Britain Bans Israelis From Prestigious Military Academy
Israelis have been barred from one of Britain’s top defence academies because of the war in Gaza. The Telegraphhas the story.
The Royal College of Defence Studies will not accept students from Israel from next year, the Government confirmed.
Amir Baram, the Director General of Israel’s Defence ministry, who studied at the college, said the decision was “a profoundly dishonourable act of disloyalty to an ally at war”.
In a letter to the Ministry of Defence (MoD), shared with the Telegraph, he called it a “discriminatory act” that amounted to a “disgraceful break with Britain’s proud tradition of tolerance – and plain decency”.
It is the first time that the college has excluded Israelis.
The Royal College of Defence Studies was instituted in 1941 and was Winston Churchill’s brainchild
Maj Gen Baram said the decision came at a time when Israel was “defending international shipping from Houthi aggression, preventing nuclear weapons from falling into the hands of an Islamist regime that chants ‘Death to England’, and fighting to bring home 48 hostages from Hamas captivity”. …
An MoD spokesman said British military educational courses had long been open to personnel from a “wide range of countries, with all UK military courses emphasising compliance with international humanitarian law”.
The Israeli Ministry of Defence said that the ban was on all Israeli citizens enrolling, not just soldiers. …
The exclusion of Israelis from the college is the latest in a string of punitive actions against Israel taken by Downing Street.
The Government banned Israeli officials from participating in the UK’s largest arms exhibition this weekend, and last year Sir Keir Starmer suspended 30 out of 350 British arms export licences to Israel.
The Prime Minister also said Britain would recognise a Palestinian State at the UN General Assembly in New York later this month unless Israel stopped its war against Hamas in Gaza and committed to not annexing the West Bank.

So the one democratic western country in the middle East who’s on our side, and we ban them! There’s only one item of military training the Royal College of Defence Studies’ management have had, shooting themselves in the foot.
Putting pictures of Africans and Chinese on their website is much more important, SimCS. Shows how civilised and non-aggressive and DEI we have become, because everyone knows that is the best military strategy any country can have.
The people have to take responsibility for the governments they allow into office.

Apart from the political implications I’m not sure the Israelis need our military academies. It seems they could teach our woeful woke armed forces an awful lot.
I was just going to post something similar. We always fight the last war and the lessons learned then. I used the 7.62 (.30 calibre)SLR and many of my contemporaris that stayed in after I left found the 5.56 (.22 calibre) is insufficient in combat. The larger round having something like 3 times the mass of the smaller round. This was done by the MoD who are asinine and incompetent. They are not in harms way. The Israelis are and have been for a very long time and can learn very little from the fools running this school.
Two things I’ve learned:
1. The Law of Reciprocity- the God of Israel treats nations the way they treat Israel. Scripture states it. History proves it.
2. Israel always wins.

Yet another example of the fact that “anti-racists” on the political left think that racism and discrimination is not just acceptable but mandatory provided is directed towards Jews in particular and white people in general.
I wonder what other countries are banned by this “academy”. I’m sure every country it allows students from has a spotless human rights record, like all the countries we sell weapons to.
Talking of weapons, don’t we still sell weapons to Israel?

It seems that western countries are banning all sorts of people as well as restricting trade with many others. At the same time countries like the UK allow many undesirable people to slip through the border with unknown consequences.
it comes as no surprise therefore that many countries are realigning eastwards and rejecting the dictatorial west. In the meantime we are becoming poorer just like the rest of Europe.
But let’s face it, the current government is full of Fabian’s who are closet communists whose sole purpose is to stealthily destroy the institutions of the western world and replace them with unelected bureaucrats unanswerable to the people.
Assuming that the college, being so kind and cuddly, only teaches nice ways of fighting wars, surely they would welcome the chance to teach those horrid Israelis the proper, ethical way to do things?
Seems like pointless posturing to me.
