If Those Who Pushed the Covid Vaccines Go to Trial, This Book Should be Exhibit A for the Prosecution

Spiked: a shot in the dark, by Dr Clare Craig

I was sceptical about COVID-19 from the start. I was in Wuhan when it started (something I only realised in retrospect) and one year into the ‘pandemic’ not a single colleague or friend there had contracted it. I also knew that people were not dropping dead in the streets.

I was not in denial about the existence of a novel virus (to which I eventually succumbed), but I was unconvinced that it posed the existential threat that was presented in the media. After all, I was in Hong Kong when SARS kicked off in 2003 and made regular visits during that ‘pandemic’. The outcome of SARS never matched the hysterical hype that accompanied it.

It took me longer to see through the COVID-19 vaccine scam. To enable me to travel, which was essential for my work, I was a willing recipient of the AstraZeneca vaccine. I happily waved my vaccine passport at airline officials on several visits to Europe and the United States.

Nevertheless, given the low risk from COVID-19, I was also convinced from the health perspective the vaccines were largely unnecessary. And then I started to investigate their efficacy and discovered, much to my consternation, that the COVID-19 vaccines – all of them – were virtually useless. In fact, an early piece of correspondence in the totally COVID-19-orthodox Lancet laid it out explicitly in 2021 by presenting the absolute risk reduction (ARR) and numbers needed to treat (NNT) for the whole range of COVID-19 vaccines.

Their efficacy, in terms of absolute risk reduction, hovered around 1% and the number needed to treat to prevent a single infection was in the hundreds. Given the low case fatality rate, a calculator was not required to work out that, to prevent a single death from COVID-19, the NNT was probably in the thousands.

The above preamble to this review of Dr Claire Craig’s excellent book Spiked: a shot in the dark is presented merely to demonstrate that, even to me as a hardened COVID-19 sceptic and someone with a son who had a stroke because of repeated Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines, the book was still a marmalade dropper.

Somewhere along the line I had somehow managed to miss the fact that the COVID-19 vaccines, with respect to Covid infection, were not only useless, they were worse than useless. People vaccinated with Covid vaccines were more, not less, likely to contract COVID-19 than those who remained unvaccinated. Dr Craig demonstrates this clearly and repeatedly using real data and referring to real studies.

If this is the case, therefore, why is this fact not more widely known? In fact, how has this not been headline news, ever? COVID-19 sceptics will be aware of the reasons which include deception, data manipulation, outright lying, repeated plugging of a false narrative and, of course, suppression and silencing of anyone who dared to counter the prevailing narrative on any aspect of the COVID-19 regime. The fact that the negative efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines, which I have now studied quite intensively, was news to me shows how effectively the suppression of COVID-19 or vaccine scepticism was implemented.

Naturally, the author, a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathology, suffered at the hands of the regime, coming under investigation by her professional body, the General Medical Council (GMC). As someone who also came under investigation by my professional body, the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), I was struck by the almost identical wording used in Dr Craig’s indictment to mine. This strongly suggests that we both suffered at the hands of a coordinated campaign of suppression. In passing, I must thank the author for support in her capacity as a member of the Health Advisory & Recovery Team (HART) via a co-signed letter to the NMC with Dr Ros Jones, also of HART.

Regarding the purported efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines, Dr Craig refers to the excellent work of statisticians Professors Martin Neil and Norman Fenton. While not using the term ‘cheap’ – the one used by Neil and Fenton – Dr Craig explains how it is possible to demonstrate the effectiveness of a vaccine even when the vaccine is not effective. The ‘cheap trick’ is one of classification, whereby people who are vaccinated are classified as unvaccinated up to a point when the effectiveness of the vaccine is supposed to kick in.

Thus, any illness or death in that initial period – usually two weeks – amongst the vaccinated is credited to the unvaccinated side of the ledger. As Neil and Fenton point out in Fighting Goliath, a vaccine with absolutely no benefit can be shown to be effective merely by the application of the cheap trick.

Incidentally, the cheap trick violates one of the key principles for measuring the outcome of clinical trials without which reputable medical journals such as the Lancet and the BMJ will not publish trial reports. The principle is that of intention to treat, whereby trial results are published based on how people are classified from the outset by their allocated arm (i.e., whether they are in the vaccinated or non-vaccinated group), not by their purported status based on rules of when the vaccine supposedly ‘kicks in’. By omitting this crucial analysis, the COVID-19 regime permitted, even encouraged, breaking the rules of good clinical trial practice.

