Therapy to check whether children are certain they want to change their gender and age limits on gender recognition could be discarded in the new plans.
The proposals, which are laid out in the European Commission’s new ‘LGBTIQ+ equality strategy 2026-2030’, have been condemned for “silencing women”.
EU member states who challenge gender ideology could be punished, with “discriminating regions” that do not comply with “values” seeing funding blocked.
The document, published on Wednesday, declares it will “support the development of legal gender recognition procedures based on self-determination that are free from age restrictions”.
It states: “Requirements for legal gender recognition vary significantly across Member States.
“While a number of Member States have adopted self-determination models, others impose medical procedures, which the European Court of Human Rights has found may infringe human rights.
“The Commission will facilitate exchanges of best practices among Member States to support the development of legal gender recognition procedures based on self-determination that are free from age restrictions.”
Talking therapy for children who are suffering from gender issues could also be banned.
The EU commission proposals, which have not yet been ratified by national governments, criticise countries, including Britain, which require a GP’s approval before they can identify as the opposite sex.
The new strategy has been branded “chilling” by sex rights campaigners.

I don’t put it past the EU to come up with crazy legislation, but this all seems very weird and designed to get a reaction.

Originally I just wanted to leave, and basically wish them well if that’s what they want, but its beyond that now. Nations (like Hungary and Czechia) need to get out now while they can. And yet some nations are desperate to join (Ukraine, Bosnia, Albania, Turkey?), or rather their leaders are, not so the people I suspect.
For the majority of EU member states, membership means they get German money, Germany underwrites their sovereign debts and their people have a right to move to Germany and work there. In particular, due to some seriously peverted piece of EU legislation whose German name is Entsenderichtlinie, this means their people might be moved to Germany by agencies from their countries which pay them wages in their country according to the local wage level on behalf of people who want to have work done in Germany but don’t want to pay the German minimum wage.
I tried to find an alternative explanation but my attempts failed. I keep coming back to the same conclusion: these people are insane.

The people who draw up their orders are insane. Britain has effectively halted sacrifices of vulnerable children to transmoloch and even declared that sex means sex and not gender¹. It’s also known that the associated policies are wildly unpopular among all electorates they’re supposed to be inflicted upon. That’s why the German Greens are now working on putting them into the German foundational law and why the European Commission is now pushing to add them to EU law. The powers behind this want to have this part of their agenda in places where neither national courts nor national votes can easily affect it anymore before more countries move openly out of line.
¹ Slovakia has also changed its constitution such that it explicitly states that two natural sexes exist and that no proposed replacement for them will be recognized.
