‘Vigilante’ Force to Begin Patrols in Crime-Hit Bournemouth
A ‘vigilante’ Safeguard Force of more than 200 volunteers, including ex-military personnel, security professionals and first aiders, is planning to carry out uniformed patrols in the crime-hit seaside town of Bournemouth. The Telegraph has the story.
The Dorset town has seen several stabbings and sexual assaults in recent years, including the murders of Tom Roberts, Amie Gray and Cameron Hamilton.
The group, set up by Gary Bartlett, a local businessman, has said it will “protect the most vulnerable in our town – especially women, children and the elderly”. It has vowed to work alongside Dorset Police to make the streets safer, but has yet to be endorsed by the force.
Anti-racism campaigners have claimed it will target asylum seekers staying in the town’s three migrant hotels.
Safeguard Force members have said all volunteers will be required to undergo DBS checks and first aid training, and that the group would be “non-political and inclusive”. A GoFundMe campaign to buy body cameras, stab vests and radios has raised over £3,000.
In addition to patrols, the group is developing a mobile Safeguard App – an SOS-style tool to allow people to quickly request help if they feel vulnerable in public.
Volunteers are set to carry out their first patrols on Monday, which will focus on Bournemouth and Boscombe, including the areas’ beaches and gardens.
Mr Bartlett said: “We’re here to support our community and work alongside the police to make Dorset a safer place for everyone.
“Our volunteers have no more legal powers than any member of the public. We are not a vigilante group, and we do not engage in any unlawful activity.”
Mr Bartlett declined to explain whether the volunteers would physically intervene if they saw criminal acts taking place.
Dorset Police confirmed that it was aware of the group and had begun discussions with its organisers while assessing “any risks and opportunities” it might bring to the area.

To me the current state of Bournemouth is emblematic of the shittification of Britain more generally. I doubt there is anyone alive who remembers the glory days of, say, Bradford, but within living memory Bournemouth was tidy, green, prosperous. Now it is as seedy as some of the worst towns in the country. I wish these volunteers well.
When I was a kid and we used to get the Sunday papers, Bournemouth was always the beach pictured during the summer when there was a ‘heat wave’. I don’t know why but it was always Bournemouth, with pictures of lots of happy Brits soaking up the sun. I’m sure it’s not just selective amnesia or nostalgia, but I never remember Bournemouth’s reputation being one of sex crimes like it is now. It used to be a place people wanted to go on ‘staycation’. Now I think its reputation is repelling visitors.
Meanwhile, this is Southend-on-Sea;

Is that link seriously Southend…I’m having trouble processing that.
Haha, it does look like a typical British summer’s day at the coast, though. We need somebody from down that way to verify this, I think.
stayed there last year on a golf holiday. Far less salubrious than I imagined it.
That and the constant ruddy roadworks where BCP are putting in new cycle lanes – some as wide as the wretched road. Costing millions. Mindless. My other half was born and brought up in Bournemouth. He’s appalled at what it has become. And don’t get me going about the hotels…many used for asylum seekers. Just awful, awful.
I took the kids down to Christchurch in Dorset for a week about six years ago. We went into Bournemouth for a day. I quickly realised what a shithole it was, and left soon afterwards.
The hatred I feel for the politicians of all colours who have caused this is very strong. I’m uncomfortable with the strength and depth of feeling I have towards the traitors.
The next move in the inevitable endgame.
Sideline the useless state.
Bring it on, and chapeau, guys best of luck!
Yes was just thinking that government has become a parasite on society, sucking out the goodness and giving nothing in return. We have to go back to local self organisation.

They’re not anti-racism campaigners. They are anti-whitists and anglophobes cloaking themselves in fake anti-racism.
I imagine these “campaigners”, dont actually have to live there, and are probably from nice leafy politician inhabited streets
I thought they’re probably the PR squad from Stand Up Against Racism.
Literally any group apart from ”white English” can apply for these positions. Even ”white other”, which just means part of the travelling community, is welcome, but not bog standard indigenous whities;
”NEW – UK’s intelligence services re-open summer internship where no White English can apply.”

