Manchester Synagogue Terror Attack: Two Dead After Yom Kippur Rampage
Two people have been killed and three are in a serious condition after a suspected terror attack at a synagogue in Manchester, where car was driven into crowds gathering to celebrate Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. The Telegraph has more.
Police shot a suspect, who is also believed to be dead, after a car was driven into crowds gathering to celebrate Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
Firearms offers were deployed after a security guard was then reportedly attacked with a knife outside the Heaton Park synagogue in Crumpsall on Thursday morning.
A further three people are in a serious condition, Greater Manchester Police confirmed.
The Telegraph understands the incident is being treated as a suspected terror attack.
Video shared on social media appeared to show police officers pointing guns at someone laying on the ground outside the front of Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue.
The armed officers shouted at onlookers to “get back” and “move on”. Police have not confirmed reports of a bomb, although a disposal unit is on the scene.
Sir Keir Starmer will fly back to the UK to chair an emergency Cobra meeting. He has said the Government will deploy “additional police assets” at synagogues across the country.
He said: “The fact that this has taken place on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, makes it all the more horrific.”
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “Greater Manchester Police can confirm two people have died following the major incident outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue, Middleton Road, Crumpsall.
“A third person, a man believed to be the offender, was shot by GMP Firearms Officers and is also believed to be deceased. It cannot currently be confirmed due to safety issues surrounding suspicious items on his person.”

What shocking news. The political elites have encouraged this by tolerating or participating in anti semitism and supporting Hamas and their related evil. No news yet of the perpetrator.
But why does he need to return. Can the government not act without his presence, is his deputy not capable, are there not established protocols for the security services, police and judiaciary in cases like this. Has he not heard of Teams and Zoom. With Starmer returning I anticipate he will decide it was the “far right”.
I suppose the firearms officer will now face an investigation.
I expect so he can take credit for saving us.
A photo of the perp here, just before the police shot him, with what looks like explosives round his waist;

Hard to tell much about him and too many who post elsewhere seek to characterise the perpetrator as someone they want him to be. That is Starmer’s way, it should not be our way.
You need a visit to SpecSavers and a brain reboot with updated operating system
I’ve yet to see any of the MSM share this picture, no prizes for guessing why.
It’s hard to be sure from one picture but to me it looks like he could well be of British or European heritage but the beard says “convert to Islam”, was he radicalised in prison?.
Once police release details about him no doubt the MSM will shout from the rooftops about him being British, if this is the case, and try to ignore his religion.
I very much doubt he had genuine explosives round his waist, if he did he would of probably detonated them to cause as much carnage as possible. It’s not uncommon for Muslim terrorists to wear fake suicide vests/explosives knowing this means they’ll be shot dead by the police and believing that means they become martyr, go straight to paradise and are rewarded with 72 virgins.
We’ve got an I.D now. And with a name such as this I can’t begin to fathom his motives…;
“Manchester synagogue attacker named by police: Counter Terrorism Police have confirmed the name of the suspect of the Manchester synagogue terror attack as 35-year-old Jihad al Shamie, a British citizen of Syrian descent.”

So an quite likely immigrant, even though he’s been given British citizenship. It’ll be interesting to know if he’s previously committed crimes, was on a terror watch list and the government tried to strip him of his British citizenship and deport him but were constantly blocked on spurious human rights grounds.
The country is probably even angrier about immigration than it was last summer, will news of this person’s heritage spark a repeat of last summer’s riots. Possibly not because to far to many people the victims were “only Jews who deserved it” because of the war in Gaza.
It’s only a matter of time before the next terror attack, next time the maniac might target a kids dance class, pop concert attended by kids etc. When this happens if the mood of the public is still angrier about immigration than it was last summer (because Liebour still have tried to get a grip) large parts of the country may well go up in flames.
This comes a few days after recognising the palistinian state! Coincidence?
I’ll say it til the cows come home but: ”If you tolerate everything, you stand for nothing”. This sh*t here should never ever have been allowed to take place. It’s not just anti-Israel/Jews, it’s anti-West/democracy, and I’m pig sick of it;
”Pro-Pals took over the streets of central London last night. Set off fireworks in the busiest parts. Chanted for Israel’s destruction. And I don’t see a single police officer. So do racist thugs run our capital now? It’s like a nightmare dystopia.”

