The Technocrats Are Falling as Their Ideology Fails
In a panel discussion and book launch on The War on Science hosted by the Free Speech Union on Saturday in London, Richard Dawkins reminded his audience of the Lysenko saga in the Soviet Union. The famed British evolutionary biologist noted the parallel between today’s pseudoscience regarding gender and Soviet pseudoscience regarding plant genetics.
In the annals of scientific infamy, few episodes rival the Lysenko tale. Under the iron patronage of Joseph Stalin and later Nikita Khrushchev, the pernicious Soviet doctrine subordinated biology to Marxist-Leninist ideology. The charlatan agronomist Trofim Lysenko peddled the delusion that acquired traits could be inherited — a scientific fantasy dressed in proletarian garb. He promised bumper harvests through “vernalisation” of seeds and other quackery, rejecting the “bourgeois science” of Mendelian genetics as elitist sabotage.

This is an excellent article, but you have to stop using the phrase “a progressive ideology”. Marxo-fascism (wokism) is not in the least progressive. It is an ideology of tyranny, despotism, slavery, and the total-control state. It’s part of the developing new dark-age.
At the very least “progressive” should be in quotes.
One of the greatest con tricks has been convincing people that Marxism or (modern) Fascism is somehow “progressive”.
The long march, via the institutions, to a distant Utopia is a linear progression. But the destination (rarely described in any detail) is the total-control state with the minimum of personal choice.
Exactly.
And I think the entire idea of “progress”, that society is driven towards some kind of utopia on earth is actually a religious belief. Thus Marxism’s foundations are actually connected to Gnosticism but Marxism hides behind the veil of materialism.
By the way, I think Dawkins played a part in the development of the current situation, but he was so enamored with his own ideas, he didn’t realize it.
Yes: that Marxism – aka democratic socialism – is really about schools, hospitals and helping the ubiquitous poor, and that its spawn, Fascism, is a Right-wing, nay Far-Right ideology.
Apologies down tick was an error the app wouldn’t allow the uptick and my screen froze. I agree with your post 100%.
Actually it should have a capital – Progressive, which refers to a particular movement in the USA in the late 19th early 20th centuries which:- “… was a political and social-reform movement that brought major changes to the United States during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. During this time, known as the Progressive Era, the movement’s goals involved strengthening the national government and addressing people’s economic, social, and political demands. Progressives saw elements of American society that they wished to reform, especially ending the extreme concentration of wealth among the elite and the enormous economic and political power of big business.” So Marxist-Fascism in character. It also promoted eugenics, the breeding out of the population weak minded, low intelligence individuals by introducing a minimum wage to exclude from the work-force those labour wasn’t worth wage, so poorly nourished they would die early of diseases (particularly their children) and have low fertility rates. They also promoted forced sterilisation of low intelligence girls to avoid them becoming pregnant with low intelligence babies. I believe 23 States did actually pass legislation to allow this. I think the term “Progressive” should be better advertised so that the heritage of those who claim… Read more »
Agreed. Perhaps ‘a regressive ideology’ is a better label?
‘Regressive’ would be more apposite.
Foolishly, like many, I trusted scientists. Then, realising “climate change” is a complete scam, and then Covid, and that’s it.

“Biomedical paper retractions have quadrupled in 20 years — why?Unreliable data, falsification and other issues related to misconduct are driving a growing proportion of retractions.”
We had a workshop on the cubic law of fluid flow, a simple upgrade from A’ level Physics and kinetic energy. It explains the inability of windmills to provide any reliable electricity supply in the UK.
This was in 1974.
Ed Miliband has an A level in Physics.
Could you point me towards a relevant paper/lecture on the topic as it relates to wind power? I’d like to try and get my head around that.
But has a ‘PhD’ (Piled High & Deep) in politics.
So true. We also have to ensure that we may criticise and if necessary reverse ideology. You might reasonably observe that in the UK (and some other states) the main political parties all endorsed climate change ideology and COVID ideology so there was no ready alternative at the time. And catastrophe looms.
The political parties were aligning themselves with the BBC. Neither had a clue. Anyone that had any idea, like Graham Stringer MP, was excluded from the discussion.
Totally agree – the Globalists, Technocrats and NGOs won’t go down easily, but will kick and thrash furiously as they are dismantled and sidelined.
For the first time in a while however, I feel there might be hope for the future. People are increasingly fed up with the nonsense and the “normie” culture, such as it is.
Actual progressivism, that is progress, is always engendered by those who dissent and dig their heels in. More power to them.
The biggest leap forward in honest science would be to remove the indemnity protection from Big Pharma, on ALL vaccines, and ALL pharmaceutical medicines.
In the climate arena they need to release reports on Geo-Engineering and Chemtrails.
From a Legal/Lawful perspective there needs to be full accountability and a gold standard imposed on integrity and transparency. If you lie, either directly or by deliberate obfuscation or coverup there should be consequences, including imprisonment – harming or killing people is still a crime. Those whose careers have been damaged or destroyed should have a means of redress against those who deliberately lied, through libel and similar means.
I await the day that Dr. Andrew Wakefield is eventually exonerated, pardoned and proven right, and those who lied and destroyed him are punished, as I believe actually happened. It may be that he was not 100% correct, but he was certainly right to raise concerns and demand investigations.
Cue a seminal paper from 20 years ago, drawing back the curtain on “Why Most Published Research Findings Are False…”
https://journals.plos.org/plosmedicine/article/file?id=10.1371/journal.pmed.0020124&type=printable
“…There is increasing concern that most current published research findings are false. The probability that a research claim is true may depend on study power and bias.”
At the event TDS was on display by the panellists. A sociology professor firmly insisted that Autism was unconnected with paracetamol so research was damaging. Others claimed his partial defunding of institutions which have promoted the attack on science is itself an attack on science.
Apart from these irrational outbursts and the declared leftism of a majority of the panel it was a success. I am only just finishing the first chapter. Leftism is, of course, strongly associated with wokery and other authoritarianism.
We know the problem… what’s the fix?
Here in Leicester, face masks have been reintroduced at two hospitals.

I was trawling through my old emails this morning looking for one in particular and came across this which I’d emailed myself (to get it on a device which linked to my printer). It was published on Zerohedge by Tyler Durden (US journalist) on 27 Sept 2021 during the Covid Scamdemic when the mRNA jabs were being heavily coerced.
It’s long; scientifically very detailed; but correctly predicted what happened and predicts why. I had forgotten about it, but I think it is well worth sharing again. Please take the time to read it, and then make up your own minds.
