https://www.csis.org/analysis/russias-war-ukraine-next-chapter#h2-war-sustainability-for-russia ‘Putin remains quite committed to trying to revise international security, limit Ukraine’s sovereignty, and “denazify” and demilitarize Ukraine, and the war will not end anytime soon. ….the Kremlin leadership, in its current state of mind, is unable to radically alter its approach and worldview unless it faces truly radical consequences and is unable to continue, and that has not happened yet. As long as sanctions are relatively weak, Russia will circumvent them and continue to accumulate significant resources from selling its energy. The resources are still basically there to sustain the war for at least two or three years. The only notable shift in Russian public opinion we can trace is growing support for peace talks, which by late August 2025 had reached about two-thirds of Russian respondents across multiple surveys. Russia realizes that it’s unable to achieve a major breakthrough and basically switches to terrorizing Ukraine, primarily through airstrikes. Having come to terms with the fact that it’s unable to achieve its territorial goals in Ukraine, Russia’s long-term goal would be to prevent Ukraine from joining the E.U. and NATO and turning it into a so-called limbo state with a weakened economy, less Western support, and no possibility of attracting foreign direct investment.  …we are dealing with a very aggressive regime that is not driven by pure rational logic. For example, the Kremlin is currently sacrificing Russia’s future for the sake of this very unsuccessful war, without a clear,… Read more »

“further concessions on work visas for young people”

Well, that’s nice for them, I suppose. But, where are all these jobs they’re supposed to be doing I wonder? Traditionally, they’re overrepresented in the hospitality industry, but that’s dying on its arse in a ditch. So, what will they all be doing?

Does this remind you of anyone, hux? 👀 In fact, this description fits like hand in glove for, er…’certain individuals’, don’t you think? 🧐 After all, the reason people such as this are so active and prevalent online is that they benefit from being both anonymous AND unaccountable; ”The Narcissist A narcissist has an inflated sense of self-importance, craves admiration, lacks empathy, and may manipulate others to uphold their self-image, often linked to narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). What is Narcissistic Supply? This refers to the attention, admiration, validation, or even fear that individuals with NPD or narcissistic traits crave to maintain their inflated sense of self-importance and fragile ego. It’s like an emotional “drug” that narcissists are addicted to, as it temporarily fills their inner emptiness and shields them from feelings of shame or inadequacy. This is described as a pathological need for excessive affirmation from others, disregarding their feelings or boundaries. Narcissistic Rage: Narcissistic rage is an intense, often disproportionate emotional outburst triggered when someone with narcissistic traits feels their self-image, control, or superiority is threatened. It stems from a fragile ego and deep-seated insecurity, leading to explosive anger, vindictiveness, or passive-aggressive behavior to reassert dominance or deflect criticism.… Read more »

Instead of wasting space on the Daily Sceptic News Round-Up to carry out your own personal vendettas, which are completely IRRELEVANT to the topics at hand, why not SET UP YOUR OWN WEBSITE, where you & Pig Vicious can play stabby-stabby feline gossips all day long? Just a suggestion.

– Disney has suffered a string of flops in recent years after recasting
previously white characters with non-white actors, so has decided to
give white people another go, says the Mail.

And the blockbuster will be… Uncle Tom’s Cabin!

Outrageous Headline of the Week… “Russia may have been behind Jaguar Land Rover cyber attack” … … claim the Indian Tata Billionaire owners of Jaguar Land Rover, who are using the same tactics they used with British Steel: stealing the technology to build replica factories in India, forcing British staff to train their Indian replacements, then after the Indian factories were up and running, shutting down UK production and blaming China. Only this time they’re blaming Russia for their own fake cyber attack on their own UK factories. Designed In Britain, Made In India | Tata group In November 2024, this was announced: “At the idyllic getaway, the leadership team — N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons; Rajan Amba, Managing Director, JLR India; Geraldine Ingham, Managing Director, Range Rover, and Lennard Hoornik, Chief Commercial Officer, JLR — gathered to announce a very special milestone: RANGE ROVER and RANGE ROVER SPORT would now be LOCALLY MANUFACTURED IN INDIA.” ” This is the first time in the brand’s 54-year history that its flagship luxury sports utility vehicles will be produced outside its Solihull plant in the UK, from where it has, so far, been exporting to 121 global markets, including India.” While everyone is… Read more »
