Bill Gates’s Climate U-Turn: Real Epiphany or Expedient Pivot?

The climate alarmist establishment is in veritable disarray, as one of its most influential patrons appears to have defected from the faith. Last week, billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates wrote a long missive from his digital pulpit GatesNotes, titled ‘Three tough truths about climate: What I want everyone at COP30 to know‘.

What upset devotees of the Church of Climate was Gates conceding that climate change will not cause humanity’s extinction:

Gates can make more money from his nuclear investments by selling to power AI than from environmentalism never mind his AI investments.

If you need to ‘service’ the new AI industry which currently demands far more energy than renewables are likely to provide you will want to provide huge baseload electrical supply. Nuclear power will be able to do this eventually but for now fossil fuels are required, with no climate activists making life difficult.

The alternative would be for Gates (and other climate activists) to ‘deny’ AI, and that would never do.

Perhaps AI and fossil ‘now’ is a better deal than turning off the lights and heating ‘early’?

Nuclear power will be able to do this eventually…”

At what cost. Everybody keeps talking about nuclear in tte same way the zealots talk about windmills and sunbeam collectors – free energy – concentrating only on consumables and not the huge capital input that needs a high price to render an acceptable return… aka profit.

The UK Government has agreed to a guaranteed, inflation-linked, lifetime, wholesale price of £128 per MWh to the Hinckley Point C consortium which is about twice the cost of gas.

A Nuclear Plant will last 60 years though. The world needs energy and it cannot come from wind and sun. It cannot provide base load, and the battery technology that it would require at grid level to be practical is very unlikely to be available, and if it t was the cost would be prohibitive.
Coal Gas and Nuclear will be what gets used, and only silly countries in the wealthy west all taking their instructions from the UN/WEF will keep building wind and sun till they are blue in the face and costing astronomical sums of money, forcing their populations into energy poverty, and destroying their Industrial Base. At least Nuclear does what it says on the tin, and once you subtract all the infrastructure costs, thousands of new pylons, and all the restraint payments and assorted clutter, Nuclear is value for money in the end. Plus it should keep the planet savers happy as there are no CO2 emissions that they all worry about so much.

Bill Gates’s Climate U-Turn: Real Epiphany or Expedient Pivot?

No one who claims to believe in the threat of man-made climate change acts as if they actually believe it. None of them. None of them adjust anything about their lives nor do they have any intention of doing so. Any adjustment they may claim to make are things they want to do anyway. Like be vegetarian or ride a bike to work.

Bit like Mr H Ford screaming how everyone else should do this and that change to their lifestyle to “save the planet” from the gangway of his private jet…..

The IPCC itself said earlier this year that the worst case scenarios from their climate models are very unlikely to occur. So what Gates is now saying is only in line with what the main body that makes reports that influence pubic policy across the world say.
How many people know this? I suggest not many, because of the mainstream media always controlling the narrative, and making sure they do not report on stuff that interferes with the eco socialism that is masquerading as science.

I know that we definitely can’t wait the same amount of time for him to “have an epiphany” about “vaccines”.

I find the statistics about the DTP vaccine being given to African children particularly disturbing. How is this allowed to continue? Not good enough for white American children, but OK for black babies? That must rank at the top of the scale for racist abuse.

What the Vaccine crowd have been getting away with, is a crime against humanity.

Whenever I see Gates’ smiling face and benevolent mouthings, I am reminded of the lines from Hamlet:

“O villain, villain, smiling damned villain!
My tables! Meet it is I set it down
That one may smile, and smile, and be a villain.l

Is Gates saying climatism isn’t a problem OR it is a problem but he’s now pushing another swathe of power grabbing scare issues which are ‘worse’?
Leopard doesn’t change its spots.
He’s WEF.

Thanks to Donald Trump.

Gates has seen the way the wind blows, and being a man of such strong conviction has bent with it, rather than into it.

Gates can see which way the US is going and has an awfull lot to hide, with his involvement with the WEF crowd,,,plus his links to Epstein….and he is more than likely a Malthusian at heart….stopping his menace , will do nothing but good for mankind.

Very good article.

Er not they don’t just get rid of the bloody things. You only put that in there to make sure the DS wasn’t lambasted by Tobe’s mates.

Is he getting his sainthood in order before it all comes out about him and Epstein’s Island?
His ex-wife had much to say about it and some believe it was the reason for the divorce.