Spiked is replete with examples of how COVID-19 vaccine data, properly considered, repeatedly show that the vaccines led, paradoxically, to increased risk of COVID-19. In many cases, those developing the vaccines and those with an interest in promoting the pro-vaccine narrative knew that the data did not support their cause. Others, possibly too thick to appreciate the subtleties of examining such data and desperate to have a solution to what they believed was a deadly pandemic (I include prime ministers, presidents and health secretaries) were caught up in what Dr Craig frequently refers to as a ‘pedal-to-the-metal’ mentality. However, as she also indicates, the pedal was to the metal without anyone at the steering wheel.

If the process of developing the COVID-19 vaccines was out of control, that was matched by the fiction of success – the vaccine as saviour narrative – that was being fabricated around the fragile evidence base. Despite no medication or vaccine in history ever being 100% effective, this claim was made repeatedly for the COVID-19 vaccines. I am indebted to Dr Craig for providing references to that as any search on Google now returns the information that such claims were never made.

Of course, as even the high priests of vaccinology eventually had to admit that they were not 100% effective, the narrative changed to accommodate this, and the goalposts were shifted to say that prevention was not the aim. Rather it was prevention of hospitalisation and death that was the aim. But even here, the 100% effective claim reared its mendacious head with US President Joe Biden claiming that they were, as such, “100% effective”.

Perhaps old Joe, then in the throes of advancing dementia, could be forgiven for getting his facts wrong. Except that he was backed up in this claim by no less a person than the chief architect of the COVID-19 narrative, Anthony Fauci. Again, credit to the author for providing the necessary references.

I refer above to the paradoxical effect of the COVID-19 vaccines. However, to experts in the field there should have been no paradox. Vaccines, which have their effect in the bloodstream, are notoriously ineffective at preventing upper respiratory tract infections. Very early in the COVID-19 years I had lunch at the House of Lords with a former member of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) who expressed his consternation at the COVID-19 vaccine rollout for that very reason.

The author declares one of the chapters to be more technical than the others and, in this chapter, she explains why the COVID-19 vaccines were having such a deleterious effect on COVID-19 infections. In short, there is a plausible mechanism whereby the Covid vaccines – which flood the body with COVID-19 spike proteins – lead to an initial suppression of the immune system which makes the vaccine recipient more, rather than less likely to become infected with COVID-19.

The immune system does more than fight COVID-19; it helps to fight other infections, and it also participates in surveillance for cancer. While Dr Craig does not include a consideration of increased levels of cancer or the ‘turbo-cancers’ reported by Professor Angus Dalgleish, she does refer to increased deaths from all causes including cancer as a result of the policies implemented during the COVID-19 years.

The increased levels of myocarditis observed in recipients of the Covid vaccines is referred to but the author does not dwell on this. She is more concerned with how an experiment on a massive scale on the population of the world could be conducted in the face of evidence that it was harmful.

Part of the drive to instil fear and push the campaign for vaccination without first investigating the costs versus benefits of such a strategy was the laughable modelling propagated by Professor Neil Ferguson and colleagues at Imperial College London. Dr Craig reflects on previous efforts at modelling pandemics by the same team, for example, for BSE, swine flu and foot and mouth disease, how they got those wrong and the disastrous consequences for the UK economy. She also provides instances of when; to accommodate modelling and predictions that did not reach expectations, the definition of ‘pandemic’ was changed, thereby lowering the bar for what constituted a pandemic.

As the Editor-in-Chief of several academic journals in my field, currently with Elsevier but working with Wiley during the COVID-19 years, I was fully aware of the policies implemented to fast-track COVID-19 papers. I refused to publish any articles on COVID-19 as I refused to participate in the fast-track peer review that was being encouraged. Dr Craig illustrates the damage that was done by this policy, which flooded the public domain with poorly scrutinised articles, all in praise of the COVID-19 vaccines. Articles which cast doubts on the vaccines were systematically filtered out or, if published, were soon retracted by journals succumbing to outside pressure. Pre-print articles were even removed from pre-print servers such as MedRxiv, contrary to the spirit of pre-printing. The academic publishing industry ought to hang its head in collective shame at the part it played in promoting the demonstrably harmful COVID-19 vaccine narrative.

The book concludes with a consideration of the powers that influenced the COVID-19 policies worldwide and the possible influence of both the Russian and Chinese communist parties. The are also communists in our midst who continue to influence pandemic preparedness; for example, Susan Michie who was a prominent member of SAGE, the panel chiefly responsible for advising the UK government. It does not take a genius to work out why ruining the economy of a liberal democracy and giving its citizens a taste of living under an oppressive regime would be favoured by communists.

