Plebeians Can No Longer Rant About Bloody Murder
This is about a story that has come up again in the last few days, that Laurie Wastell has written about, and that Toby Young and the Free Speech Union have been involved in.
A woman on July 29th 2024 heard of a murder. The murder was of three children. It was rumoured that the murderer was an illegal immigrant. He was not, but his identity was at first concealed, fuelling the rumours – as everyone is aware of the current establishment habit of downplaying ethnic or religious factors in crime. This woman sent out a post on social media, and deleted it four hours later. But this post was brought to the attention of the police. She was arrested in August, and sentenced in October to 31 months in jail. This month an appeal was rejected. The sentence stands.

As far as I can see, it’s quite simple: Lucy Connolly got angry and upset and vented out on social media. Yes, her comments were wrong and she shouldn’t have done it. The authorities panicked as they felt that the situation was getting out of control, so they decided to make an example of her and hand out a grossly disproportionate punishment for her media post. This is in line with the totalitarian practice of terrorizing the population: Stalin’s show trials had the same purpose. Everybody, I repeat, everybody knows that her sentence was grossly disproportionate. We know it, the judge knows it, Keir knows it, the Guardian knows it. Everybody knows it was done to intimidate the general public and send them a strong message: this is what happens if you post things on social media that we don’t like. That is why it was done. Likewise, everybody knows that Hamas supporters and members of the “south Asian” (see the euphemism here, we mustn’t say they were of a certain ethnic and religious background) rape gangs got treated with maximum softness: nothing to see here, it’s racist even to mention it, it’s all the girls’ fault, no enquiry necessary,… Read more »
The authoritarian response is an indication in itself that the powers that be are finding it increasingly difficult to manage the system of governance known as diversity, one that they created.
Unfortunately this response may amplify the belief that the powers are just as frantic behind the measured legal language as the lady who posted. It widens the void between the bald assertion that diversity is a strength for all and the collateral damage visible in the female victims of the ‘grooming’ gangs, where it might be thought diversity gave strength to those gangs.
Correct. I’m sure they have had briefings along the line of the one recently issued to the public by Prof David Bezt that civil war is coming …. and they are DESPERATE to keep the lid on the sectarian chaos they have (deliberately) created:

I pray every day that traitors will get their reward.
Incitement !
If diversity was a strength, why indeed would you need so much legislation to enforce it, going back to the first Race Relations Act which was SIXTY YEARS AGO. It’s a bit like a Deadly Pandemic that needs a global advertising campaign.
Diversity is a strength ie a weapon is intended only for the fake PTB. It is they that draw strength from pushing the lie of diversity. For the plebs, us, diversity is the perfect choke hold.
I’m now of the opinion that when idiots like Khant regurgitate that dratted slogan what they are really meaning is that diversity is a strength *for the migrants*, and their subsequent offspring. Certainly not for the native population. This is supported by more evidence than you can shake a stick at.
Just pertaining to my post sharing the article about the ‘Ummah’ and how their loyalties will always be to their homeland and Islam, once you see how seriously established these people are in the higher echelons of British society, and also generally in the communities, you do realise there’s no coming back from this;
”The Pakistan Peoples Party branch in Ilford in Essex bursts into song.
Integration is going great guns, diversity is our strength.”

Was that filmed in Pakistan because there are no Union Jacks being waved just Pakistani flags and certainly no sign of Western clothing?
I went on the Twitter page of the boss guy and it’s all language such as: “Look at all our members celebrating, proud Pakistanis/national pride/loyal nationalists”, and many more words to that effect. All demonstrating the obvious. They couldn’t give a fk about Britain aside from what they can get for themselves. But, as I say, they’re so well established now, feet well and truly under the table, what can you do, really?😒
Birmingham, Derby, Rotherham – all Pakistani mayors. The female Mayor of Rotherham cannot speak English apparently and said her piece in firkin Urdu. I’m trying to find a link. !
Is it the same video as in the link I shared under the Round-up? She’s speaking with a Pakistani TV channel.
Another in Sunderland. Not sure if he’s Muslim as didn’t have time to check;
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0j74qe0wejo
Yes, mentions here he’s Muslim. Okay, I’ll try and nip this obsession in the bud now.😁

