger¹. This has meanwhile been ostracized from German as “the n-word” despite it has absolutely no relation to the real n-word. But left-wing German politicians and establishment types simply want to have one, too, so that they can apply US-style political ranting to it.

¹ Example of that: Der Neger Nobi is the original title of children’s novel written by the communist Ludwig Renn. It’s about an African superhero child fighting successfully against white slavers in Africa.

I think she’s trying to normalise the idea that all/any non-white failure, underperformance, shortcomings must be to due to racism.

Well you know what the world is full of people who love you, so go there and don’t come back.

How fed up are we of this mental stuff, call me racist? Guess what I don’t care, never have really, and now even less.

This it the problem – the constant denigration of the English people by immigrants (I no longer care what generation). Their blatant racism and hostility to one of the most tolerant and welcoming people in the world is starting to be responded to in kind. Whilst my heart still pumps, this is my England and my culture, and if you’re not comfortable with that – if you see problems at every turn – then find somewhere better to live. But understand that if you want to live here then respect our country, respect our heritage, and respect that the people that this country belongs to are white. And if you can’t accept that then piss off.

I never thought I’d ever get to where I’m at. Never. Depressing.

Half-time in the Spurs-Villa game. One ethnicity over-represented on both sides and throughout the results business that is top level football.

Called meritocracy – Guardian hacks please note.

Over representation of non-whites among players – meritocracy
“Under” representation of non-whites among management – RACISM!!!

Amazed that more people don’t get it, yet. Brainwashing works, I guess.

I have no idea who these people are, which in itself absolutely seems to qualify them as ‘celebrities’.

I’ve no idea who these people are either. I don’t think this version of Traitors uses ‘celebrities’. I think these are ordinary folk who want to become celebrated for winning or being ejected from a ‘reality’ TV game show.

I would say that as anyone can be voted off and that has included white people the black contestants are being treated equally.
This is not directly related but on the same subject here is some patronizing racism in the form of ‘caring’ for the ‘hardships’ of black people.

That is a fantastic clip. It wonderfully highlights the patronising attitude of the Liberal mindset, the self-loathing of their own skin colour, and their outright racist attitude towards people who these Liberals truly believe they are speaking up for and representing.

Malcolm X said the biggest danger to black Americans was white liberals, or words to that effect. Obviously this is the American definition of ‘liberal’ as you would think liberals are for individual freedom?

Luckily, The Guardian is a Far Left paper that no sensible person takes any notice of

Currently the Guardian clownshow is tearing itself apart as it really wants to support the murderous terrorist muslim mullahs in Iran as they shoot protestors on the streets who want the Shah to return to rule but thinks it might not play too well. So full on support for those in Gaza fighting against supposed oppression but hey you Iranians suck it up and keep quiet. The World would certainly be better off without the Iranian mullahs…and without the Guardian too.

I wonder if either of the former contestants would like to play the race card and complain of unfair treatment?

It appears Kugblenu wants to play the race card on their behalf.

For a fist full of roubles

I don’t watch it. Are there any black people left who haven’t been voted off?

Yes, of course. Unfortunately one of the gay contestants got voted out too by the homophobics….

In life if you disagree with a white person it is just your opinion. But if you disagree with a black person you are a “Racist”—-Oh dear I think I will go and make a bit of toast. Cold out today isn’t it?

Wouldn’t it also be racist not to think anyone could act and look suspicious? Presumably all the competition participants would have awareness training beforehand to eliminate or acknowledge such possibilities?

The Traitors line up was the usual BBC lineup of assorted freaks and egos – an ex lesbian police detective, a yaying woman-child with a stutter, a guy who grew up queer (his words) in the Scottish highlands, a gay guy that works in a sweetie shop and a secret mixed race couple (he’s one of the BLACK people that was voted off in such a racist way). The only one that seems to have a modicum of intelligence is a middle aged ex- Barrister and crime author…she’s quite refreshing actually

If the left can’t make hay stoking up racial division then what else can it do? Champion a working class that it despises?
