Ben & Jerry’s Needs to Butt Out of UK Democracy

Last week, Ben & Jerry’s, the American ice-cream company, set up an exhibition in Shoreditch titled ‘The No Escape Room‘.

Created by Conversation Over Borders, the installation was designed to show visitors “the reality of asylum accommodation”, and featured broken radiators, fake mould and cramped conditions:

For a fist full of roubles

The penultimate picture appears to show a lot of backward people. Very appropriate.

Braindead.

Looking like a simpleton is not a great look.

It is clearly party political campaigning on highly contentious issues. The Electioral Commission should require it to register but it won’t because it is promoting unlimited immigration and further tax payer spending on them.

No wonder Unilever is in the process of trying to offload Far Left Ben & Jerrys now they have abandoned their wokism.

Alienating around half of your potential market seems an odd strategy, they must have seen what happened to Bud and Gillette.

Not just gone woke though, B&J have chosen a side in politics.

If they are just left with the youth on the left that will impact their business model, shame if they were to go broke and disappear off the high street.

Corporations, particularly foreign ones, should not be in the business of political influence.

Ben and Jerrys have been a total pain in the arse to the Unilever marketing team ever since they acquired them – it’s nowt new. Things have gone seriously off piste this last few years though! It’s a marketing case study playing out in real time!

Mete Coban is the 30 ish son of a Turkish cab driver who was given the MBE by Sadiques pal King Bonkers III for his work with young people in London. Apparently this invoicing the fist.

As the government has banned second cups of Mocha coffees in Spoons because it has too many calories, it seems odd that Ben and Jerry’s isn’t banned. My wife bought a tub ait was so sweet that I binned it.

Ben & Jerry’s had been on my ‘Woke to Avoid’ list for a long time. It was one of the first entries. They get not a penny from me.

The march of The Left continues…

Yeah but who is in charge of woketastic Ben & Jerry’s? After all, ”white, liberal women falsely manufactured” and drive this particular ideology, according to NeilParkin, Tonka Rigger et al, and men at the helm are seemingly absolved of all responsibility, ( it’ll be them woke biatches in HR that wear the pants, obv ) according to the general consensus of the DS Boys’ Club. Well, sorry not sorry to say your oh so confident assertions are refuted yet again. Not sure how much more evidence it’ll take for yous to accept the reality, but there you go, denialism is a thing.😏 Mr Senf is a man, as were the previous CEOs: Matthew McCarthy and Dave Stever. 🤫 ”Jochanan Senf gets to live every child’s dream. He is the CEO of an ice cream company. And not just any ice cream company, but one that has dedicated itself to defending justice and using the power of business to fight for equity and equality. Jochanan is the CEO of Ben & Jerry’s. Jochanan always wanted to be a leader. From his early days exemplified by his interest in progressive politics and his various roles as a Student Leader in University.”  https://www.benjerry.com/about-us/how-were-structured… Read more »

I’m touched that you remembered my posts, Mogwai. Misinterpreted, and misrepresented them a bit, but flattering nonetheless.

This not you, then? Which part of you blaming woke on white women did I misinterpret/misrepresent?

“In this political climate, falsely manufactured by me and my friends, as a white woman, the ones who have largely driven this woke DEI nonsense, I want to give you an opportunity to apologize,…”

Well you never got back to me with any supporting evidence for your assertion, because you never do. You nor anyone else, come to that. It’s just a case of ‘blame women ad nauseam’, and men shall remain unaccountable for their undeniable role and responsibility in pushing this agenda for ever more. I suggest you take your head out of the sand and start acknowledging the evidence which contradicts your obvious bias.
Both men AND women are jointly responsible for manufacturing and pushing the woke mind virus, DEI, whatever spin-off thereof. Prove me wrong.

One can certainly argue that US corporations shouldn’t be allowed to abuse the traction of their brand names for political marketing in Europe but for as long as this isn’t outright illegal, there’s no reason singling out Ben & Jerry’s for doing what all the others do as well.

Agreed, you could argue that Elon Musk’s interventions have been just as egregious, and certainly more consequential and Thank God he did!

I am fairly certain that Jerry Garcia would have cut his ties with Ben & Jerry’s as soon as it became obvious that they were so pathetic. He was against the Grateful Dead being partisan politically. A shame that the GD have not stopped them using the “Cherry Garcia” label.

What a stupid marketing ploy, since when have manufacturers(of overpriced ice cream) thought that it would be a good idea to promote immigration, they will surely go bust soon,.

They have already done that as a result of their “right on” politics.

Boycott their ice cream, which isn’t hard.

Ben & Jerrys originally went bust because they decided that they had to have a black CEO.

They made decent ice cream once upon a time, but I won’t buy it.
