Antisemitism Rife in UK Schools
Antisemitism is on the rise in UK schools, with over half of Jewish teachers saying they’ve faced abuse, from swastika graffiti to slurs and chants of “f— the Jews”. The Telegraph has the story.
One Jewish teacher said: “On multiple occasions, students have shouted ‘free Palestine’ at me. On another occasion, someone shouted ‘f— the Jews’ outside a meeting of Jewish students.”
The findings were revealed in a survey of Jewish teachers by the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT), which has more than 300,000 members.
It comes after a Government-backed report found that antisemitism has been normalised in middle-class Britain.
The survey found that 51% of Jewish teachers had experienced antisemitism in their schools since May 2023. A total of 44% reported swastika graffiti appearing at their school since May 2023, and 39% have witnessed or been subject to Nazi-related comments.
Jewish teaching staff reported being told “it’s not racist to say Jews are rich – it’s just a fact”, while others have faced assumptions that they are Israeli and not British citizens.
The rise in the abuse is being fuelled by “dangerous” rhetoric from the far-Right and misinformation on social media, according to Matt Wrack, the acting NASUWT general secretary.
But the union’s response has been criticised for failing to address antisemitism from far-Left or Islamist groups in the aftermath of the October 7th Hamas terror attack on Israel. …
A third of respondents to the union’s survey said they did not feel they could report antisemitism to their employers. Just over half of those Jewish teachers who did report antisemitic comments and graffiti said their reports were not properly handled.
The survey also found that 56% of Jewish teachers reported that antisemitism included abusive “jokes and banter” about Jews.
Nearly half (47%) reported insults and taunts and 79% of respondents working in non-faith schools said they had experienced antisemitism, compared to 29% of respondents working in faith schools. …
Last week a report commissioned by the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the country’s largest Jewish community organisation, found antisemitism to be pervasive in the NHS, at universities and in the arts.

Can you imagine the outcry if a fraction of this was directed towards black people?
For weeks, it would be on top of the news.
The BBC would have special programs dedicated to analyzing every aspect of it. Various black “community leaders” and activists would explain how rotten our society is and how we should all fight against this evil.

Your last sentence is true.The IDF have killed/murdered at least 50,000 Palestinians since October 2023 – and God knows how many before that.

My mum was born in 1939, in Eastern Europe, in a small town of about 30,000, with a few thousand Jews.
My grandmother worked in a farm shop owned by a Jewish family.
My grandfather worked for the local railway company, and the family lived right next to the railway station.
So, in 1944 the Germans turned up. They rounded up all the Jews, my mum saw them walking to the railway station and get on the trains.
None of them were seen again.
Where, pray tell me, did they go?
So, you know what, I don’t claim to be objective. Nobody is. The whole Gaza situation is an unresolvable shitshow. But no, I won’t be antisemitic. I feel sorry for the Jews, if for no other reason, because my mum saw them, as a five year old, being rounded up and put on trains.

If your mum had been born eleven years earlier, a little further east in Ukraine, she would have seen the emaciated bodies of Christian Ukrainians lying in the streets, in the fields and on the farms during the Ukrainian Holodomor. Twelve Million of them, deliberately starved to death by the Bolsheviks Stalin sent to crush the peasant farmers for refusing to give their land to the Stalinist Collective. Hardly a mention of them is ever made in the West.

The same ones who slaughtered the Christian Russian Royal Family, dynamited at least 600 Christian churches in Russia and murdered 12,000 clergy: “shot, beaten to death, hanged or drowned—and a secret 1930 police report put the number of Orthodox clergy who had died in prison camps at 42,800.” The same “Bolsheviks” that Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote about as controlling the Soviet Gulags where he was imprisoned. He said they were not Russian. Who were they, then? I think you know the answer.
I’m fully aware of the horrors of Stalinism – hey, I lived in a communist country for the first 24 years of my life, so I can claim some first-hand experience.
I also understand what you are alluding to and I also know that a lot of the communist leaders were secular Jews.
But no, I don’t believe in Jewish conspiracy theories. Besides, I don’t understand what your point is? That the holocaust didn’t happen? Or that the Jews deserved it? Or that all the NKVD soldiers were zionists?
My point is that The Holocaust Against 6 Million Jews has been publicised throughout the world ever since it happened. There is even a Holocaust Memorial being built right next to the UK Parliament to remind us all, even though there was No Holocaust in Britain, and thousands of Brits & Yanks, Canucks, Aussies, Kiwis & other Ethnic Europeans sacrificed life and limb to save the Jews from Hitler. Why would we need reminding, as if we were somehow “guilty”?

