“Sir Keir Starmer says that the UK’s flag represents the nation’s diversity”
Not really. It represents the four countries, I suppose their history, people and traditions. I suppose a certain amount of “diversity” is included in that, but not the sort and magnitude of the “diversity” that Starmer means.
The remarks seem to be a calculated response to the biased MSM reporting of the London March. It makes some kind of sense in response to a few hundred violent thugs shouting racist slogans and attacking the police. It makes less sense in response to 1 million + of our citizens uniting for freedom of speech, with another two or three million watching the livestream..
Indeed
I think he is either flailing around desperately or doesn’t care and it’s all theatre
His comment reflects the ongoing battle for the soul of the nation.
Will Britain become a racial and cultural melting pot, a diversity nirvana for all (except white heterosexual men for as long as they refuse to be a compliant, subservient minority).
Or will Britain defend it’s cultural heritage and remain a mostly white nation, with a culture rooted in Christianity and timeless, sensible ideas and values that were considered normal and mainstream until just a few years ago,
The former has been advancing without resistance for about 20-30 years. Now there is push back.
Interesting times.
Some small signs of hope, yes
Diversity means different/apart – the flag means together… clue in name Union Flag/Jack.
It signifies and symbolises a unique, successful monoculture, Anglo-Saxon-Celt of Judeo-Christian heritage, which has evolved over about 8 000 years.
It is defiance against the replacement of that cuityre with alien ones in order to fragment society, our economy, our National idebtoty, to stir up conflict in order to justify tighter controls for complete power and control over a subservient population which will have no say in how it is governed.
“Alastair Campbell forced to apologise over fake Charlie Kirk claim”
Let’s charitably assume that Campbell read the claim somewhere, just like the idiot who said Tommy Robinson had convictions for violence against women. If that were the case, it would demonstrate that our political establishment has no powers of critical thinking, substituting gossip for checking sources. That is every bit as culpable as deliberate lying.
Alastair Campbell is known primarily as a forked-tongue speaker of lies, it’s his entire thing. A venomous maggot who has the morals and conscience of a demon.
If someone has to be forced to apologise then the apology is worth nothing
Well, it would be by definition, wouldn’t it? 🙂
Whichever way the HoL vote goes it could be described as fatal.
This Parliament ought to be remembered as the deadly Parliament.
Assassin living with a transgender..
No he wasn’t, there’s no such thing. And I think Tyler Fischer’s take is the best:

Is “Trans-Atlantic” the Atlantic transitioning to the Pacific or vice versa? I get so confused.
Sadiq Khan buys isreali armoured vehicles for use on Londons streets!
The Sandcat is isreali developed and built and includes gun ports!! I’m guessing they are for use on unruly natives only!

