‘The Netherlands and 40 other OSCE member states have formally called for an independent investigation into the alleged torture and mistreatment of Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russian forces….
“By invoking this so-called ‘Moscow Mechanism’, the Netherlands and partnering countries contribute to truth-finding and accountability for Russian war crimes in Ukraine”
Or do they?
Find out the truth, that is.
‘A 2024 U.N. report found that 95% of released Ukrainian POWs had endured “systematic” torture and ill-treatment. Prisoners described beatings, electric shocks, suffocation, sexual violence, prolonged stress positions, mock executions and sleep deprivation.
“This conduct could not be more unlawful,” said Danielle Bell, the U.N.’s top human rights monitor in Ukraine.
Earlier this year, Amnesty International documented widespread torture of Ukrainian POWs in Russia. Its report was especially critical of Russia’s secrecy regarding the whereabouts and condition of POWs, saying it refused to grant rights groups or health workers access to its prisons, leaving families in the dark for months or years about their loved ones.’

Sorry, don’t give a flying f*** about russia or Ukraine, far bigger fish in the British Isles to concentrate on!
‘Russia has hardened as an adversary in ways that we probably hadn’t fully anticipated,” Dr Hill told The Guardian, concluding that “Russia is at war with us”.
“Saying ‘Islamist’ is discriminatory, said group training civil servants”
So they’re saying that the raping, burning and beheading whilst yelling “Allahu akbar” is just Islam?
These disgusting vermin, who demonstrably do not belong in civilized society, are out celebrating the slaughter of the Druze in Syria. ‘Suicidal empathy’ at it’s finest, but decent folk are expected to tolerate this because ‘freedom of speech’. Well, it certainly makes their job of ‘Islamizing’ Germany a whole lot easier; ”In front of Berlin’s Rotes Rathaus (Red City Hall), the seat of the city’s mayor, nearly 400 men—many of them reportedly Syrian refugees—publicly celebrated the recent massacres committed against the Druze community in Syria. Eyewitnesses report that chants included “Out with the Druze!” and “Today we liberate Suweida, we will break the Druze,” along with calls for rape, murder, and ethnic cleansing. Although 65 police officers were present at the scene, they did not intervene. The Druze are an indigenous religious minority in the Levant, primarily in Syria, Lebanon, and Israel. Fiercely opposed to radical Islam, they have historically suffered persecution by groups linked to Al Qaeda and the Islamic State. In Suweida, southern Syria, recent reports have documented massacres of Druze civilians by jihadist groups, including abductions, executions, and sexual violence, as reported by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and regional media outlets. According to Eurostat, between 2015 and 2023, Germany received… Read more »
I rather like the fact that German for City Hall is, apparently ‘RatHaus’. It seems apt, somehow…
“Israeli settlers burn West Bank’s last Christian town”
Others on the ground say the church is still there, that the Arab Christian village is surrounded by three hostile Muslim ones, and that there is a history of fires being set in local fields to deny pasture to Israeli herdsmen.
Fog of war and all that, but the church is either burnt down or not – and if not, the mainstream reports are … not disinterested.
The amount of spin and outright fabrication on this story is just unreal. It’s now on a par with the non-existent ‘genocide’ or ‘starvation’ going on in Gaza. Easily debunked but the Israel-haters will always cry ”Zionist propaganda!”, but what can you do with such a denialist mindset? ”Over the weekend, multiple media outlets—including CBS, NBC, the Associated Press, and Reuters—breathlessly reported that Jewish terrorists had carried out an arson attack on historic church ruins in the West Bank town of Taybeh. The problem? There was no fire in the church. More tellingly, beyond conclusory allegations by partisan sources, the only concrete evidence of Jewish involvement shows Israeli settlers rushing to extinguish a nearby fire which was reportedly also threatening an Israeli farmer’s land. The disheartening coverage raises the question: did any of the journalists involved practice any actual journalism? Media Misrepresentation Consider how the story was reported. CBS stated: “the village of Taybeh was hit by an arson attack…Residents blamed settlers for the fire…” Reuters described “an attack on a Palestinian church in the occupied West Bank blamed on Israeli settlers,” adding that “clerics said Israeli settlers had started a fire near a cemetery and a 5th-century church.” The Associated Press covered “an incident last week when settlers set fires near… Read more »
“Second police force in row over escorting pro-migrant protesters”
Antifa protesters being escorted close to a rally in London might have been an anomaly. Two police forces bussing in counter-protestors from outside the area is clearly a strategy.
