J.K. Rowling Leads Backlash Against Glamour Magazine After Nine Male Trans Activists are Named “Women of the Year”
J.K. Rowling has accused Glamour Magazine of “telling girls that men are better women than they are” after the publication named nine male trans activists its “Women of the Year”, including one who called the Suffragettes “white supremacists”. The Mail has the story.
The Harry Potter author, 60, who has been outspoken against transgender rights, took to social media to complain about the event, billed to celebrate “the world’s most extraordinary women — trailblazers, rule breakers, visionaries, and champions”.
Sharing a picture of the nine women, Ms Rowling wrote: “I grew up in an era when mainstream women’s magazines told girls they needed to be thinner and prettier.
“Now mainstream women’s magazines tell girls that men are better women than they are.”
The honourees include Munroe Bergdorf, a controversial activist who once branded “all white people racist” and said that the Suffragettes were “white supremacists”.
Last year he was named the first “UK champion” for UN Women UK and was previously the first ever trans ‘woman’ to model for L’Oreal.
However, he was fired by the beauty giant in 2017 for his inflammatory remarks on race.
The activist, who is also a broadcaster and contributing editor at British Vogue, faced a backlash over his online post responding to the violence of white supremacists in Charlottesville, in which he said all white people were racist.
He was also forced to apologise after old social media messages emerged in which he labelled a Twitter follower a “hairy barren lesbian” in 2012 and said he wanted to “gay bash” a TV star.

I think it’s heartbreaking when you see the people that have come to the realization themselves that ‘transing’ to the ‘opposite sex’, so to speak, does not bring the relief or resolve the mental health problems that they were obviously suffering from. Then they have to embark on this arduous journey of detransitioning, and often will never be able to get back what they’ve lost.
Big respect to these people for being so candid and courageous when they share their experiences on social media, though;

How appropriate.
I cannot be the only one who thinks the western world is going insane and am glad that I am in the latter part of my life. I fear for those who are parents of school age children and what their futures hold.
One can try and see this in a positive way. The loonies are.going to make themselves extinct. If you can manage to bring up a normal, sane child he or she is going to be well ahead.of the game and thriving.
And well-employed in one way or another in the corrective plastic surgery industry…
I suppose this is when people turn to good otherworldly beings for help… when the only explanation appears to be that their fellows are in the grip of bad otherworldly beings.
As trans activists are so keen on name calling, let’s give them a name that fits them well.

I don’t know, I think some can be very convincing. The one at the front looks quite feminine, though I think it’s easier to ‘feminize’ East Asians, generally. However, if this is the cover of a magazine then airbrushing is the norm for anybody so I bet up close, in the flesh, or if you see them first thing in the morning before they put their slap on and do their hair ( plus the size of feet and hands can be a give away ) they look more obviously like what they are: men identifying as transgender.
I actually think the FtM people, especially when they go and get all jacked up at the gym to look uber masculine, look very convincing and I’d totally not give them a second look and just assume they’re blokes. Probably got tiny hands and feet, though, that’s the thing….
Whatever the background to Glamour’s “Women of the Year” it’s just another version of an award ceremony. Most award ceremonies, in my opinion, are not true celebrations but have become industry PR exercises.
Who now gets excited about the Oscars, or Miss World, the BAFTAs etc? Mostly only those within the industry or the media desperate for column inches or pixels. Even the Nobel Prizes or the Olympic Games have become ho hum events.
There’s perhaps some social pressure to downplay excellence…

Looking after children, elderly relatives, poorly neighbours and friends plus all that goes with other people needing help

This “magazine” should be closed, it is obviously deliberately promoting hatred, be that of women or confused young people, you can claim to be whatever you choose, but born male/female, that is what you will always be, time to stop all this attention seeking pathetic behaviour.