Not a million miles away from the Humber ‘Pig’ the army used in Northern Ireland, during the troubles… whatever could they be thinking?
This is just the latest in a long trend of turning the police in a militarised force.
Not so long ago, policemen were basically dressed in blue trousers, a white shirt with a tie and funny hat to stand them out.
The police are now dressed like paramilitaries.
They’re beefing up the vehicles now. It is just a matter of time before police cars are rare and almost every copper is driving around in a tank or tank like vehicle.
The trend is unstoppable because it is based on the safety argument – the safety of police officers in this case. And we all know that the health and safety argument has no effective counter argument. Not in modern society. Any risk, no matter how small, is unacceptable and must be eliminated at any cost.
Few phrases are more depressing to me these days than “better safe than sorry”.
Agreed, and what a sad situation it is becoming
Interesting that the trend for the capacity of the police to get physical in person is going in the opposite direction- coppers used to be physically intimidating without the need for fancy equipment but seem much less so now
The cancelling of Trevor Phillips by Sky shows that the authorities don’t want to listen.
I am afraid that people will continue shouting and shouting louder.
Starmer’s reactions are reminiscent of his extreme reaction to the Southport riots, doling out harsh punishments do discourage further dissent. It won’t.
“Lost control of the narrative” springs to mind…
Puzzled there are not one or two original pieces in DS covering the event, ideally from people who were there.
In the absence of this, one point I’ve not seen about numbers at the rally.
The police said 110K. But they also said they had problems because numbers far exceeded expectations.
The organizers have for months been saying they expected 1 million to come, and have been liaising closely with the police.
So is the “exceeded expectations” number 110K, or >1 million?
Good point
Seems like DS doesn’t like anything Tommy Robinson is involved in?
Toby tweeted yesterday asking for reports from people on the ground. The MSM was clearly doing a great job to try and downplay numbers and make it sound as if it was a violent event.
Interesting thanks – perhaps an article will appear in due course, based on that feedback. I am not on X.
There are full articles in Free Speech backlash and TCW, except they both minimise the numbers.see my comment to next item
I thought the police had crowd counting observation software on drones or helicopters for this kind of thing?
The problem is: once people start lying to you, you can’t believe anything they say…
The police have said there were over 3 million. As their estimates are usually on the low side I am prepared to accept this, especially having been on the largest anti lockdown marches, brought up near Wembley stadium so used to large crowds, this was of a quite more massive scale. It was intended that assembly beforehand upto 1 million would be in Stamford Street with access from the east on Blackfriars Road. Living in London we came in by Jubillee line to Southwark about 12.30 When we arrived Stamford Street was completely full and we waited half way down Blackfriars Road from Southwark tube, which was completely full before we set off finally. The approach down Blackfriars Road from the north from Blackfriars station was even more packed being the recommended approach. From the article in TCW Blacfriars station was shut hours before. From looking at the films Whitehall was completely full already when the speeches etc. started about 2 hours later which coincided with the first cloud burst. At that time we were half way along Stamford Street with masses behind us, and still had over a mile to go to Whitehall. My wife decided at Westminster Bridge to go… Read more »
Thanks for this first hand report
It depends. It depends on what is being counted. If they are counting only the crowd around the stage and immediate area 110 000 might be nearish, but way off if it excludes all the people still on the main routes leading to that area and on the bridges, then the thousands who spilled into other streets, many unable to proceed because the Police were taken by surprise… something… by the numbers and the planned routes become over-congested… or something.
Dense columns of people were stretched back to the railway stations and assembly points and still arriving after the 1pm kick-off.
Jonathan Sacerdoti in the Spectator
Thanks
Can’t read it- paywalled
I give some of my spare money to “alternative media sources” – certainly not to any mainstream media
Thought it was strange I could read it although paywalled but I read it in Spectator Australia. Although I do sneak around interesting paywalls with archive.ph
Thanks – able to read the Aussie one
Thank you, well worth a read. Found this bit very interesting:
”My husband, who is also my podcast producer, was with me to film for my YouTube channel. As we arrived, he reached into his pocket and took out a kippah, the Jewish head covering, which he wore all day. I wear mine only during prayer. Many greeted him with ‘shalom’ or offered a hug. None were hostile. Those who started conversations with him were warm, friendly and candid. Most didn’t react at all. The only abuse he received was later, from a woman in the so-called anti-racist protest we passed on our way home. (He is a non-white immigrant to the UK.)”
Thanks for that – even the Speccie is getting on board
Lost control to the extent that nobody is listening to it anymore, except the useful idiots and mindless blobs.
Appalling censorship of the reportage that does not fit with the MSM/OFCOM narrative
Unfortunately for the authorities, the Internet is forever, so that video clip is still all over X and ever will be available.
I do hope that all seagoing vessels will now be equipped with gender-appropriate lifesaving equipment, as well as renaming navigational aids – buoys in particular.

“We won’t allow flag to become symbol of violence” – Sir Keir Starmer
How dare he say this? How? The man is a traitor to his own people and certainly does not own the British or English Flag!
They are for the people by the people not the soul property of the state!
Please gift us the democratic removal of this empty, arrogant pussy of a man, we need real british leadership!
Who “we” Paleface?
It looks like “we” won’t be in Downing Street much longer.
And yes, it is ”our” flag, and not for that dollop to define its meaning or our intent on displaying it.
Deleted. Sorry jxb, you meant ‘we’ as in Keir and the gang.
Keir and the gang! sounds like a dodgy 70s pop band, saying that, “it’s just an illusion” fits very nicely with the labour party!
