Teaching Assistant Sacked for “Manhandling” Pupil to Stop Him Running into Road
A teaching assistant was fired after grabbing a special needs pupil to stop him from running out of school and into a busy road. The Telegraph has the story.
Martha Ankamah was accused of using “excessive” physical contact when she had a confrontation with the 11 year-old, a tribunal heard.
During the incident, she grabbed hold of his backpack to restrain him and directed him towards a chair by pushing his neck.
The teaching assistant appeared at London South Employment Tribunal as she accused her employer of unfair dismissal, but her claims were dismissed.
Ms Ankamah began working at St Mary Magdalene Church of England Primary School in Woolwich, London, in 2014.
One of the children she worked with, known as Child A, was a Year Six pupil who had special educational needs. She had worked with the child since he was in Year Two.
It was heard that in June 2023, Ms Ankamah was out of the room when Child A hit another child. He then ran out of the classroom and met Ms Ankamah, who tried to calm him down.
CCTV footage showed the pair talking and then the child running into the school office to get his phone. Ms Ankamah grabbed his bag strap as he was threatening to run away as the school was on a “busy road”.
The Deputy Headmistress arrived and separated the pair, but Child A got away and ran into Ms Ankamah. After she tried to grab him, he started hitting out, then she placed her hand on his neck and pushed him.
Ms Ankamah was fired and arrested following the incident, leading to her facing a criminal trial, where she was acquitted.

From this story it sounds like the madness we expect in this country.
The education system is where common sense and decency go to die.
If she’d dressed him in pink and cut his balls off she’d have won a medal.
We have multiple problems running in parallel. We have a malevolent neo-marxist state whose goal it is to bring about a radical change to economical and societal structures. We have a disease of the mind that has infected huge swathes of the population – a virus that is based on victimhood, supported by intolerance wrapped up as ‘kindness’, and promoted by a neo-marxist state. We have a division of the sexes in which women see men as the enemy, and media of all types propagandise the masses into believing masculinity is a problem and must be purged, all promoted by a neo-marxist state. We have basic biological differences between the sexes reduced to ‘societal constructs’ which has concluded in men believing (or pretending to believe) that they are women, all of this being promoted by a neo-marxist state. We are witnessing the destruction of our country and culture by the forced introduction of incompatible cultures, shoved down our throats by a neo-marxist state. I could go on, but there’s little point.
Our enemy is the state.
I think I could agree with that.
The Church of England knows all about the persecution of those who save lives.
