Reform More Popular Than Labour Among Mumsnet Users

A Mumsnet survey has found Reform is now the go-to party for mums who used to lean left. The Sunday Times has the story.

The conventionally centre-Left parenting forum has become a barometer for mothers’ voting intentions. Analysis of Mumsnet conversations correctly predicted the country would choose to leave the European Union in the 2016 referendum.

Now research shows 20% of users intend to vote Reform UK in the next election, placing the party ahead of Labour, the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats. It is the first time since the Mumsnet political poll began in 2009 that Labour has been usurped by any party.

Justine Roberts, the co-founder of Mumsnet, said she was surprised to see the results from the poll of more than 1,000 adults, but understood “why many mums have become disillusioned” with the Government.

Analysis of conversations on Mumsnet found there was anger about rising taxes, failed welfare reforms, NHS pressures and the perceived effect of immigration on public services.

Roberts said: “This is reflecting a general disillusionment with Labour having not achieved what people hoped they would have achieved. There is also an increasing worry about two particular issues, the cost of living and immigration.

“On immigration Reform has been very, very strong. The idea that immigration is an issue only the Right cares about has just gone now. These are major issues that you’ve got to get to grips with and the main parties have been a bit incompetent.”

The proportion of Mumsnet users saying they would vote Reform rose from 14% to 20% between 2024 and 2025. Labour support dropped from 41% to 18%, according to the site’s annual politics tracker survey, conducted in August and September 2025. The proportion of undecided voters grew from 8% to 23%.

The majority of the site’s users are women, with at least one child, in employment, aged 25 to 44. Almost a third live in London and the South East of England.

Roberts said Mumsnet reached half of all households with children under 19 so was a “really good barometer of what mums are thinking”. She said: “Mothers have often been seen, I think, as a fairly influential vote around election time because women tend to be less tribal. So their vote is more up for grabs.”

While many expressed their intention to vote for Reform, Nigel Farage remains a largely unpopular figure, analysis showed.

MumsGPT, Mumsnet’s artificial intelligence software, analysed 1,322 conversations about politics among users over the past 12 months.

The analysis found that “support for Reform on Mumsnet sits on top of deep dissatisfaction with current government performance, especially on living costs and immigration, and a perception that Farage/Reform are at least speaking directly to those concerns”.

Yeah well excuse me for my pessimism but Electoral Calculus says 72% of people are planning to vote Uniparty. What the hell is wrong with people?

the main parties have been a bit incompetent.

That is a bit of an understatement particularly with regard to immigration. You would assume that mums with daughters would be concerned about the import of rapists into this country and dispersing them around the South East such as the army camp in Crowborough.

This is Starmer demonstrating his usual Farage Derangement Syndrome using the medium of oral flatulence. His Frank Sidebottom-esque voice makes me want to stick my head in the oven. ”It is British to be diverse”, apparently;

”Count how many times Keir Starmer calls Reform “Toxic” in this video..”

You know they are all out of ideas when they spend all their time trying to rubbish the opposition – clearly their ‘stall’ has FA on it anyone wants to buy. If it did, they’d be talking about their own ideas / strategy and vision. Even typing the word vision in relation to 2TK Starmer makes me laugh – he wouldn’t know a vision if one bit him on the arse

Why was “anger about rising taxes, failed welfare reforms, NHS pressures” stated as fact whereas “the .. effect of immigration on public services” was only perceived to be true. I would havethought it was the easiest to observe of all the issues mentioned and affects a wider cross section of the public, including mums.

I remember so-called caring mothers of MumsNet saying they’d rather risk giving their children myocarditis rather than let them catch COVID 😂😂

Bunch of absolute nutters.

“Is there a Dadsnet?”, I wondered, so I looked it up, and found a single sentence on Mumsnet saying “It’s just a board on Mumsnet where men can post.”

So women control even the Dadsnet, and no doubt scrutinize any mens’ comments there, ready to pounce at the slightest hint of complaints about women.

The dads know what’s best for them. If a dad is all alone in a forest, is he still wrong?

I guess even virtue-signalling, lefty-leaning Mums get concerned about criminal migrants and the possibility of criminal migrants being placed in their areas …. and the consequent rapes, sex attacks and murders.

From the brief time I spent on Mumsnet back in the day, they are the type of person who will vote LibDem because they think they’re a cuddlier version of the Tories.