Doesn’t this just say it all about 1) the state of British police forces, and 2) the general state the country’s in courtesy of mass migration? Major respect for the people doing this but it really shouldn’t be necessary and I think it just comes across as a massive failure as far as government policy goes. The public should not be doing the job of the police, while they go off and scour social media for ‘naughty’ posts, harass Christian preachers and Reform supporters or use huge resources on the recurring protests we see week in, week out. Also many of these migrants carry knives so they also want to be careful. This is an interesting thread about migrant hotels; ”1. THE SCALE The government always fake figures. They tell us it’s “25,000 a year”. Nonsense. Here’s the real numbers: – 175,000+ small boat arrivals since 2018 – 500,000+ asylum seekers & refugees now living in the UK – 109,500+ waiting for a decision – 97%+ are never removed Once you arrive, you stay. Very few are ever deported. The hotel contracts keep rolling. The backlog gets bigger. The scale of this is HUGE. It’s not a temporary issue that’s… Read more »
4. THE CORRUPTION Three players get the hotel / security contracts: – Serco – Mears – Clearsprings £380M+ profit since 2019 Publicly funded, privately profitable. The longer it goes on, the more money they make. The country now relies on them, so we’re held to ransom for it. These companies want things to be as bad as possible: – More arrivals? More rooms. – Delayed application? Longer stays. – Protests outside? More security. – Overcrowded? Emergency surge pricing. EVERY FAILURE = MORE PROFIT! The worse the crisis gets, the better the contracts perform. 5. THE DANGER These hotels are often next to small towns, schools, care homes, shopping centres etc, which are not equipped to deal with large unvetted groups of criminal men. How do we know they’re criminals? They broke the law to enter the country illegally! Not a good start. – 339 criminal charges in 6 months. 8,000+ since 2019! – Crimes include rape, arson, robbery, GBH, theft. – In 2025 alone: 1 in 50 hotel migrants appeared in court… 1,000+ court appearances in 20 weeks! – For Brits, it’s 1 in 300. – 1 in 8 UK prisoners are a foreign national. 6. THE REAL COST 2019… Read more »
I think you’ll find that the “temporary” income tax introduced to fund the napoleonic wars may be longer but your point is valid. Once something is introduced, it’s difficult to remove.
Those volunteers will he very much appreciated and needed. In the past we would visit every summer and sporadically throughout the year to conduct business there. No more. It is dangerous in the day let alone at night. The nail in the coffin was when a friend’s son was sexually assaulted on a night out. The group of men were not English speaking – make of that what you will. Never did see the story in the papers or mentioned on local news. We have not been back for 4 years now and have no intention of visiting any time soon.
This is 4mins of Charlotte Gill talking about how school kids are making Valentines cards for migrants. Clearly unethical and warped, these kids are having their innocence and naivety politicized and weaponized to push an agenda, and evidently the teaching staff are fully onboard with this;
https://x.com/CharlotteCGill/status/1953507505394307192
Thats really warped. That makes kids even more vulnerable when they still think of these blokes as victims.
Maybe they should include a message.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Underage girls
Shouldn’t be targeted by you
Or maybe.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Fuck off back to where you came from
And take your friends with you.
The Guardian Angles (Jutes and Saxons welcome).
Hopefully it’ll target ‘anti-racism’ campaigners, painfully, down dark alleyways.
Never been, won’t bother.
“Anti-racism campaigners” is a very unhelpful descriptor. It implies fault in those they protest about. A better one might be “pro-open borders campaigners” which is more their stance. However, to reverse the negative it could be “anti-safe streets campaigners”. There’s a lot of psychological baggage in a descriptor and the Telegraph should be less naive about it.
That really bugs me too because they’re using the language of the enemy, and in so doing they’re labeling the good people, that are out protesting, as racists, reducing their legitimate concerns down to that of the skin colour of the migrants. It’s a slur, pure and simple, but we’re used to these underhand tactics, such as being labeled as ‘right wing extremist’ if you oppose government policy.
But you will notice a distinct lack of non-white faces among these socialist ‘stand up for rapists’ oikophobes. If the concern is legitimately racism, where are all the brown faces demonstrating how offended they are about the ‘racism’ allegedly being displayed by the concerned citizens? We’re meant to believe that the 99.99% whities are speaking on behalf of their brown counterparts, who are consistently absent? The ‘anti-racism’ cover is as fake as the ‘pro-Palestine’ one.
I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of this springing up over the UK. It’s infuriating that it’s necessary since we already pay a government and a Police ‘service’ to do this work
20 years ago, Bournemouth was a genteel seaside town.
10 years ago it was still a nice destination for a holiday or day out.
Now it’s becoming a scruffy and increasingly dangerous dump. And that has coincided with enforced “diversity / enrichment” and in particular, with the arrival of large numbers of criminal migrants.
A theme reproduced right across the country
I am trying to find the GFM link for this to donate…but instead came across this….yes…there are people actually donating to it….BBC R2 is mentioned….. I despair…. https://www.gofundme.com/f/buy-a-new-rnli-hovercraft-called-the-flying-farage
Anti-racism campaigners have claimed it will target asylum seekers staying in the town’s three migrant hotels.
One could almost think these anti-racism campaigners knew that any attempt at to make the streets safer must lead to run-ins with the people occupying the abovementioned places and that they’re proactively putting a cover narrative into place.
It is frustrating to pay so much tax but not receive adequate policing. Looks like these people have had enough.
Have they been called a ‘far right mob’ yet?
