COP30 is the Biggest Flop So Far
Ed Miliband is back from the COP meeting Brazil. Though now even the most committed green fake journalists are openly citing the meeting as a failure, and even questioning the viability of the COP process, Miliband is adamant that “for all its flaws, COP has reaffirmed the belief of the vast majority of the world in this ideal”. But that is obviously false. If the “vast majority of the world” really had such a conviction, then there would be no need of the COP process at all, and certainly not 30 of them. What lies beneath Miliband’s statement in the Guardian this week, in which he claims he has snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, is a need to hang the UK’s agenda on an international process.
The Secretary of State for Net Zero and Energy Security’s understanding of green politics is at best upside down. “We went to COP because working with other countries to tackle the climate crisis is the only way to protect our home and way of life,” he claims. False. Since the reformulation of Malthusian ‘population bomb’ economics in the 1960s took shape as the UN’s green agenda in the 1970s, its advocates have demanded radical changes to ‘our way of life’ and used the prospect of ecological crises to make the urgent case for them. Of course, the various doomsdays predicted by those neo-Malthusians all passed without event, despite the confidence their prophets evinced in seemingly unimpeachable simulations of industrial society’s interactions with the world’s natural processes.

Profanity and abuse will be removed and may lead to a permanent ban.
Green Nazis, chasing money, power and totalitarianism. Censorship and lockdowns will be their only recourse.
As anti-science, anti-reality as it gets. Non-green, corrupt, evil. Proving yet again that the Devil is a busy spirit.
Nota bene on the graph the dip in human emissions in 2020 – equivalent to Germany and Japan going net zero. Yet in the measured data at the Mauna Loa Observatory CO2 increased during 2020 at a slightly steeper rate than it did in either 2019 or 2021.
We make no difference folks.
No dip either after the economic downturn post-2008 financial crisis when industrial output fell, but that is real data from observation and no match for computer modelling which is “The Science”.
Miliband will cling forever to the climate change lifeboat. It is a tragedy for UK citizens that we have a Political Class hell bent on pretending to save the planet harder and faster than every other country, and we are paying a terrible price. We have the highest electricity prices in the world, cannot compete as a result in global markets, our Industrial Base is collapsing and wealth creators are driven out, and all for WHAT? ——All so we can be ideologically aligned with the UN/WEF and its Sustainable Development that pretend to be about the planet but is actually eco socialism that seeks to control all of the worlds wealth, resources and YOU.
By controlling us, do you mean engineering a reduction in the world’s population, through poverty, its attendant hunger and disease, and toxic injections on top?
I am more than alarmed by speculation that Miliband could be in line to inherit Starmer’s job if the fallout from the budget and other governmental failings turns out to be more than he can handle.
Are we surprised?
Milliband should be compared with Colonel Nicholson (played by Alec Guinness in the Bridge over the River Qwai) who was determined to show how well the British could do in adversity only to realise his folly at the last minute saying, as he fell on the plunger to blow up the bridge, “Oh my God, what have I done”? But will Milliplonker eventually do the same? Don’t hold your breath!
You could follow this with the final two words of the film – ‘Madness, madness.’
Bottom line of all this COP flannel is this: CO2 level currently 420 ppm. Ideal level for optimal plant growth 1,000-1,200ppm. Plant growth restricted at below 400ppm. 180ppm plants die off. Maximum vegetation growth during the Carboniferous period, 1,500ppm. Nuff said. Get a proper job Miliband.
Plants don’t just grow themselves, y know! They need Milibands brandishing trowels!
Regret he is not capable of either acquiring or holding down a proper job; which is probably the main reason he clings to his position as a politician. He is an unemployable Cultist. Mad and Bad.
It would be interesting to correlate economic growth with some measure of Net Zero compliance. Gut feeling is that countries such as India and China that are lukewarm at best to cutting carbon emissions are growing faster than countries such as ULK and EU that are going full throttle. And the USA Granth seems to have picked up since Trump has started drilling.
You do not have to look too hard as people’s income post tax is down across the EU and in the UK as well as Net Zero pushes costs up for everyone.
What a joy for the UK it would have been if Mad Ed and Kneel had gone for a walk in the Amazonian jungle and been eaten by a giant Boa Constrictor.
I’d watch that movie…..
Or would it be a documentary? Or a TV reality show?
A bush tucker trial for the constrictor – can it stomach eating Two Tier of MiliTwat?
“Miliband’s claim that “more than 190 countries came together in the rainforest of the Amazon and reaffirmed their faith in multilateralism,”. After flying there long haul in wide bodied jets and then making their way along a purpose built road hacked out of the Amazonian rain forest. Deluded or hypocritical, it doesn’t matter.
Dear (i.e. expensive) Ed Miliband is suffering from a modern malaise. The electorate, by and large, no longer accept the unquestionable authority of politicians. Probably any politicians.
Meanwhile Dear Ed ignores this social change and presses ahead with his assertions expecting them to magically have an effect.
A dunce, in other words. Wish he could stand in the corner.
Obviously many journalists and ‘climate scientists’ are supporters of this nonsense because it pays them, but presumably the true believers are akin to members of a millenarial cult, who follow a messiah to the top of a hill because he has told them that Noah’s flood is going to recur. Of course such people never see the flood not happening as evidence that their messiah was a phoney, only that he got his prediction a little wrong. A new doomsday is immediately substituted for the failed one. I wonder if Miliband sees himself as a messiah or only a disciple?
This syndrome was supebly and succinctly explained in a blog back in May 2020 :

Read and weep for us all.
Our next Prime Minister 😱 is of the view the meeting was a huge success in no small part due to his presence and leadership, and all that is needed in true Covidian fashion, is more of the same, harder, and £billions extra.
Nurse, quick, pass the anti-depressants.
How does this fantasist knob jockey keep his job?
He’s the useful idiot, with just enough intelligence to assimilate and spout all this rubbish, but not enough to understand its true implications. Hel also has the advantage of lacking self-awareness or the capacity for self-criticism.
What everybody appears to be missing is that, in my opinion, Milliband is pushing net zero DELIBERATELY as part of the governments alleged policy to destroy the economy of the UK. In this they are fully supported by the Conservative, Lib Dem, and Green Parties. This joint policy has been in action now for over 60 years and is proven by their joint support for the UK’s membership of the EU. Now that we have (theoretically) voted to leave the EU net zero is the main method for achieving their aims. There is absolutely no doubt that Milliband is wrecking the UK economy. As part of this process they are dangerously exposing the safety of the UK. Current annual human emissions of CO2 are estimated to only add 160 millionths of 1 deg C to world temperature. The UK’s contribution is only 1% of that or 1.6millionths of 1 deg C. Port Talbots emission s amounted to 1.8% of the UK’s total. So, Port Talbot steelworks, a strategically vital and essential defence industry has been scrapped for the sake of about 3 hundreths of 1 millionth of 1 deg C. But the Reform Party was the only party that complained… Read more »
Whether you agree with this policy or not, It does seem that people like Milliband have caused deindustrialisation and handed power (pun intended) to countries that will not curb emissions, in one action they have given away the power to curb CO2 emissions to countries that won’t!
So as Europe becomes poorer and other countries become richer by the whole process the policy will, and is, making matters worse. No wonder he is dubbed Millibrain. The sad thing is he will probably be knighted for impoverishing us all., perhaps he should be called Sir Millibrain of COP.
If only we could get articles such as this published in the MSM.
Something strange has happened. The comments are included on the end of this, but there are also huge quote marks and a back arrow. Any ideas anyone?
