Another 24 People Charged with Supporting Palestine Action

A further 24 people have been charged for showing support for Palestine Action, bringing the total number to 138. The Mail has the story.

The charges, announced by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), follow a demonstration by supporters of the banned group in London on July 19th.

It comes as campaign group Defend Our Juries (DOJ) prepares for another rally protesting its outlawing this Saturday.

Hundreds of people will take part demonstrations in London, Belfast and Edinburgh, with plans for more than 1,000 to take part in Parliament Square by sitting silently, holding signs saying: “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.”

A CPS statement said: “Today’s CPS decisions are announced ahead of any further activity by those who may be considering showing similar support towards Palestine Action, which has been seen throughout the summer.”

Today, Defend Our Juries said it has sent a letter to Met chief Sir Mark Rowley ahead of the protest in Westminster.

It said police forces in Edinburgh, Totnes, Derry and Kendall had all decided not to arrest sign-holders.

The letter said: “You do not need to endlessly repeat the embarrassing charade of arresting people who are acting peacefully and lawfully in front of the world’s press, bringing policing into disrepute.

“As the hundreds start to become thousands, maybe it’s time to put a cap on your losses and give your hardworking and overstretched men and women some well-deserved rest?

“No more violations of international law, no more officers wondering how long they can tolerate serving in a force that compels them to carry away elderly, frail vicars into police vans and police cells.

“No more officers, facing burnout, feeling ‘ashamed and sick’ for arresting people with disabilities for terrorism.”

It comes after six people who are alleged to be members of DOJ, or working closely with it, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday to deny terror offences after being alleged to have tried to organise mass gatherings with the aim of rendering the ban on Palestine Action unenforceable.

The left wing media are having a field day reporting that 2 people in wheelchairs and several elderly people are among those arrested.
No doubt the virtue signallers put them at the front of the crowd to ensure they’d get arrested so they can exploit it to try and gain public sympathy. It’s almost as if they were being used as human shields, I wonder where the virtue signallers got this idea from.

Just think that in liberal Canada under Adolf Trudeau those in wheelchairs would be trampled by horses.

Isn’t opposing genocide and supporting Palestine action a contradiction in terms, given the Palestine governments ‘hamas’ stated aim towards Israel? They need to unequivocally commit to reciprocity or given Oct 7th we can justly assume they are all liars, who in fact are genocidal themselves.

There are obviously differing viewpoints on that matter.

The question is whether the the truth is reached through the messy process of free speech or whether state officials get to dictate the official truth.

My understanding of the law in the USA is that expressing support for “terrorist organisations” is not illegal- only the provision of material support which could include advice. If I am right and the sky has not fallen in over there, then I don’t see why simply expressing support for Palestine Action needs to be illegal.

I think you are right about America, but as the American COVID response shows, the sky nearly did fall in over there over that. The fight back has been slow and cost a lot of effort and it is only the appointment of RFK which is challenging the propaganda and cancellations which the blob is still free spread. I e the construction of free speech and it’s defence is not right in America either even though it still retains the first amendment back stop which is currently saving us all. I believe there is a big announcement coming soon which no doubt the MSM blob will try their best to discredit

I guess my point, in support of stewart, was that the US allows people to express support for terrorist organisations and they seem at least no worse off than we are.

Big pharma, and the globalist blob terrorised us and mandated us, bought MSM to control the narrative and cancelled us and tried to stop the truth from getting out. Organisation which do not support reciprocal basic rights including free speech should be banned if they do not move to or affirm a reciprocal position over basic rights. Allowing speech which undermines free speech is not being in favour or support of free speech. I think therefore the US position is actually wrong as well.

Their “position” is a lot better than ours.

People in the US were free to speak against the “globalist blob” during “covid” whereas in the UK, Ofcom regulate content.

Who decides what speech “undermines free speech”? You? Me? The government?

Anyway, all academic as very few people value free speech or understand the point of it.

I read somewhere that over 900 Far Left Terrorist Thugs have been arrested for supporting the banned terrorist group Palestine Action. Good!