This may be a story you’ve truly been told. But the details are seriously questionable, not the least because the canonical story claims the German had already deported and murdered all Jews in the territories that had conquered years before 1944.
Nope, the story is not my mum’s imagination.
The deportation of the Jews in that particular town, in that particular country only started in 1944, as that particular country was Germany’s ally.
This is all well documented.
But you’re extremely careful to avoid any details about this “all well-documented” situation and report hearsay about beliefs of five year old girls of 81 years ago instead, textually linking that to “Gaza”
for reason only known to you as it has certainly no relation to it.
If you meant to report about historical facts or at least well-documented hearsay – the usual “eye witness accounts” which always have to serve in lieu of written or archeological sources as there aren’t any – you certainly managed to botch that spectacularly.
I could supply some guesses here regarding what you could be alluding to, but since I consider this omission of any identifiable details so that readers can make up their own a well-established tactic to make something out of nothing, I won’t.
In any case, none of this is of any relevance for reported behaviour of (probably mostly muslim) children in British schools of today or “Gaza”. Both are about entirely different groups of people with entirely different agendas/ motivations and 4/5 of a century later.
What happend in October 2023? Why won’t you answer? Because the facts are too inconvenient for you to express? There is blame on both sides, but that event was the ultimate catalyst for the current conflict.
I did answer, 1948 being when modern Israel was created bowing down to demands from Zionists. Hamas arose in 1987, some say it was Israel that helped, and or the fact that Palestinians maybe got a bit fed up of being killed.
Been going rather well since then has it not.
Blame on both sides? Yes, but just look at the relative death score, – it helps being the 51st State of the USA.
Some say October 2023 was a false flag – on the basis that it was unbelievable that a border so guarded could possibly have been breached without warning (plenty of this on Google).
I’ve no idea if there’s truth in that, but my “antisemetic stance” is mainly on the basis that I’ve always supported the underdog – just look at the Palestinian death toll.
If the IDF nowadays kills more Palestinians than muslim of Arab descent kill Jews in Israel, that’s entirely because of historical accidents and certainly not for want of good intentions. The moment the British mandate over Palestine formally ended, a concentric invasion of the territory of present Israel from all its Arabic neighbours took place and if this had succeeded, the Jews had been driven out of this place. At least the surviving Jews.
There is simply no “good” and no “bad” side in this conflict. Just different peoples laying claim to the same territory for more-or-less good reasons and trying to sort this out by violence against “the others.”
History shows that so-called ‘Palestine’ or ‘Phaelestina’, was given its name by the occupying Romans in the second century AD as an insult to the resident Jews who, by the way, had lived in the region for 2000 years and were the only ethnic people to have their own kingdom. There is no such thing as a ‘Palestinian’ – it’s a term invented by Arafat in the 60s to promote the myth that Palestine was always some kind of self-governing state.
So what happened in 1948? The Arabs rejected the League of Nations/UN Resolution (181) for a two-state solution – not the first time – instead vowing to ‘wipe Israel off the map’ on the first day of its existence. One year later, bloody-nosed, they retreated, leaving the West Bank and Gaza occupied by Jordan and Egypt respectively.
Then came 1967 and another attempt to wipe Israel off the map, etc…
They went to war.
Excellent – but there are still plenty more left.

This will be just one of the agendas left wing teachers (ie most of them) will teach to 15+ year olds especially in the run-up to General Elections , Council elections (when again permitted) and by-elections.
