There are several ex muslim women giving interviews on YouTube, as well as men such as Apostate Prophet. This very courageous and intelligent lady has been hounded from her home town, rather as the Batley teacher: why no support from the authorities? Another ex muslim woman is Sara Ghorbani, now Canadian. She reports being criticised by the ‘liberal’ westerners for not ‘respecting’ Islam by quitting it – she expected support but got Sharia attack: liberals support crude and illiberal patriarchal fundamentalism, and our MeToo types turn the blind eye, or worse. I would also recommend Jay Smith’s YouTube lecture analysing the sources of Islam and finding a complete lack of evidence for Mohmamed’s existence in terms of coins, statues, inscriptions for a conquering warrior, and his story comes on writings 200 years after his alleged death. The earliest mosques do not point to Mecca but to Petra, Mecca only coming to be celebrated much later. Etc
I watched that fascinating lecture by Jay Smith, and one of the most important findings was those early mosques pointing to PETRA, featured in one Indiana Jones movie as the location of the Holy Grail, but historically the epicentre of the early mediaeval Hebrew merchant traders called Radhanites, who roamed the known world for centuries, transporting child slaves from European countries to the Islamic world, and along the Silk Road even as far as China. Petra was their secret hideout and base, where they could safely stash their slaves and loot. Some historical research indicates that the Great Wall of China was built by and for them, transporting the Emperor’s gold, as well as silk, spices and slaves. The Wall was also built to rapidly move the Emperor’s troops, in imitation of Hadrian’s Wall, and perhaps built by enslaved Roman engineers. New research indicates that the Great Wall became a wide paved sunken road when it crossed the vast steppe, so that traders could traverse the whole breadth of the flat, treeless grasslands without being seen. The Hebrew Radhanites were able to traverse harsh deserts because they had secretly built covered water channels and cisterns in the rocky areas, after… Read more »
Really interesting research being done. Tom Holland’s In the Shadow of the Sword analyses the history of the Arab conquests and the odd gap where Mohammed should be. His Channel 4 version Islam the Untold Story got one showing but the repeat was pulled after threats – this Enlightenment scholarship is running into mob violence and not counter debate. Robert Spencer also a very knowledgeable non aggressive scholar and Arabist who has questioned the historicity of Mohammed. The Home Office outrageously blocked his entry to the UK. This of course will upset the faithful who may riot and cause disorder and hurt feelings, but that is precisely what the Enlightenment did, told the truth however hard to stomach. This is the cultural divide facing us now, and our Universities are bottling out with censorship. Rod Liddle in today S Times says we are entering the new world of Disenlightenment and unless we support the truth and resist the offence culture, that will happen. A quote from Liddle: “I like to call the age we are about to enter the Disenlightenment, in which we de-learn all the stuff that seemed so important to us in the 18th century ? knowledge, scientific… Read more »
There are several courageous and intelligent ex muslim women to be heard on YouTube interviews, this lady is particularly impressive and it is outrageous that she can be given the Batley treatment with no police or official support. A Canadian ex muslim woman
Ps It is high time for the Equality Act to recognise ‘protected characteristics’ for ex muslims like this heroic woman, they really do need protection …against the protected characteristics given to the Apostasy laws against those who quit that faith. And of course the ECHR would surely accord human rights to these brave apostates and blasphers? No? It is worth watching the YouTube testimonies of these ladies on their experience of being put into hijabs age 6 and their explanation of the theology of women needing to cover up so radically. This covering signals purity and separation from the infidel world of non cover up. The non covered up are theologically impure and ‘prey’ [ See Ayan Hirsi Ali’s Kindle edition of her book Prey for a very full analysis ]. Impurity is the theological basis for the grooming gangs. Now this fact could cause westerners offence that their womenfolk are held in such contempt, theologically, by the covered up women expressing their religious morality in their full dresscode. It’s offensive, but British culture has for a long time been very un-offendable and taught to ‘suck it up’, not protest at all, the very reverse of the new morality pouring… Read more »
