Thousands of Pakistanis Using Visa Loopholes for Asylum Claims
According to newly revealed figures, people from Pakistan are slipping into the UK via holiday, work and student visa “loopholes” and filing a record number of asylum claims. The Mail has the story.
Almost 10,000 people from Pakistan have entered the UK with work, student or temporary visitor visas before switching to claim asylum in a bid for permanent residency last year, Government data suggests.
The country also tops the list for asylum applications, with 11,324 made from Pakistani nationals in the year to June.
People from the South Asian nation account for one in ten of all 111,000 asylum applications – topping the list of all 175 countries from which migrants seek refuge status. It is also the highest number since records first began.
Asylum applications from Pakistan are also five times higher since 2022, having increased from 2,154 to over 11,000 – beating out Afghanistan, Iran and Eritrea.
In the last year, 40,379 migrants claimed asylum after arriving on British shores using legitimate visas or by being granted other forms of leave to come into the UK.
According to data obtained by the Conservatives through Freedom Of Information requests, more than 16,000 individuals arrived on student visas and about 11,400 on skilled worker equivalents.
Meanwhile, more than 9,400 entered the country on visitor visas, meaning around 37% of asylum applications submitted in 2024 came from individuals who had arrived in the UK via legal routes.
And the only nationality to land in the top three for work, visitor, student and other visa routes into the UK before switching to asylum was Pakistan.
People from Pakistan represented nearly a quarter of switches from visa to asylum claims in 2024.
The nationality topped the list for those who switched from a student visa to asylum, with a total of 5,888 claims.
The total was more than both India and Bangladesh combined, which came in second and third place with 2,295 and 2,374 claims, respectively.
Among those who switched from visitor visas to seeking asylum, Pakistan placed second with 902 claims. First was China, which had 1,094 nationals make switches.
Meanwhile, Pakistan also came in second place with individuals who switched their work visas to asylum, with 2,578 claims. Bangladesh topped the list with 3,268.

How the F are they claiming ‘asylum’ from Pakistan? It’s not war torn or being destroyed by a super volcano.
You could almost imagine this might have something to do with the 700 strong Muslim cabal we have embedded in the civil service now but it couldn’t possibly be that. It’s racist to have even thought about thinking it.
Christians and other minorities in Pakistan are persecuted, with many charged under the notorious blasphemy laws (soon to come to the UK, courtesy of the CPS?) often with false charges brought through neighbourly disputes. Many end up on “death row”.
For most, persecution is less severe, but restricts access to education and better paid work. Female children are abducted from their parental homes and forcibly “married” into becoming sex-slaves of much older men.
There is a case for escaping persecution and being granted asylum – but the UK makes it very difficult, given that immigration is staffed by Islamists, or those more sympathetic to Islam. See, for example, the case of Asia Bibi, falsely accused and sentenced to death – the UK was unable to offer her sanctuary or protection for fear of upsetting the Muslims (and that was during a Conservative administration).
For a time, Pakistan was the largest recipient of UK foreign aid (it remains among the highest).
But most Christians in Pakistan are from the LOWEST SLAVE CASTE, and cannot afford to travel abroad, much less on a visitor’s or student visa to Britain. As one international charity said,
“Every brick in Pakistan is made by a Christian Slave.”
It’s the Pakistani MUSLIMS who are making these false asylum claims, as there is NO DANGER AT ALL to them in their own Muslim country of Pakistan. That’s why they all keep going back there on holiday…
The other import, part and parcel of the Pakistani Sunni tradition, is something called “Folk Islam”. It’s not something you’ll find much about on the Web, but well-known and widely practiced within the community.
Folk Islam is a mixture of Islamic beliefs and practices with traditional ritual black magic. On the one hand the British Pakistani Muslim community seeks to make headway in local and national politics and civil administration, the legal profession and the NHS, on the other it uses practitioners of the dark arts to curse those who stand in it’s way – if the first resort of violence is denied. Targets are those who might leave the community for religious conversion, seek “free” marriage, or those outside the community who might be seen as opponents – legal or land disputes, or from other religions.
The community employs witch-doctors to put curses on those it seeks to harm – the intention being murder (primarily), but also disruption to health of them and often family members.
How extraordinary! Thank you for that shocking bit of information about “Folk Islam”, which I’d never heard before. I thought it was only Ethnic Africans who were partial to a bit of witchcraft and ritual human sacrifice to get what they want, here in the West and in Africa.
If the Pakistani Sunni Muslims are practicing that, I wonder if it is also prevalent among all Sunnis, and also among Shiites and the Ismaili Assassin Cult. I’d read about the Sufi Muslim Whirling Dervishes worshipping the Moon, but didn’t link it with witchcraft, which I should have done, considering the new information you have provided.
Not just Pakistani Sunnis, many Muslim groups have witch-doctors – right across Africa for example. However as the dominant Islamic “culture” in the UK, it is most prevalent here among the Pakistani Sunnis.
As Islam is a territorial religion, look out for those using folk magic to extend its range in this country – they masquerade as crazies, mutterers and imbeciles to appear innocuous, but what they aim to do is more sinister.

Yes Pakistan is a basket case but as long as you pledge allegiance to Allah you’re largely fine. These are Muslims not Christians. That’s just what they claim to make cake brained posturing imbeciles like the Arch Bishop of Canterbury pour water over their heads and get them a UK passport and social housing.
They can’t even recite the names of the disciples. Mind you neither can I but I’m not trying to cheat the migration system. I take virtually nothing out of the system and I’m about to pay an obscene tax bill that is mostly going to be torched on supporting almost a million more people a year flooding the country I was born in.

I am not sure where infowars lies on the political spectrum but a major problem for German cities is that they rely on sales tax and tax income from businesses. Sales are down so the tax is too as the people are made poorer by high energy costs and the highest unemployment for 15 years. Companies are closing down completely or moving away from Germany which reduces their tax paid to the cities. I would suggest the immigrants are not the main cause but it certainly is not going to help.
So much to unpick here. Firstly, no one crossing the channel on a rubber boat should be getting considered for asylum, particularly if they have already applied for and been refused in another European country. Secondly, we really need to tighten up on who is in fear of persecution in there home country. A state of war or internal conflict is no grounds for fleeing your country, you should pick a side and defend your belief and family. If your country is peaceful, then you don’t need asylum. Now we come to the difficult bit. If you are genuinely being targeted, as an individual, with no support groups in your homeland – a Christian in Iran, a democratic campaigner in China or North Korea, then you probably have grounds for asylum. The way you get from there to here is probably by applying for a work, study or tourist visa, so we can’t on the one hand reject the boat crossers, saying they should come by regular means and then also reject those who arrive by the regular means. If you arrive from France or Belgium then you have arrived from a safe country and should be sent straight to the detention centre in the Falklands where you remain until another country will take you or you f*ck off back home.

I always find it surreal to think that the following countries were ever Christian. Where countries are majority Christian, we don’t see the minority faiths, such as those who follow Islam, Judaism, Hinduism etc, being persecuted or treated as inferior.
