“Hateful” Professor Who Insists St George’s Flag “Represents Racism, Not Patriotism” and Should be Changed

A Good Morning Britain guest has sparked outrage by claiming the St George’s flag is “racist” and should be replaced. The Mail has more.

Controversial black studies professor Kehinde Andrews, who has previously attacked Britain and the Royal Family, claimed England’s national flag was deep-rooted in racism amid a row over a “patriotic outpouring” around the country.

An online movement called ‘Operation Raise the Colours’ has led to communities across the country hanging up Union Jack and St George’s flags, including in Birmingham, London, Bradford, Newcastle and Norwich. …

Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday, Prof Andrews weighed into the nationwide debate, telling hosts Adil Ray and Kate Garraway that the history of the flag has always been problematic and “represents racism”.

Prof Andrews, Professor of Black Studies at Birmingham City University, said: “It’s not that the far-Right has co-opted the flag. It’s that we don’t understand what this country is and the history of both of these symbols.

“Both of these flags are the flags that were flown on ships that enslaved my ancestors; those are the flags that the British Army marched into places like Pakistan, India, Bengal, Africa and colonised 25% of the world.

“The reason the far-Right picks up these flags and has consistently since the 60s, 70s, since my parents’ generation have been in the country is because these flags represent the racism that they are putting out into the world.

“This campaign of putting these flags up, this is not some benign ‘let’s just be patriotic’… go and search ‘Operation Raise the Colours’ and you will find the same far-Right, Little England, this nonsense-spewing about migrant hotels… this is what it’s about.”

He added: “People aren’t putting up these flags to celebrate Britain, they’re putting up this flag to remind us that Britain is white and we shouldn’t be here.”

Prof Andrews… once declared that the late Queen Elizabeth II was “the number one symbol of white supremacy in the world” and claimed the British Empire was “far worse than the Nazis”.

Charming guy.
Still, what do we expect? He made a career out of grievance politics, he’s only going to double down on it.
And I would hazard a guess that for some reason, despite living in this horrible, racist, white-supremacist hellhole called Britain, he has no plans to move to Africa.

Or back to Jamaica, where his Leftist activist mother and father came from. They gave him the Nigerian name of Kehinde, and the South African name of Nkosi, but no Jamaican names.

To his enormous credit, he didn’t chase after a white woman to wed, but chose to marry a beautiful Ethnic African woman, though she was also an extreme Leftist activist who also made a lucrative career out of “Grievance Politics”, as you so rightly called it. They had four Ethnic African children together before she tragically died from cancer.

I reckon the Jamaican flag should be banned because of its association with drug trafficking.

“There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”

What is important to note here is that this racist, whinging perma-victim doesn’t speak for all people of colour, regardless of heritage. This is coming from the disgraceful councils, who do not speak for all people or represent their views. There are now people uploading videos, including Muslims and those with Pakistani heritage, who aren’t happy about it because they see the councils’ decision as divisive and don’t want it to reflect badly on them. I think it’s important to not tar everyone with the same brush.
What is also noteworthy is that I’m also seeing horrible, white, socialist oikophobes hating on the England flag, who stand in total contrast with people who weren’t even born in England thinking the flags should stay up. It’s always the enemy within that poses the greatest threat;

”’They’ve ripped down the England flag? Why?’

Ethnic minorities in Tower Hamlets slam the council’s ‘crazy’ decision to remove the nation’s flag from lampposts, telling @CPhilpOfficial
they are ‘proud’ of the symbol of a country that ‘gave them so much’.”

Naming and shaming one such ‘oikophobe’ here, who just so happens to be another white man in a position of leadership. It’s no good going after promotions in these jobs if you’re a patriot, it would seem. Such a thing would surely go against you, if anything; ”Turns out, Birmingham City Council and its Labour leader John Cotton have been busy with other projects: A few days ago, they quietly introduced a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) banning buskers and street preachers. In short, if a Christian wanted to go to a certain area and preach, police could now arrest and fine him/her up to £1,000. The amount of time the PSPO is in force? 3 whole years. So, in addition to ripping down Union Jack and St George flags and failing to fulfil their very basic duty to collect rubbish… They’re also depriving religious speakers of their fundamental right to free speech because some see them a nuisance. For context, PSPOs were introduced in 2014 under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act. Ministers at the time justified them by pointing to street drinking, aggressive begging, and dog fouling. What they didn’t mention was that councils would later use… Read more »

Although I agree with the sentiment of what you say, I think racial minorities who have been silent for so long and allowed this toxic leftwing culture to take hold, need to realise that unless the are prepared to stand up and be counted this will only get worse. Therefore people should double down on the current trend to force people into the real world and confront the leftwing cultural violence that has been forced upon us for the past 50 years.

The awkward historical truth is that Islam forbids castration, even of slaves, but there was another desert tribe who were happy to provide the Islamic World with castrated slaves, especially castrated White Slaves. There were three main Slave Castration Centres: Venice, Verdun, and a town in Spain whose name I can’t remember, starting with “L”.

That same desert tribe has been in control of the slave trade since ancient times. Which desert tribe do you think it is?