Spiked: a shot in the dark ought to be in the hands of everyone who played a part, and continues to play a part, in promoting the COVID-19 vaccine narrative. General practitioners would be a good place to start; I continue to receive invitations for COVID-19 vaccine boosters. Every politician should read it and ponder their part in promoting the COVID-19 narrative and encouraging the public to take the COVID-19 vaccines. If ever Boris Johnson, Chris Whitty and Patrick Vallance go to trial for their negligence and deliberate ignorance of the facts then Spiked: a shot in the dark should be ‘Exhibit A’ for the prosecution.

Clare Craig has been brilliant throughout the entire scam that was and is Covid, I watched “The High Wire” Throughout the entire period and still do, she was interviewed along with many other Doctors, biologists etc, and the superb work carried out by Lawyer Arin Sirri (forgive mispelling of name). Fauci should be put on trial for mass murder along with Boula, the heads of the Companies which produced this poison and those who benefitted, either career wise or monetary. I include Mitchie, Valance, Whitty, Farrar, Hancock, Ferguson. The list is many more. All should be on trial for their lives, as they robbed so many of theirs in their selfish persuit of power and money.
Of course it will never happen, one can only hope divine retribution catches up with them, and at the point of them meeting it they acknowledge what it is for.

Agreed.
I’d also recommend this book :-

Vaccines Amen – The Religion of vaccines by US Lawyer and author Aaron Siri, who is one of Kennedy’s key men in the fight against bigpharma, showing how its tentacles have spread everywhere particularly in medical education and the MSM in order to protect its near 2 trillion dollar pa industry.

Having read it, I concur, and this is a good and accurate review.

I despair, however, about there ever being a reckoning for all this, or not until the main players are long gone or dead, as Andrew Bridgen says. Very little, it seems, is any longer even a resigning matter, let alone the courts becoming involved. The direction of travel with Hallett is clear.

Much depends I think on what RFK is able to achieve, and it is clear that he is fighting a very difficult battle.

The covid business, like the rape gang scandal is SO big that a reckoning cannever be allowed because taken to its natural conclusion would absolutely totally decimate the entire political establishment and all organs of the state.

They will go to infinitely extreme lengths, including probably murder and certainly extremely dubious lawfare to prevent or obstruct and proper enquiry.

There are doubtless a whole scaffolding of super dooper injunctions in place to prevent scrutiny.

Of course the BBC’s role as gatekeeper in chief is fundamental.

Beyond doubt RFK jnr is the key player. But he’s got a hell of a fight on his hands. The pharmaceutical industry has enormous resources and its tentacles go deep into both political parties and the administration. When Bridgen was forced out of the Conservative Party (on a wholly trumped-up charge of anti-semitism) and then lost his seat the jab sceptics lost their only really clear voice in British politics. Obviously neither Labour nor Tories offer the least hope of the corruption being exposed and, at present at least, there’s litte reason to hope that Reform will do any better. But they’re probably our best hope.

Even today, nearly five years after I first refused the opportunity to have myself injected with an experimental jab by ‘our wonderful NHS’ I have no shortage of friends who are so set on believing that they were beneficial that they won’t consider any evidence that suggests otherwise. I was quasi-ostracised by some in 2021 and 2022 as they gulped down the fearporn. I bit my tongue then, I very occasionally bite it now. Some have had health problems that might have been triggered by the jabs; who can know? As Mark Twain observed: ‘It’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they’ve been fooled.’ I don’t feel in the least smug about any of this. I don’t attribute not falling for the pharmaceutical industry’s scam to my wisdom but rather keep asking myself: How have I been fooled?

I’ve lost track of the number of relatives, friends, neighbours and acquaintances who have had strokes, heart attacks, blood clots, a variety of other illnesses and who are “constantly unwell.” Two of my neighbours have “long jab” … one is now effectively disabled for the rest of her life.

Over the Christmas period, two more (one a friend, one an acquaintance) have told me they have an advanced and aggressive cancer. That makes 8 since 2021/2022. 3 died quickly; one is terminal; it sounds like these two may be terminal; 2 have had treatment and may survive.

But so many are still not joining the dots.

That, if in more modest numbers is my experience too. I only know of one case in which a man I’ve known for years told me that his oncologist told him: ‘Your cancer is almost certainly due to the Pfizer jab, but unhappily I can’t put that in writing.’ What makes that instance doubly convincing is that we’d never discussed health issues before (our relationship is more commercial than fraternal) and he volunteered that info unprompted. In general I don’t like suggesting to people that their health problems could be down to the jab. In my experience it’s more likely to anger and alienate than encourage scepticism about the official narrative. For me, more than anything else the whole episode is an object lesson in human nature: ‘Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.’ Charles Mackay, Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds.

