Green Party’s Zack Polanski Wears a White Poppy as He Overlooks Remembrance Sunday Ceremony at The Cenotaph

Green Party leader Zack Polanski wore both white and red poppies at the National Service of Remembrance at The Cenotaph today. GB News has more.

The white poppy is often worn by some who consider the traditional red poppy as glorifying war and conflict …

Previously, Mr Polanski said he believed “we can have a world without war” ahead of the National Service of Remembrance and that the white poppy came “mainly from women’s groups who were talking about peace and anti-fascism” after the First World War.

He stressed it symbolises: “looking ahead to the future and saying, we want a world of peace.” …

Regarding his broader thoughts on defence, Mr Polanski has said he wants to see every country de-nuclearise, including Russia.

“These are really serious issues, and at the same time, I believe we should never leave the negotiating table, and part of that is showing both the moral and courageous leadership to come on TV and say to you – even though this might be a position that’s ridiculed – I don’t think we should find peace and diplomacy ridiculous.

“I think actually the most brave and courageous and authentic thing to do is say, ‘I believe we can have a world without war’.”

Worth reading in full.

“I believe we can have a world without war’.”🤦🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️
What a virtue signalling numpty. What idealist nonsense. You’ll never have a world without war and there’ll never be world peace as long as humans inhabit the planet. Fact.
Nobody decent and sane wants or likes war, but it’s inevitable as long as mankind exists.
And I’ve never seen a white poppy in my life, either, so there’s a novelty.🧐

Peace has been theoretically proven to be economically unsustainable. However hard to swallow that might be.

The only way to stop war is to get rid of armaments manufacturers and the bankers who fund them. And if we all said NO sorry mate not fighting (on all sides). Until all those three things happen unfortunately there will always be wars. Good luck!!!

Helmut v. Moltke the elder is on record for stating that:

A world without war is a dream and not a pretty one because it’s only war which brings out all the virtues of men like courage, willingness to sacrifice oneself and to fullfill one’s duty.
[My paraphrase from memory]

But this obviously referred to the traditional European idea of war which is soldiers fighting against other soldiers and not the 20th century bastardized version of destroy everything you can and kill everyone you can manage to kill.

In order to have no more wars you would have to render von Clausewitz null and void so good luck with that.

Funny how all the failed comedians and entertainers get to the top in political parties.
I think he’s trying to outdo Zelinsky and Trump.
trouble is, he has an oil slick personality; which seems to be the requirement from the public from politicians nowadays.
its all about who can make people feel good and virtuous, even if they do destroy everything in the process.

Trump with the Abraham Accords, and Gaza, has done more for Middle East peace than any other leader. The blessed Obama, for example, destroyed Libya and Syria, and Bush Iraq.

Trump in 2016 also helped ordinary working people to raise their living standards. Biden then put that into reverse.

Trump Derangement Syndrome pure and simple. You might as well say “I’m not very bright, but I am a bigot”

Style over substance, has been the case since Thatcher in UK.

Except of course Brown, May and Starmer have neither, and a few others possibly as well.

That’s all good but what do we do if a country or group of countries become belligerent towards ourselves? It is odd that it is always the left that are anti war and in particular they are anti the military of the West. What is also odd is the left also wish for the violent over throw of the West. Compare military displays in the West, such as Remembrance day or VE day, to those in the following countries: Russia, China, Cuba, Belarus, North Korea, Vietnam, Iran, Mongolia and Laos (see below). Not only are these military displays overt demonstrations of military power but the goose step seems to be popular.

I was shocked by the ANZAC day parade in Brisbane. If my Australian colleagues had mentioned it to me I would have been there for the start.

It’s like when these types spout tripe like “Make poverty history”. OK, so you’ll need to make wealth history, too. Good luck with that.

The Green Party are extreme Socialists. They are cuirrently useful in splitting the left wing vote. We should all be focussing now on how TPTB will PREVENT Reform from winning power. We’ve already witnessed the delay of Council elections, the extension of mayoralties which nobody wants; next up will they review the FPTP system and look at PR? Or inflitrate Reform and poison it from within?

Have no illusions, destroying Reform will be the priority

He says the White Poppy came “mainly from women’s groups who were talking about peace and anti-fascism” after the First World War.”.

The Red Poppy is part of our culture mainly because of The efforts of 2 women – American Moina Micheal and French Anne Guerin after they read the poem “In Flanders Fields” published in Punch. So we can thank women for that …you virtue signalling pillock.

I’m not so sure about that. Nuclear weapons aren’t really good for anything except mass murder of civilians and mass destruction of civil infrastucture. They ceased to be useful for anything the moment the original American idea that only the USA had nuclear weapons and hence, everybody would be forced to do its bidding, ceased to be a reality, ie, in the 1950s. I think some sort of world conference where an agreement would be reached that we now uninvent¹ this shit because it’s of no use whatsoever would be a very grown-up way to admit one’s past mistakes instead of digging oneself into an ever deeper hole.

¹ The ban on nuke testing already amounts to that, anyway. Who can say how many of these supposed bombs would ever actually explode when the mechanism was never really tried?

“I think actually the most brave and courageous and authentic thing to do is say, ‘I believe we can have a world without war’.”

Code language for: I believe a benevolent dictatorial UN world government is both possible and desirable. The only way to have a world without war is to have a world without different states whose populations could end up being at loggerheads with each other.

I’d rather not live in a world where the Zack Polanski’s are in control of everything even if that would be a world without war for as long as Zack doesn’t go to war against Polanski because of internal differences about how “world dictatorship” really ought to work.

Classic leftism: the determination not to see the world as it actually is, is the guiding, underlying principle. Easy to visualise for people of low IQ; comforting to the majority who want nothing but comfort; easily manipulated by politicians and associated chancers.