But it is not a strategy you would expect from the traditional British concept of the police as a uniformed part of local society supporting the law-abiding population. It is instead nothing but top-down political deception to suppress the local population, and as such will certainly add more dry tinder and sparks to the unrest brewing across the country.
I thought the evasiveness of the Essex Chief Constable could have been due to others controlling the police policy in Epping. When he said it was not for him to enquire into matters he was asked about perhaps that was literally correcy. If Whitehall is running the show he is likely just a stool pigeon.
It was several days ago that I speculated on one site or another that escorting in (and bussing away) extreme left wing violent demonstrators from London to attend a peaceful local protest in Epping might be a state strategy. Either they hoped the left would intimidate the locals to stay away or else violence would kick-off and arrests could be made.
As with other serious problems in recent years, this is all speculation because the authorities refuse to be open with the public. Clearly they don’t like or trust us any more than we feel about them.
“all speculation because the authorities refuse to be open with the public. Clearly they don’t like or trust us any more than we feel about them.”
The authorities are hardly likely to admit to bussing rent-a-mobs around the country.
Which of course is in itself the proof that they are not governing, but tyrannising.
I scan the above every morning, sharing anything salient with my prayer group.
An observation: you look at these headlines thinking they can’t get worse, but a week later they have.
When men give up on God, God gives up on men.
“The police can’t cope with another summer of fury over asylum hotels” Perhaps they shouldn’t facilitate the presence of “anti-facist” counter-protesters at the hotals. It inevitably stirs up aggression.
And maybe there ought to be blanket orders banning the wearing of masks.
The sad fact is that the authorities do want a big kick-off in order to implement more dictatorial measures such as possibly lockdowns in specific towns, digital ID, curfews etc. What the current constabulary could not cope with is numerous uprisings sporadically placed across the country or even a series of guerilla ventures. At some point I believe they will have to mobilise the soldiers they have imported but at that point they will have lost the battle.
Police numbers wise there simply are not enough plod to cope with cross country and seemingly random conflagrations, they would rapidly be overwhelmed. Which is probably why our Army has been undertaking training for Civil War.
“Britain will benefit from Indian migrants, says Modi” Modi said that opening doors for Indian workers to come to Britain will open doors for all the British workers wanting to go to India!!! (eye roll) Some public comments: — “Knowing what a lying traitor Starmer is, he’s probably given away 3 million British visas in exchange for a pack of poppadoms.” — “More BS from Starmer. If these so-called workers were any good, they would be kept in India. Suppose they’re bringing a massive family with them, never to return.” — “What a wonderful deal for INDIA” — “What a bad, useless, empty-headed spineless jelly fish. He knows thousands of Afghans have been imported secretly, now he’s inviting the rest of the Third World over .. Can we just sack this bunch of cretins.” — “Why do we need more people from India or anywhere else undercutting British worker’s wages?” — “India has been working for years to get an open door for their people to come to the UK, this has been delayed by governments for a Reason. NOW this fool has OPENED the door for a measly 5 billion trade, that will Cost Britain far more in the… Read more »
“If there’s anything the Tories should be united on, it’s leaving the ECHR”
After comparing herself to Margaret Thatcher, the Nigerian Birth Tourist has just declared that she is equivalent to Argentina’s President Javier Milei. :/
She also referred to herself as a QUEEN, being used to that kind of thing in her ancestral homeland as a member of the Adegoke Royal Caste, by outrageously dismissing attempts to replace her as “REGICIDE”. The woman is a narcissistic psychopath. Wake up, you idiot Tories!
“Badenoch dismissed Westminster talk that time was running out on her leadership.
“I CAN’T SPEND ALL MY TIME WORRYING ABOUT REGICIDE. I would lose my mind,” she said, adding: “I’m so thick-skinned to the point where I don’t even notice if people are trying to create harm. That’s extremely useful in this job.”
Tory leader Kemi Badenoch says she is Britain’s Javier Milei
