Reform UK Will Pledge Five Deportation Flights a Day

Nigel Farage has unveiled his plan for the “mass deportation” of hundreds of thousands of asylum seekers arriving in the UK on small boats. The Times has the story.

…The Reform UK leader says that Britain is facing a “massive crisis” and that the only way forward is to detain and deport all migrants who arrive illegally.

His plan would take Britain out of the European Convention on Human Rights and derogate from the UN Convention Against Torture and other international agreements.

Reform UK, Farage’s party, would introduce emergency legislation known as the Illegal Migration (Mass Deportation) Bill, which would bar those who come to the UK on small boats from claiming asylum. While awaiting deportation, they would be held in detention centres on “surplus” RAF bases.

Reform would seek to sign deals with Afghanistan, Eritrea and other countries that are large sources of small-boat migrants, despite claims of human rights abuses by their governments.

The party would also look to “third countries” such as Rwanda and Albania to house asylum seekers and seek to use British overseas territories such as Ascension Island as a “fallback” if people could not be sent elsewhere.

Ascension Island

Pressed on what he would do if people were returned to Afghanistan and tortured or killed, Farage said: “I’m really sorry, but we can’t be responsible for everything that happens in the whole of the world. Who is our priority? Is it the safety and security of this country and its people? Or are we worrying about everybody else and foreign courts? That’s what it comes down to. Whose side are you on?”

The home secretary would have a statutory duty to remove people from the UK, Farage said. He claimed the plans would lead to hundreds of thousands of people being deported and that five charter flights would leave the country every day.

Reform would also introduce criminal offences for people who attempt to return to the UK or who tear up their identity documents. …

Reform said the plans would cost £10 billion over five years but would ultimately save the government money because it would not be spending £7 billion a year on asylum hotels and other costs. “The aim of this legislation is mass deportations,” Farage said. “We have a massive crisis in Britain. It is not only posing a national security threat but it’s leading to public anger that frankly is not very far away from disorder. There is only one way to stop people coming into Britain and that is to detain them and deport them.”

Under the plans, the European Convention on Human Rights would be replaced by a British Bill of Rights. Farage said it would not include any reference to human rights but include terms such as “liberty” and “freedom” and would explicitly prioritise British citizens over foreigners.

The plan, called Operation Restoring Justice, would require the government to build detention centres capable of holding 24,000 people within 18 months. Reform said the construction would cost £2.5 billion and that the accommodation would be basic pre-fabricated structures on military sites. Those detained would be barred from leaving or claiming bail. …

The government, he said, would take a “carrot and stick” approach by introducing a six-month voluntary returns scheme. Migrants would be able to “deport themselves” using an app and given £2,500 to leave the country. Their flights would be paid for.

All well and good, but what I want to see is these people being persuaded from ever turning up here in the first place. We should announce quite clearly that if you arrive in this country uninvited you will receive NOTHING. No food, no money, no accommodation —NOTHING. Tomorrow NONE will arrive. We won’t then have to waste time and money deporting them.

Quite.

Isn’t it instructive that neither the ‘Conservative’ Party nor the ‘Labour’ Party have made it abundantly clear in law and in messaging that if you arrive in this country illegally, you will NEVER be granted right to remain.

By their deeds . . .

That’s because they want to keep encourage mass immigration. They are liars and are following an agenda to destroy nation states. The biggest and worse were every Prime Minister since 1997. They have no place in our country and should be kicked out.

I consider the illegal boat people to be a distraction. Annoying, dangerous even, but a secondary problem. What does he propose about the one million or so LEGAL immigrants arriving every year?

Indeed.

The consequent destruction of the native culture of the country is never discussed; just an artificial debating point like ‘pressure on public services’, to keep up the pretence.

Spot on guys. The boats are a small part ~10% of the overall problem. The far greater threat is the ‘legal’ invasion of Muslims, Indians and Africans. That # needs to be zero. We then need to deport any who are not working. We need to stop the business and family visa fraud.

Meloni has backtracked on legal migration recently saying Italy needs migrants. My suspicion is that Farage is out of the same mould. I remain unconvinced that he intends to take on the globalist establishment, bankers and corporations even if he gets a good working majority.

I agree with your assessment completely, and Closet Globalist Meloni is a good example.

Genuine Italian Patriot Matteo Salvini is the True Prime Minister of Italy, though shoved into the background by cutesy Globalist Meloni playing kissy-huggy with every world leader at every conference. She has also refused to support him against all the “lawfare” legal actions that have been hanging over his head for years. All very convenient for her.

“The Brothers of Italy” need their heads examined for choosing a Giggling Globalist Woman to represent them. It’s ridiculous. Just like the Idiot Dutch Farmers choosing a Globalist Female Journalist to represent them, undermining their supposed coalition partner Geert Wilders at every turn, along with the “Muslim Turk in Stilettos” bizarrely chosen to lead another Dutch political party.

It’s a start. they should also stop immigration entirely unless the applicants have proven that they have a job, that whoever employs them guarantee they will be fully employed and housed for a period of 15 years, that includes the cost of health care for any dependents that come with them and they should be no burden on the public purse. If they become unemployed the company must then bear the full cost of repatriation to their originating country. Anyone employing unauthorised people or who dodge tax or any other misdemeanour should be fined at least £1m and if they themselves are immigrant be stripped of their right to remain.

