Farage To Raise Lucy Connolly Case With Trump Allies in US
Nigel Farage is heading to Washington to tell Trump allies that Lucy Connolly’s jailing shows Britain is sliding on free speech and putting US–UK trade at risk. The Sunday Times has more.
The Reform UK leader will give evidence to the House judiciary committee in Washington as part of a hearing on the effect that UK and European online safety laws are having on American citizens and tech companies.
Farage has been invited by the committee chairman, Jim Jordan, a Republican congressman, and intends to use the hearing on Wednesday to attack Starmer’s handling of the issue.
Trump threatened last week to impose more tariffs on countries that do not remove digital regulations that he deems to be discriminatory against American tech products and companies.
Jordan, along with other Trump allies on the committee, recently led a delegation to Brussels and London to examine how “aggressive European speech regulations affect American free speech rights”. …
Farage said: “I think it’s a very clear example of what’s gone wrong. I shall say [at the hearing] that I’m worried that Europe, the European Union, is heading down a route that’s putting it in direct conflict with American businesses. And I fear we’re being dragged down the same path, I genuinely do.”
Farage said he would also raise concerns about the Online Safety Act, which gives Ofcom the power to fine social media platforms 10% of their revenues, as well as “the creeping censorship that we’re seeing” and the “damage it’s doing to our commercial relations with America”.

I increasingly believe that the establishment will regret the outrageously disproportionate punishment they handed out to Lucy Connolly.
Clearly the story is not going away and it doesn’t look like she is going to keep quiet.

I’ve been quite impressed by what I’ve heard of Lucy connolly since she came out, she seems a very decent intelligent person.

I agree. I think they have managed to “radicalise” her and lots of people who followed her story. Massive overreach caused by some combination of being drunk on power and desperate.

If she had received a fine, or even a suspended sentence, we would have long forgotten about Lucy Connolly.
Instead, she’s in the newspapers, her case has received a lot of publicity and now a potential US congressional hearing.
Starmer screwed up this big time (as I fully believe he influenced the judge).

This was an excellent move by US Republican Patriot Congressman Jim Jordan, inviting Nigel Farage, Member of the UK Parliament to speak to the US Congress about Freedom of Speech in the UK.
I hope that Congressman Jordan will also invite Rupert Lowe, Member of the UK Parliament, to speak to the US Congress about Freedom of Speech in the UK.
It’s a bit worrying, though, that after Lucy Connolly was scheduled to meet a “Trump envoy” days after her release from prison, everything went quiet, and there’s been no more news about it.
Dan Wootton reported that the Evil Sikh Ethnic Indian woman Narinder Kaur, who dyes her black hair blond in order to appear more Ethnic European, denounced Lucy Connolly to the police in a vicious attempt to get Lucy locked up again, and since then there’s been no news of Lucy at all.
Since Congressman Jordan is a loyal Trump ally, it will be interesting to see if Trump backs the Reform Party controlled by Ethnic Indian Muslim Millionaire Mohammed Yusuf, for which Nigel is just his “front man”, now that Elon Musk is backing the Advance UK Party controlled by Ethnic Indian Pakistani Millionaire Benyamin Naeem Habib, for which Tommy Robinson is just his “front man”.
So, British voters will be able to choose among an array of Third World Ethnics and illegal leaders of political parties to vote for as Prime Minister:

I met Rupert Lowe at a Brexit meeting in the West Midlands in 2015 and found him to be sullen and lacking in charisma. Luckily Farage led the charge and the Brexit Party achieved it’s goals. Any new party led by Habib & Lowe will have a Raving Looney feel to it.
