Jordan Bardella: “I Will Stop the Boats”

Jordan Bardella, the President of France’s National Rally who currently has a runaway lead in the polls, has said he will work with Nigel Farage to stop the Channel boats, including by allowing pushbacks to France. The Telegraph has more.

Bardella blasts the current one-in, one-out migration swap system launched by Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron as a cosmetic sticking plaster.

“I think it’s a smokescreen and that the ship is leaking from all sides, and we’re putting tape over the holes.

“I’m in favour of a total overhaul,” he says, pledging instantly to enact a “referendum on immigration” to create a Denmark-style lockout system if he wins. That would require changing the constitution to repatriate all immigration and security power from Brussels to Paris.

Doing so would allow him to push for “the systematic expulsion of foreign offenders and criminals”.

“The right of asylum will be abolished. Asylum applications will be processed outside the country, namely in the embassies and consulates of the countries of departure, and there will be national priority,” he predicts.

That means that French citizens, without distinction, will have “priority access to social housing and social assistance”.

“Macron cannot resolve the issue because, fundamentally, he believes that France must remain a country of immigration. France is a European exception in that it continues to welcome hundreds of thousands of people every year, while Austria is suspending family reunification and Poland is rapidly reducing its intake. Germany is re-establishing controls.

“My ambition is to make France the least attractive country for mass immigration in Europe. And from there, if it is no longer possible to cross, then there will be no one left in Calais.”

What if third countries refuse to take back nationals?

“Meloni has managed it. She went to see state officials in departure countries, and in one year, the rate of illegal arrivals on the coast has fallen by 60%. So deterring migration can work.” …

Meanwhile, he will push Brussels, which he predicts will be increasingly led by various insurgent Right-wing groups to turn Europe’s border force, Frontex, into a “true coastguard, rather than playing immigration welcome hosts, and as a taxi service for NGOs, who pick up migrants and bring them back to European countries”.

That will “already resolve part of the migration issue for the United Kingdom”.

But in the meantime, he backs Franco-British patrols, but also, interestingly for a nationalist, pushbacks should migrants reach British shores.

“NGOs funded by public money go and pick up boats 20 kilometres off the Tunisian or Libyan coast and Frontex picks them up. I’m against this, so I have to be consistent with my principles. I can’t defend the notion of pushbacks and then refuse to allow Great Britain to do the same,” he says.

But he insists this won’t be an issue when he deals with the root problem and installs what he calls a “double border system” on French and EU frontiers.

What polls does he have a “runaway lead” in?

The French had their chance and the lefties and “moderates” (idiots) united to keep out the “far right”.

“What if third countries refuse to take back nationals?”

The answer is easy and effective: Instantly STOP all foreign aid to those countries, all visas, asylum claims and immigration from those countries, recall our Ambassadors, shut down our embassies and kick out theirs. No diplomatic discussions, no student visas, deals or prisoner swaps… just STOP.

And once Foreign Aid and Immigration has been STOPPED, there will be a Five-Year Waiting Period before those countries can re-open their embassies here, or even ask for visas and foreign aid to resume.

We don’t need them.
They need us.

I have an easier solution ——All who arrive uninvited to receive NOTHING. No food, no accommodation, no money —-NOTHING. —–Tomorrow none will come.

It has been clear for many years that the French have had no interest in stopping the boats – they want the immigrants out of the country and this is the best way to ger rid of them. They have been taking hundreds of millions of pounds from us under false pretences and laughing at us in our faces. The people of Calais and the nearby towns are fed up with the hordes roaming their streets and parks and creating shanty towns near the beaches. My opinion is that if the French authorities had cooperated with the UK years ago and stopped the boats leaving France then the immigrants would have stopped heading for the French coast because it would have been a pointless exercise. The EU countries (and the UK) with all their resources should have agreed to form – and fund – a combined coastal security unit to operate from Spain to Greece and halt the immigration at source before anyone could land on European soil. If countries such as Libya and Algeria would allow it, then immigration offices could be established on their soil to examine the claims of those who seek asylum and any such genuine… Read more »

Stopping the boats is one thing, but stopping the legal immigration routes is possibly even more urgent.