What is needed is a TOTAL MORATORIUM ON ALL IMMIGRATION FROM THE THIRD WORLD, for at least five years, renewable every five years.

I would say in practice it needs to be for hundreds of years, or forever, unless they all suddenly leave or stop having children, or White British people (and their White European cousins) start having lots of children. Even if no more arrive we may end up in a minority.

Don’t know if you consider India the Third World, or China, but I would say it should probably ALL stop, including immigration from Europe – these days being a “European” citizen doesn’t mean you are a native European. From what I can see and have experienced, our White European cousins are integrating well into this country and making a positive contribution.

Perhaps there should be some kind of “whitelist” of countries from which immigration is allowed. We could allow Japanese in, for example, as they don’t cause trouble on average and won’t come in large numbers.

I agree with everything you said except your final sentence, because that’s exactly what they said about the Poles. Welsh friends of mine said their Welsh cousins in the building industry were laid off in droves and replaced by Poles for lower wages.

I have nothing against Poles or any other of our Ethnic European cousins, but everyone needs a break from immigration for a while. I remember reading years ago that one Polish woman who was surprised to be given a large council house for herself and her family said, “In Poland, Poles come FIRST! In Britain, things are different…”

Third World Ethnics need to focus on working hard to build their own ancestral homelands into great nations, as our ancestors did, everywhere they went in the West.

Your idea of a “whitelist” was Australia’s immigration policy for years, and Australia thrived under it, until the usual Communist Traitors got into government and overturned it all.

I think the US had a mainly-white immigration policy for a good while.

I agree about Poles – I don’t want to live in Poland, and neither I think do the Poles that have remained in the UK – at least not the ones I know. I think the whole thing has to stop, now, for a long time, if this country is to saved.

Some nice red crosses painted on the mini roundabouts on my way to skating this morning – cheered me up!

A step in the right direction. Turning off benefits and encouraging self deporting is a pragmatic solution. One plank of the good ship Reform. This is also a policy that puts pressure on Starmer to do something himself. If not, why not?

5 flights a day is nowhere near enough. That would only be 1000 per day it should be at least 50 per day,
Anyone who refuses to disclose their nationality should be put in a detention centre, no pocket money, basic food until they disclose their country of origin. Then immediate deportation. If there is no treaty with any country they should simply be dumped on the beac.

I’m beginning to wonder if ‘two tier’ is the best phrase for this suffocation of our right to free speech. What is happening is political policing, the coopting of the police to the cause of the far Left and their fundamentalist allies of the Batley Sharia exiling of a teacher. The Stop Oil nightmare was helped along by Plod, tea and cakes provided, Joe Public damaged and offended. Lucy Connolly should have been treated as under DPP Starmer’s regulations, but it suited him politically to terrorise her, bang her up and ignore the fact of her apology and retraction, which helped Ricky Jones walk free after urging the slitting of the throats of Tories. Chicken Dipper judges: they are politically driven to stop deportations. Police transporting Epping far Left agitators to the hotel is again blatant political action inflaming an already tense situation.
We are in the grip of far Left political policing, cf the Stasi with its focus on monitoring our conversation, pub banter, social media, the lot.

“While awaiting deportation, they would be held in detention centres on “surplus” RAF bases.”

They couid also be billeted in the houses of those who insist “refugees and diversity welcome” and at their expense.

I don’t understand why this is not already being done – and Charles has plenty of houses and spare bedrooms to accommodate quite a few and as he is so keen on multiculturalism and diversity he won’t mind.

Yes, surely the key is to process the dinghy trippers on board large ferries, before they walk on dry land. How many passengers does a roll on/off ferry accomodate?

Simply ban all illegal immigrznts from stepping foot in your country. You have laws in place. Use them!

As the Australians did— they did not allow illegal immigrants to even set foot on Aussie soil, and it worked a treat.

This is a good start. None of these major issues destroying British society and culture can be addressed without leaving ECHR and both refugee conventions; making substantial changes to the equality and protected characteristic legislation; having many visa categories which do not lead to indefinite leave to remain; enforcing the hiring of British citizens unless this is provably not possible; making citizenship much harder to attain; promoting and protecting free speech, even when it ‘offends’ and cancelling the ridiculous NCHIs; reforming many of Britain’s institutions and the people in the most senior positions. All of the above are entirely reasonable to create a harmonious and stable society. Without the above changes Britain will continue its descent into oblivion.

Lord Glasman, Labour peer, advocates drones over the Channel and naval force out to police our waters. Drones could also identify and destroy dinghies on beaches prior to being borded. A couple of large ferries with the Navy should shepherd dinghies on and process the applicants on board, ferrying the faileld applicants to a friendly North African coastal state. Those getting through should be bussed to Nissan huts in rural areas where farmers need labour, and processed there. Of course the ECHR needs quitting asap, as Lord Blunkett, another Labour peer, seems to be advocating. Truss’s Rwanda scheme now looks far from mad. With a molotov cocktail being hurled at an Operation raise the Colours’ flag fixer, no doubt by an ultra left agitator, we are indeed not far from civil war.

As others on here have said, it would make much more sense to pay the Falkland Islanders to guard the Muslim Army instead of Rwanda.
