“If Lord of the Rings is ‘racist’, answer me this”
Brilliant!
“The term ‘businessman’ is offensive”
Meanwhile my female colleagues at every level of our firm are busy working on providing goods and services that our clients need and making money. They have been doing that in all of the nearly four decades I’ve been with the firm.
Exactly – they are ‘businesswomen’ – I.e. women in business…
The banning of away fans attending the Aston Villa match next month was based on “current intelligence and previous incidents, including violent clashes and hate crime offences that occurred during the 2024 Europa League match between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv in Amsterdam”.
This does not make it clear whether they expect the visitors to start the violence or it is simply because their presence that will inflame the locals to take action, but their solution shows the clear bias of those supporting the ban.
With regards to the behaviour of the Maccabi fans, I believe a small minority were pulling down Palestine flags and singing their anti-Arab chants, but this ”Jew hunt” was organized days in advance by quite a number of local Muslims, so to me it doesn’t matter how antagonistic or deliberately provocative fans are being, that will never justify what those Muslims did to those fans. It was a pre-planned pogrom. Also see below. You run the gauntlet just being a visible Jew these days. Absolutely disgusting example of two-tier policing and massive overreach;
”I can’t believe what I’ve just watched.
A Jewish lawyer wearing a Star of David was arrested after the police alleged the symbol had “antagonised” pro-Palestine protesters.
He was handcuffed and detained by police for almost TEN hours. DISGUSTING!
Shame on you @metpoliceuk”

.
Why is this vile over reaction by the police not a hate crime? I no longer understand this country.

“OK, so it’s nobodies fault that Stan, sorry, Loretta can’t have babies, not even the Romans!, but we can fight for his, sorry, her ‘right’ to have babies!”

“Oxford Union faces financial crisis over Charlie Kirk scandal”
Being reported that young George has lost his vote of confidence, and is out of the door regards the Oxford Union. Now he’s free to complete his PPE degree, do a bit of researcher work in Westminster for a left wing lobby group, before popping up as Labour Candidate for some seat in 8 years time. All is well…
I hope you are right! I couldn’t find any news reports about the voting results today…
“The Paris climate agreement has utterly failed – why keep up the pretence?
Too many mortgages and careers depend on the lie. The lie must remain the truth at all costs.
To all those who think CO2 is evil, do your bit and stop breathing it out.
I thought a follow-up to the anti-Russian singalong in St Petersburg might be of interest.
Apparently none of the kids in the audience were arrested, sent to Gulags or thrown from high-rise windows. Mediazona reports the the 3 women performing the song were arrested and had jail sentences of less than 2 weeks for unauthorised street performance.
End of story.
Here’s a Daily Mail version, for those of us without access to the Paywalled Telegraph:
Oxford Union faces financial ruin after free speech row over Charlie Kirk leaves debating society in ‘utter turmoil’ | Daily Mail Online
“Oxford Union is in financial chaos as huge donations have been frozen following a free speech row over Charlie Kirk.
Sums of up to £500,000 have been put on hold and prominent figures have pulled out of speaking at the debating society due to the president-elect’s controversial comments, it has been reported.”
As one commenter said,
“Why is this even being questioned? Debated? Considered? You have an individual here in a position of influence and authority celebrating the DEATH of another human being, that in itself is grounds for expulsion, let alone disliking Charlie Kirk’s political viewpoint. The fact he actually debated with Kirk a while ago is doubly disturbing.”
“The flag wars have come to the Netherlands”
Fantastic news! Well done to our Dutch brothers!