Tolerate means endure… or put up with. It’s not a virtue and is not mandatory. We tolerate (put up with) others… to a point… in the context of reciprocity, when we expect them to tolerate us.
It’s a two-way, not one-way street.
It may already have been planned (who knows?), but attacks like this have sadly been made more likely by our government endorsing anti-Israel (and by extension anti-Jewish) terror groups, providing encouragement for all those within our country who harbour such feelings.
In capitulating to terrorism in this way, Starmer has not only endorsed their activities, but he has emboldened them to go further. Terrorists are like blackmailers: you can never pay them off and expect them to stop.
Yes words have an impact. A fact the ‘free speech absolutists’ seem to fail to compute. How much more evidence, whether at home or abroad, do we need?
The irony isn’t lost on me that the Labour Party are all about censorship of ‘anti-establishment’ speech online ( and wrongful imprisonment for those peacefully protesting online/in person ), and yet the hostiles out protesting en masse, spewing bile and amplifying their hate, are left well alone. Their right to ‘freedom of expression’ trumps the patriots’. England flag = bad, Palestine/Pakistan/Jihad flags = good.
It makes me wonder how many Muslims are getting a knock at the door ( or having it broken down, as in some cases ) by the old Bill compared with English citizens voicing their dissent/concerns, because I’m yet to see a single video. I think they’re all left well alone, like they’re some sort of protected species. Same as it ever was.
It is Yom Kippur, you don’t need to link it to any other reason.
I suppose the firearms officer will now face an investigation.
Well, he has killed a member of the ruling Party’s subservient client group …
Why pass up an opportunity to grandstand on an internationaol stage?
“But why does he need to return.”
To show he “cares”.
“Something must be done”. He’s called a meeting, so something has been done; that is his mentality, unfortunately.
, is his deputy not capable,
You need to ask? But then are any of the cabinet?
Our vibrant multicultural society has produced another terror attack.
No doubt we’ll be told it was a lonely, mentally disturbed individual. Probably discriminated against and it’s totally our fault.
No association with the religion of peace whatsoever.
Now lay your flowers and teddy bears and let’s quickly move on: Farage is a bigoted racist who was a member of Hitlerjugend at the age of five.
“Now is the time for recriminations but to come together and not to give in to terrorism”.™️

If he turns out to be an “asylum seeker” then Two-Tier and his disgraceful Government will be to blame.
If that is the case, they will share the blame with previous governments who failed to secure our borders against undesirable immigrants. If it is not the case, Starmer will no doubt use it as another excuse for foisting ID cards on us, “to keep us safe”.
There needs to be an inquiry into what’s happening in the mosque that psycho attended and who around him knew what he intended to do, because I’m highly doubtful nobody close to the perp had any inkling into what he had planned. They can shove their ‘Islamophobia’ up their backsides, and the fake sympathy coming from the Labour Party Muslim MPs is just nauseating, as if they hold zero accountability for the current climate within British society; ”The attack is the result of years in which antisemitic rhetoric has been allowed to fester and grow unchecked – on our streets, in our schools, on our campuses, across social media, and from within politics itself. It is fed every weekend by pro-Palestinian marches that exude raw Jew-hate: chants of “From the river to the sea,” cries of “Khaybar, Khaybar,” placards likening Israel to Nazi Germany, and the relentless drumbeat that frames the Jewish state as a genocidal pariah. Words like these do not evaporate harmlessly. They embolden. They license hatred. They teach that Jews are fair game. The danger today was so clear that police launched Operation Plato – Britain’s emergency response to marauding terror attacks. That protocol isn’t triggered lightly;… Read more »
Passivity implies licence, support and is enabling.
This is squarely on the political class who have failed to keep us safe within our borders, and defended their ignominious behaviour with chants of “racist”, “Far Right” to any who point out the danger and dare complain.
Worse they have legitimised atrocities against the Jewish people by rewarding the Palestinians.
It is quite sickening to see the state of our Country.
Don’t panic everyone, it’s ok. The BBC thinks it was a far-right attack, multiculturalism is safe.

With a name such as “Jihad Al-Shamie”, it’s obviously true.
Well that settles it, definitely far-right with a a proper English name like that. He’s just as English as Shabana Mahmood.
Cobra is an emergency issues committee. It should not be used for routine albeit very serious and sad events. The murders and injuries may have been terrorist events but there is no suggestion they are part of a larger plan which might justify Cobra. If it were so the authorities have no right to limit information to the public, on the contrary we need to be told immediately the scale of what is in hand. I suggest Cobra is being used for one or both of two reasons. 1 to give an entirely spurious impression that Starmer is able, willing and actually doing something significant in response to the serious criminal outrage today. I suggest the fact is the matters are being investigated routrinely by the GMP and Security Services. They will make arrests, lay charges and the CPS will (?) bring prosecutions in due course (ie months). 2 Cobra is being used to activate secret propaganda and intelligence assets to suppress public enquiry and outrage over this attack in order to protect the Labour Party and Labour government. There have already been postings by others to suggest the recognition of Gaza (sic) has emboldened Hamas and other violent anti-Israel… Read more »
This is an horrific terror attack and in many ways it’s immoral to try and find a silver lining but this barbarism has drastically reduced the amount of media coverage given to Greta’s arrest by the Israeli’s.
I am angry about this because we saw this coming a mile off. I have to be careful as despite an avalanche of evidence that hate is being driven into young people in madrassas and mosques across Britain. By speaking out we all run the risk of the visit in the night from our police.Yet I am just waiting now, as Muslim leaders, far from condemning this insanity will be complaining about Islamophobia, because of course, they are the victims in all this.
The media’s stochastic terrorism chalks up a victory.
By recognising Palestine as a State, Starmer has opened the gates of Hell for all of us, particularly the Jews.
I can’t understand how Starmer can be so weak, he has family members who are Jewish, but he’s blinkered and sold his soul to remain in power.
Not nipping the” peaceful” pro-palestine marches in the bud has emboldened the antisemites. And our esteemed leader hasn’t helped he’s even endangered his own family for votes.
