Britain “No Longer Believes in Free Speech for Christians”
Christians in Britain do not enjoy free speech, according to Felix Ngole, a social worker who is appealing a court ruling that found he was not discriminated against when he missed out on a job because of his traditional Christian views on LGBT issues. The Telegraph has the story.
Felix Ngole, 47, applied to be a mental health support worker with Touchstone Leeds, based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire in 2022, and was offered the role. However, the offer was withdrawn after the charity’s management found reports on a case Mr Ngole won against Sheffield University in 2019.
He had challenged the university’s decision to prevent him from completing his social work degree after it became aware of a Facebook row in which he said homosexuality and same-sex marriage were sins.
An employment tribunal in Leeds ruled that Touchstone Leeds’ decision to rescind the job offer was justified, because of concerns about reputational damage and the mental health impact on service users who might discover his beliefs online.
On Wednesday, Mr Ngole appeared at the Employment Appeal Tribunal in London to challenge the ruling.
Speaking ahead of his appeal hearing, he said: “The ruling ultimately sets a dangerous precedent as it gives employers the freedom to block Christians, and anyone who doesn’t promote LGBTQI+ ideology, from employment.
“If we get to the point where if you don’t celebrate and support LGBT ideology you can’t have a job, then every Christian out there doesn’t have a future. You can study as much as you like, but you will not have a chance.
“The UK is no longer the country I heard about all those years ago when fleeing Cameroon. The UK then was a bastion of free speech and expression.”

Let me see now. Do Muslims think homosexuality is a sin? Should be an interesting appeal ruling.
The Home Secretary should be required to confirm her approval of same-sex relationships and her support for LGBT rights. Her answer will surely be prompt and unequivocally affirmative.
They do, but – as you have probably noticed – for Muslims different rules apply.
They get upset quite easily and then heads can roll. Literally. And we don’t want that, do we?
My very thought. Had this person been a Muslim and said he couldn’t agree with this nonsense, would he have been dismissed?
No! Part of his culture!
The good man is right. All out assault on Christianity. None of the endless onion layers of laws around ‘speech’ apply to those who insult and blapheme Christians. The lunacy of ‘rights’ and ‘hate speech’ is uni-directional and targets any, especially Christians, who dont bend the knee to Sodom, Gomorrah, Muhammad’s cult and the cults of ‘diversity’, which unsurprisingly, have nothing to do with real diversity. .
In other words, it’s essential for the mental well-being of LGBTQ+ clients not to be “impacted” by traditional Christian beliefs, whereas Christian clients can be impacted by LGBTQ+ beliefs until the cows come home.
And from the Touchstone Mental Health Support worker job description…
“…to be committed to and promote the organisation’s equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory policies.”
All religions are equal but some religions are more equal than others.
Hmmm….so not an Englishman….and why not get a proper job.
Free speech died the day Lucy Connelly went to prison for venting her frustration online! We are no longer allowed to express opinions that go against the official narrative and with the introduction of AI. Digital currency and digital ID it is about the get a whole lot worse. And as I often point out, when I was growing up homosexuality was illegal, now it’s practically compulsory! Christian values I’m afraid are no longer at the heart of society. Good luck grandchildren!