For a fist full of roubles

Perhaps these people would like us all, them included, to return to their traditional communities and pass up all the benefits that their so-called oppressors have brought in health, lifespan, leisure and comfort.

What a beautiful photo of all those England Flags flying all down the street!
May God bless those who put them up!

And notice how this Ethnic African Jamaican, who was given a professorship in this land that he loathes, doesn’t have any problem with Welsh Dragon flags, or the Scottish Saltire, or any other national flag.

It’s the England flag that upsets the Leftists, because it is flown from the Protestant Church of England church towers, and because it was the Flag of the Crusaders, and because everyone hates England and the English.

Speaking of changing flags, when are we going to include Wales & Northern Ireland in the Union Jack?

Northern Ireland is already included in the Union Jack in the flag of St Patrick, the red diagonal on a white ground, St Patrick being buried in Downpatrick in County Down.

Thank you for that information. I thought that cross represented Ireland, not Northern Ireland, and the Northern Irish wanted to include some symbol of their own like the Red Hand, but they were persuaded not to cause disruption to the Union Jack design.

Somebody else who didn’t read the room is Karl Perks here. What makes it worse is that he’s a Reform Councillor. Predictably he’s got a right roasting all over social media. I’m wondering how he felt about Palestine flags up lamp posts and rainbow paint jobs; ”Following recent events in Bromsgrove this weekend. Every Englishman who flies St George’s flag does so with pride. Family, communities and country is one of our biggest policies as Reform UK and locally in Worcestershire we stand by that. There are many ways that people can show their pride by flying the St George’s flag – in your own front and back gardens, on your cars, in your windows and on community buildings where agreed by the whole community. Climbing up lampposts and attaching flags to them may not be the best thing to do, mostly because it’s dangerous and could cause damage. There are no specific plans to remove the flags. What I cannot condone are acts of vandalism, costing tax payers money, this is exactly what the illegal painting of red crosses on local roundabouts will do. This act of vandalism will cost our County Council money to rectify. As the Cabinet… Read more »

I don’t think that the flag “represents racism” but my first answer would be “so what if it does?”. I would contend that racism has been pretty much the norm throughout human history. The least racist race these days is probably the white race. One of the reasons that the least racist race gets the most criticism is that white people are arguably just better at building great civilisations that benefit their citizens- something a lot of non white people apparently agree with as they move heaven and earth to enter white countries. I think the success pisses people off.

As Joseph Sobran has put it:

‘The concept of envy — the hatred of the superior — has dropped out of our moral vocabulary [and thus] the idea that white Christian civilization is hated more for its virtues than its sins doesn’t occur to us … Western man towers over the rest of the world in ways so large as to be almost inexpressible. It’s Western exploration, science, and conquest that have revealed the world to itself. Other races feel like subjects of Western power long after colonialism, imperialism and slavery have disappeared. The charge of racism puzzles whites who feel not hostility, but only baffled good will, because they don’t grasp what it [white excellence] really means [for the non-whites]: humiliation. The white man presents an image of superiority even when he isn’t conscious of it. Superiority excites envy. Destroying white civilization is the inmost desire of the league of designated victims we call ‘minorities’.’

It also shows how Envy always transforms into Hatred, and the desire to destroy the Envied Person or People or Civilization.

He was supposedly from Cappodocia, which was Christian 600 years before Islam, and the whole story of the dragon is fiction, the England flag being adopted from the Flag of Genoa.

People should forget the fictional George, and focus on the flag as a patriotic symbol of England.

The Unholy Muslim-Marxist Alliance hate the England flag because it was the Flag of the Crusaders, and because it is flown from all the church towers of the Protestant Church of England.

Bill Bailey

People like Andrew’s make a living by promoting racism and division. I doubt he would decry the atrocities Africans committed against each other in the past and the terrible conditions they force upon themselves to this day.

They will always try to stereotype people and protest loudly when it is done to them. His heritage is nothing to be proud of, his race have made almost no contribution to the betterment of mankind and this so called academic should be grateful to a country that has done more to relieve suffering and hardship than any other country in the history of mankind.

If he is so concerned about the welfare of black people I would suggest he goes to Africa and try to help Africans. The problem with that is he will just stir up hatred and that aside has no marketable skills that would be of use to anyone. He is a useless individual who contributes nothing to the betterment of mankind and exemplifies failure of the post war multi cultural experiment that has been forced upon the people of the UK and other countries.

If the flag is racist what does that make him?, his own ancestors were some of the first slave dealers, and sold many whites as well as their own, he has made an excellent “living” out of spouting his racist views, no one but no one picks their skin colour, but they do pick their attitude, I would suggest if he despises this country so much and the patriotism behind the flags, that he takes himself and all his family back to their ancestoral country, they wont be missed!!

Flags are not about race, they are about sovereignty and national allegiance. Far-right nationalists were very successful in weaponising the Flag of St George as an emblem of their racist views. It’s time for moderate, patriotic British and English people to reclaim their flags for their intended purpose. It’s time for us to stop being made to feel that we have to apologise for who we are.
