Covid Vaccines Saved Far Fewer Lives Than Claimed by WHO, Major New Study Finds
Covid vaccines saved far fewer lives than first thought, a major new analysis from Stanford’s Professor John Ioannidis and team has concluded – closer to 2.5 million than the 14 million claimed by the WHO in 2022. The Telegraph has more.
In 2024, the World Health Organisation (WHO) claimed that jabs prevented the deaths of 14.4 million globally in the first year alone, with some estimates putting the figure closer to 20 million.
However, new modelling by Stanford University and Italian researchers suggests that while the vaccine did undoubtedly save lives, the true figure is “substantially more conservative” and closer to 2.5 million worldwide over the course of the entire pandemic.
The team estimated that nine of 10 prevented deaths were in the over-60s, with jabs saving just 299 youngsters aged under 20, and 1,808 people aged between 20 and 30 globally.
Overall 5,400 people needed to be vaccinated to save one life but in the under-30s this figure rose to 100,000 jabs, the paper suggests.
Researchers criticised “aggressive mandates and the zealotry to vaccinate everyone at all cost”, adding that the findings had implications for how future vaccine rollouts are handled.
John Ioannidis, Professor of Medicine at Stanford University and the first author, said: “I think early estimates were based on many parameters having values that are incompatible with our current understanding.
“In principle, targeting the populations who would get the vast majority of the benefit and letting alone those with questionable risk-benefit and cost-benefit makes a lot of sense.
“Aggressive mandates and the zealotry to vaccinate everyone at all cost were probably a bad idea.”Since 2021, more than 13 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered.
But there have been mounting concerns that vaccines could be harmful for some people, particularly the young, and that the risk was not worth the benefit for a population at little risk from Covid.
More than 17,500 Britons have applied to the Government’s vaccine damage payment scheme believing they or loved ones were injured by the jab.
In June, manufacturers added warnings for myocarditis and pericarditis to Covid-19 messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines’ prescribing information.
For the new study, experts used worldwide population data, alongside vaccine effectiveness and infection fatality rates, to estimate how many people died from a Covid infection before or after the periods of vaccination.
The team believes earlier modelling may have used overly pessimistic infection fatality rates and overly optimistic vaccine effectiveness, while failing to consider how quickly protection waned.
Earlier studies may also have underestimated how many people had already been unknowingly infected by the time they had the vaccine.

Of course, some would dispute that the Covid vaccines saved any lives, arguing there’s no signal of reduced mortality in the big picture data.
But at least the new study doesn’t repeat the WHO/Imperial study’s ludicrous modelling of hypothetically prevented Covid deaths, which looked something like this.

I doubt they were deliberately trying to kill us, but they didn’t particularly care if that was the result.
It’s looking to be simply greed and an urge to impose sweeping controls to ensure we oblige by being willing cash cows.
The argument about whether there was actually a virus rumbles on, but it was the opportunity of a lifetime to get mrna jabs on the schedule, despite it killing all the ferrets.

I’m pretty sure I caught the bloody bug for the second time a couple of months ago. Horrible persistent cough and very nasty sore throat. Very unusual for me. My first encounter was in Dec 2019-Jan 2020. I think there’s a real bug and I think it was very widespread. Call the damn thing Covid or not as you please.
The bug gives us a nasty cold and that’s enough to see off frail old people – but that’s not me… yet.
In the UK we had very low mortality among vulnerable/old folk from Spring/Summer 2018 right through to March 2020 which left a lot of crumblies teetering on the edge. From April 2020 they were nearly all tipped over.

There WAS an illness. It affected people differently, depending on their age and their state of health. My cousin died of it. He was in his late 50s, a little overweight, but not significantly. He had no known medical/health issues and was taking no medications. He and his family caught the bug whilst on holiday in Cornwall. They recovered; he didn’t. (They were all unjabbed).
I suspect it was his occupation which prevented him from recovering. He was a professional photographer and, over decades, would have spent a lot of time indoors and in his dark room. I suspect he was severely Vit D deficient.
An “ordinary” flu-type bug would not usually kill a healthy, reasonably fit middle aged man in 5 days.
This is very sad, but do you know if he was treated in hospital and what they gave him? I heard of a couple of similar cases, but they all died in hospital and were given Remdesivir, which I believe can shut down the kidneys. Those who were treated this way were usually unvaccinated, so it’s almost as if the medics wanted those people to die to prove a point.
No, he died at home. They didn’t call on the medical authorities until he was near the end. It all happened very quickly as as I said, his wife and daughter were also ill, but recovered … after his death.

Sorry to hear this. No doubt there is/was something going round that affected people’s immune systems. One theory apart from the viral one, was a toxic aerosol released in specific locations. Disease and how we become ill is still very much up for discussion. Stress has an enormous part to play in weakening the immune system. If governments generate fear what can they expect if people succumbed to their fear based propaganda.
Your theory about vitamin D deficiency is very plausible – some people did die of this thing but in real terms not very many. The weird thing about the Covid panic was the distortion of news reporting; the same number could probably normally ‘sadlydie’ (anyone remember that?) in a bad flu season. The death figures per week were not compared with average numbers of expected deaths so of course it looked cataclysmic when devoid of context.
Engler, Neil, Hockett et al stoutly maintain that there was nothing exceptional going round at that time other than a propaganda campaign; I dunno. I’m watching from the ringside with an open mind, although I remember having a shocking bad cold in Dec 2019 and it took me until 2022 to catch the ‘rona.

2. How many is it going to kill.
3 How many are suffering from the oh so very predictable onset of auto immune “diseases” ( They are not auto immune diseases, they are solely the result of the immune system being trashed by mmRNA.).

The Covid jabs harmed more than it saved.
There are many studies, articles and papers showing this.
We know they also killed lots of people, and have affected fertility and sk prevented many births and many conceptions, mostly of course in younger people, so any true analysis should consider the QUALY saved or lost.
I’d bet my dogs that the net figure is heavily negative.
As I have said repeatedly, the concept of a “covid death” seems like nonsense to me. “Covid” seems to have a list of symptoms as long as your arm, which looks very much like lots of other “illnesses” called colds and flu and general unwellness. There was a “covid test” which apparently was used in a way not recommended by the person who developed the approach, and there were “covid deaths” where the only criteria was a “positive test” and “death”. Other than probably all-cause mortality, I don’t trust the numbers. The “vaccines” (which appear to me to be nothing like anything previously understood to be a vaccine) were broadly understood and marketed to the less vulnerable as a way of “stopping the spread” and “saving granny” despite even the manufacturers never claiming they would do any such thing, which of course they did not. From the start there were people saying exactly the things they now claim were only known in hindsight. For any other product, posters like the ones promoting it’s use are usually banned. And they have been pretty flexible about issuing death certificates with Covid-19 on them. A while back, I suggested they should be called Shipman certificates, after the late mass murderer Harold Shipman. He would have loved it, and might never have been prosecuted, after all.

It has been very clear from day 1 that the younger cohort was not at risk and injecting them with a mRNA product without knowing long-term outcomes was always reckless.
These products should have been taken off the market (maybe better never have been on the market) years ago.
In many cases, they didn’t save a life: they just slightly delayed an imminent death since the person “saved” was elderly and already knocking on Heaven’s door.