For the next “pandemic” we will all have a nice new compulsory digital ID to record our vaccine status to prevent non-conformers from existing as part of normal society. I think that they will wait until all this infrastructure is in place before they release the next scam.

I bought a copy via A, and agree with your review. As a member of the public that declined the offer when it was being promoted, I’m glad I said “no – wait and see” (or words to that effect). While she does mention the statistical work done by Norman Fenton, there is nothing about potential alternatives that could (and should) have been done, such as enhanced use of vitamin D3, or other drugs. Perhaps that is outside the main topic dealt with in the book, but I suspect that it was relevant to the extent that avoiding any discussion of it made it possible to use Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the covid 19 jab. If there really was an alternative, EUA should not have been granted at all. Another potential side effect may be for some of us to be even more sceptical about other products on offer. E.g re the current anti-flu one, someone who was interviewed on a news programme let slip that it is roughly 30% effective. Then again, todays marketing via similar channels is to add an anti chicken pox one for kids at the same time as MMR. Something else for the sceptics… Read more »

I have posted this many, many times :

The C1984 was downgraded from High Consequence Infectious Disease to Low Consequence Infectious Disease in order to allow for the removal / banning of any prophylactics which of course eliminated Hydroxichloroquine and Ivermectin. If the HCID label had remained in place ALL prophylactics deemed potentially viable would have had to have been available. In other words the sole purpose of the “vaccines” was to jab as many people as possible. Those running the Scamdemic knew full well that the jabs were not just useless but were intended to kill, maim and make infertile. That is all the Scamdemic was about. To be blunt – population reduction.

Yes. At the time I thought downgrading was because they knew it wasn’t particularly dangerous. But I agree, it was for a far more nefarious reason. It’s interesting, but not surprising, that NOT ONE “expert” interviewed at the Inquiry has mentioned the downgrading, but it’s still on the Gov website.

There was no excuse for not knowing, almost from the outset, that the Covid jabs were effectively useless … although I accept that knowing they were also dangerous took a little longer. The day Handcock announced them, I clearly recall Mike Graham on his TalkRadio show saying something along the lines of “so they don’t stop you getting Covid and they don’t stop you transmitting it ….. so pretty useless then.” I am not medically trained; I’m just someone who follows what is going on and QUESTIONS it. Years ago my history teacher told me the Kipling poem about the “Six Honest Serving Men” and said if I answered all the questions (what, why, when, how, where who) I would write a decent exam essay. I took it on board. So I spent a great deal of time listening to Mike Graham and J-HB on TalkRadio (who were the only mainstream journalists questioning the nonsense) and on the internet following up “leads.” By mid-Feb 2021 I had found out that the Israeli Government was reporting a significant rise in the incidence of myocarditis following the mRNA jabs – particularly in young men. I sent it to my 2 sons. And… Read more »

Another book that is important to read is ‘The Needle’s Secret’ by Marc Girardot. He argues that: (i) vaccines are meant to be injected into muscle tissue but that there is a significant risk they get injected into blood vessels; (2) that that can cause serious damage to the lining of blood vessels; (3) and therefore that the barrier between various organs in the body and the bloodstream becomes permeable – leading to a whole variety of harmful illnesses.

It is also clear that in the USA, for example, there has been a serious increase in various ilnesses over the last thirty five years or so, in parallel with the rise in the use of vaccines. Moreover there is a natural ‘control group’ in the USA – the Amish – who have not been taking vaccines and who have not experienced the increases in illnesses that other Americans have.

It could be even worse than that, given the use of the novel technique – mRNA. At any rate, it does not behave as promised by some enthusiasts, and does not stay where they promise that it would after injection.

GIrardot explores in detail what damage the mRNA vaccine does, which is disturbing to read. He recognises that some types of ‘vaccine’ are more damaging, but argues that they all can have similar harmful effects, because they all can trigger the immune system either to kill body cells transfected by the vaccine or, if those cells are stem cells, to alter them in a way that can trigger them to give rise to cancerous cells. Another thing to understand is that, because a significant amount of the vaccine has got into a blood vessel, it is quickly spread around the cardio-vascular system and the damage can be caused to the blood vessel linings and nearby tissues just about anywhere in the body.

The picture I’m getting is that Covid 19 was a serious infection, and politicians thought they had to “do something about it”. So they initiated lockdowns and mask mandates regardless of the good or harm it will cause, just to show they were “doing something”. Similarly, they needed a mechanism to stop the useless lockdowns and masks, and a vaccine was the answer, regardless of whether it worked. This was all to obtain bragging rights to the politicians initiatives being instrumental in overcoming the virus. If the politicians had done nothing other than tell people to apply some common sense, not initiated lockdowns, masks or vaccination programmes, the outcome from infections would at worst have been no different and possibly better. But the economy would not have been destroyed, societal damage avoided – and pharmaceutical companies would have been much poorer.

