Pro-Palestine Protesters March Through London Waving Iranian Flags
Pro-Palestine protesters marched through London on Saturday waving Iranian flags and chanting “stop bombing Iran”. The Telegraph has more.
Large crowds gathered in Parliament Square waving Palestinian and Iranian flags, while also demanding an end to the bombing in Gaza.
Protesters urged the Government to halt all military support for Israel and lobby the country to de-escalate its actions in the Middle East.
It comes after Israel launched a series of air strikes against nuclear and military sites in Iran on Thursday night.
Tehran then struck back on Friday with missile attacks on Tel Aviv.
The Palestine Solidarity Campaign announced an emergency protest earlier in the week which it publicised on social media, titled: ‘Emergency Protest: Stop Bombing Iran – Stop Arming Israel.’
In a post on X, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign shared a video which showed a large crowd chanting outside the houses of Parliament.
A post read: “Thousands in Parliament Square demanding our Government stop arming Israel and pressure it to stop bombing Iran and end its genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.”
Protesters also held placards which read “don’t attack Iran” amid other banners which read “stop arming Israel” and “ceasefire now”.
An Instagram caption from the group read: “As it commits genocide against the Palestinians, Israel is now bombing Iran. Join us to demand our Government stop arming genocidal Israel.”
In case you had any remaining doubt about whose side they were on. Something about the idea of a nuclear-armed Iran must appeal to them…

It’s the Persians I feel sorry for – rise up against the upstart mohamedans.
Regrettably true that the west made Iran into an enemy by installing the shah it’s been downhill ever since.
To be fair, the West has tried many times to manufacture a peaceful situation in the Middle East, usually ending in violence and death on an industrial scale. Perhaps we should stop trying to get involved, and leave them to it to find their own peace.
I guess the concern has always been the oil supply, and keeping it flowing
All those down votes! Who are you who think that CIA and MI6 meddling in other countries’ affairs has been anything other than disastrous (and of course I’d include also the KGB and the chicoms)?
I agree only as far as the Western support for Reza Shah encouraged him to modernise too fast, playing into the hands of the mediaeval Clerics. Forseeable perhaps but my many Iranian friends and acquaintances see the current regime as loathsome. Except my 3 flat mates in 1979 who flew back there hoping for a land of equality and were never heard of again
Are there any protests being organised by Iranians any where? This lot were simply adding Iran to their grievance list against Israel. The Iranian diaspora largely support Israeli objectives. Get rid of the Mullahs.
What! I didn’t expect this at all.
And with lovely printed placards too, totally different to the lovely printed placards for the other protests.
Total shock.
Hot from the Socialist Worker printing presses…
How can there be a ‘Socialist worker’? Most socialists are so busy protesting against everything and anything Western that they don’t have time to work.
And claiming benefits.
Nor any sense of obligation to contribute according to their means as their hero suggested.
Very professional indeed aren’t they…
Nothing new to say about these vile people, they’re all sick in the head and I think they’d all be much better off and happier ( judging by their continuous support of such authoritarian regimes/terrorist organizations and hatred of the West and Israel ) if they could just be shipped off collectively to their terrorist-riddled, totalitarian-ran country of choice. They do not deserve to live in our countries, enjoy the rights and liberties they’re afforded but exploit our so-called democracy and rights to freedom of speech/expression in order to continually demonstrate their allegiance to the very countries where such rights are non-existent. The absolutely horrific treatment and persecution of the Iranian people at the hands of the sadistic Islamic Republic these last 4+ decades is well known but these evil bastards are supportive of that? I hope Israel continue to bomb the living shit out of these sadistic regime members, and they’re doing a grand job of it so far, with a senior commander of the Houthis being the latest ( yet to be confirmed ). John Spencer knows what’s what; ”I wish the media would stop calling this a “tit for tat” between Israel and Iran. It’s not even… Read more »
I agree – round them all up and deport them to some totalitarian shithole, well one worse than here.
Absolutely spot on.
It’s typical of the woke brigade that there’s women waving the flag of a country that arrests women, at least one then died in police custody, who dare to challenge discriminatory dress codes for women.
It seems we’ve imported every war in the world into the UK.
Pro-Palestine protesters marched through London on Saturday … chanting “stop bombing Iran” Is there supposed to be something reprehensible in such an action? As Simplicius reported, The Israeli rogue state added another of its neighbors to the long list of regional nations it is currently bombing. From Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, international waters, and now Iran – Israel now bombs them all with impunity while crying out about its own ‘security’. And this “rogue state” is in possession of atomic weapons while somehow being exempt from any IAEA monitoring or nuclear agreements? What some people on this website call “God’s chosen people”, are allowed to commit all these massive, international crimes and there is never a word of criticism from our media? On the contrary, it appears. “In case you had any remaining doubt about whose side they [people protesting for peace] were on. Something about the idea of a nuclear-armed Iran must appeal to them…” How about, firstly, disarming the extremely violent, ‘rogue’ State of Israel? How about telling this rogue state that all of its problems are of its own making? How about telling it the world yearns for peace and not war, that the world is… Read more »
A bit ‘hard of thinking’, aren’t you? Your bigotry is in fine fettle though.
Totally agree 👍 what gives Israel the right to bomb other countries. Yes Iran is an issue with its nuclear programme but there should be other ways to deal with it. Imagine if Iran had attacked Israel first – we wouldn’t hear the end of it
So what gives any country any right to bomb another?
Possession of aircraft etc capable of executing such an attack. In case you were looking for a moral right, this depends heavily on whose god you prefer as both parties ultimately point to the will of a god as justification for their actions.
It’s a bit unclear who “attacked first” because this has been going on for a long time. But there were certainly Iranian cruise missile attacks in Israel before the current attack on Iran.
Iran has been attacking Israel for decades through its terrorist proxies.
Pity to waste the flags and scarves
So whilst Iranians have for years demonstrated against the regime, here, non-Iranians marsh in support of it.
Psychotic.
And as if by magic thousands of Iranian flags appear. Didn’t know that Amazon stocked them in such numbers.
I find it highly amusing that these protesters are supporting a regime that would not tolerate their actions. Do they not know that the women amongst them would likely be imprisoned (or worse) simply because they are in public, unsupervised and uncovered. And that the gays (I mean gays for Palestine, come on FFS) amongst their number would be most unwelcome on the streets of Iran. These people are deluded idiots, but if that’s what they want they are free to take up residence in any country of their choosing. I would even help them pack!
A nuclear armed Iran would be – as such – exactly as irrelevant as all the other nuclear powers already are. This includes India and Pakistan, BTW, which don’t exactly have a peaceful relationship with each other. Nuclear warheads aren’t really good for anything except mass slaughter of civilians and mass destruction of civil infrastructure. And that’s not really good for anything, except stoking some people’s armchair bloodlust.
These folk wouldn’t have lives if there were nothing new to protest.
How many have jobs, how many are on the State payroll, how many with jobs that produce nothing?