I have not read this book yet, but have started reading “Vaccines, Amen”, by Aaron Siri, which covers all vaccines. It is another sobering, sickening read, as it shows inter alia that the testing of vaccines before giving them to newborn babies is as little as five days to test for safety. No medical product apart from vaccines is exempt from litigation. I won’t elaborate, but I do recommend it. The whole vaccine industry is a monstrous money-making machine. Full stop.

I’ve come to see COVID as a tragic but inevitable repetition of history.

In moments of societal hysteria, the undeserving, mostly incompetent people in authority are prone to bad decisions and abuse of power, in a desperate attempt to appear competent and retain control. And the general population, overwhelmingly of a herd, slave-like mentality, do as they are told despite knowing deep down its madness.

This is how in WWI millions mindlessly send their children to be pointlessly killed.
Or in times of COVID millions gutlessly allow their children to be pointlessly maimed.

In the end, we pretty much get what we deserve.

What I have never seen discussed is how the NHS medics forced to take the experimental jabs or lose their jobs feel about the consequent information as to their harm.
Do they regret taking them and would not comply again? Did some of them spot the risk and ask colleagues to fake the paperwork and flush the stuff down the sink instead?
Can Prof Dalgleish even practise medicine in the NHS without having taking the jabs?

I had to cut loose about half a dozen friends and several family members because of the experimental genetic biotoxins. And with several more I have had to avoid any discussion. One of them, a dear friend from university 50 years ago who I also worked with had and continues to have all the injections and the flu vaccines of course. He (and his wife also fully injected who went down with shingles after the injections) have both had Covid several times and he somehow succumbed to several nasty afflictions including myocarditis and atrial fibrillation and low blood pressure. Of course the subject of mRNA vaccines cannot be broached with them. His stock response is to ask ”but why would they do that?” Which is a good question and I do not know the answer.

I will have to get the book. I had three doses of “vaccine”, the last only because I was blackmailed by a family member over their Christmas attendance, and still got COVID, so I was a sheep following the official line because I believed its proponents must know more than me. But well before that I had said repeatedly that all that was needed was to correctly treat those who got very sick from the Covid cytokine storm.

I will exonerate the non medical politicians whose credulousness is understandable but would prosecute the medics and scientists who advised them, not least as they knew the narrative was false. For me those who rightly fought the system should be honoured, compensated for their losses of employment etc just like the Post Office folk, and the honours accorded to the villains withdrawn.

Good comment. My wife and I had the first two AZ jabs (like the author of this review) before the penny dropped and I sometimes feel uncomfortable admitting this! But as someone above commented people go mad in crowds and recover their senses one by one. I fear our situation is comparable to those of dissidents under Communism who must have got frustrated with friends and family not seeing through the lies. But the truth does eventually come out. I do regularly pray for the truth tellers in our midst who take the risk of speaking out. Clare Craig is a great example. We’ve seen her in person at a few events in London and you can just tell she’s a lovely person.

Many have said sars covid 19 was the excuse to vaccinate billions with the mRNA covid gene therapies. We witness the demise of friends and family who have taken these dangerous vaccines. Neurological, cardiology and oncology injury everywhere. We are witnessing similar efficacy and safety issues with the current flu vaccines. And yet the NHS continues on its mission to vaccinate for flu and covid.

Are modern “scientists” really so innumerate that they could make such a dumb mistake as the “cheap trick”? It would seem to require only a simple adjustment to the exposure to risk I the denominator?

Gates invested £10billion in BioNTech, Pfizer, et al, 2 years before the pandemic, and cashed in a year or two later for $200 billion.

Cui Bono, hey?

How did Gates do it? Well, he had a spiritual mentor who showed him exactly what to do. Not for the first time in his monopolistic career, Gates – that flabby, geek-voiced hand-flapping pupa in part-human form – studied what John D Rockefeller did to denigrate and expunge the panoply of traditional medical remedies, and replace them with petroleum-derived pharmaceuticals.

How can such a thing possibly be done?

Well, it’s just a question of having enough money to buy up academe, buy up the political establishment, buy up the media. Throw millions in in bribes, and get everyone blackballed who murmurs a word of dissent. Get all the medical journals and encyclopaedias retrospectively censored, get all references to traditional medicines ‘memory-holed’.

The upfront bribery costs are immense, but the profits – twenty times, twenty times, cried Gates, when asked how much he’d made from his vaccine investments.