What you is you reduce benefits, cut infrastructure and other spending in these areas, you insist on English being the only language used in schools, hospitals law courts etc.
You outlaw cousin marriage. You deport criminals. You rejig the rlues on bringing in family from overseas. Deport visa overstayed.
That’s on day one. Before dinner.
I’m sure there’s more but that would be a good start.
You are right: the authoritarian response has only made things worse in the long run.
If they had handed out fair and proportional sentences (a fine for Lucy Connolly, long prison sentences for all the members of the rape gangs and an honest public discussion about the Islam’s treatment of women), the overall damage could have been mitigated.
Instead they revealed how utterly politicized and biased the police and the judiciary has become, their fear of the Muslim population, the increasingly polarized nature of society and the breakdown in social cohesion.
Why should Lucy Connolly have been fined? Could you advise the crime that you consider her guilty of?
Her post didn’t even warrant a fine. She also deleted it a few hours after posting. She obviously posted her thoughts in the heat of the moment and later saw how it might be perceived by others. If you are a proponent of free speech, surely your remark demonstrates double standards?
Seconded 👍
I suggest they will find it impossible to manage multiculturalism.
We’re all readers as outraged by the judges’ party political statements “It is a strength of our society that it is both diverse and inclusive.” This goes to the heart of disagreements between the elites and old parties on one side and Reform on the other. (Membership will go over 235,000 this weekend I expect).
Lucy’s ( and the many other patriots wrongfully jailed ) ‘crime’ was using the internet as a platform to vent her spleen and share her disgust and outrage regarding this terrible mass-murder of little children in Southport, but also calling out the naked Emperor due to her accurately linking this with mass immigration as a whole. The below post is in the context of sexual offences, but history, subsequent to the mass immigration crisis forced upon us in recent decades, is littered with the corpses and casualties ( and many victims of sexual offences and other crimes ) of native Brits who have been killed or harmed as a direct result of government policy. Those three little girls would still be alive ( and god knows how many others over the years ) if it weren’t for government policy, which it is apparently forbidden to criticize publicly, and Lucy et al said the quiet part out loud. We are apparently supposed to go through life turning a blind eye to the link, which is just basic cause and effect, at the end of the day: You import the criminals, you get more crimes. Before mass immigration Britain still had its… Read more »
Much appreciated Mogs.👍
WTF is this?
”A migrant living in Dublin has made terrorist threats towards Irish children!!”
https://x.com/Mick_O_Keeffe/status/1926302033033797847
Would it be reasonable to assume he has been exported by now?
Hopefully he’s had a dose of ‘street justice’ courtesy of the locals.
I bloody hope so.
“Yes, her comments were wrong and she shouldn’t have done it.”
So her opinion was wrong? And your opinion is? Who are you to be the arbiter of another’s opinion?
As James Alexander states, Lucy Connolly was “venting,” and was that wrong given the brutal murder of three young girls?
At least Lucy Connolly was expressing an honest opinion which is more than can be said of Kneel and his gang of traitors who lie not on a daily but hourly basis.
Not impressed.
Well said, hux.👏 Had she said, “I want everyone to go and burn down the hotels and I hope all the migrants die as a result”, that’d be an entirely different kettle of fish. But she didn’t urge anyone to do anything or mention race once. A blatant stitch up and miscarriage of justice.
Thanks Mogs.👍
Hey, we don’t have to agree on everything. This is a debating forum, not an echo chamber.
In my opinion her comments were not merely an expression of opinion and they went beyond what I consider acceptable. We shouldn’t say things like that.
The way I see it, she went over the speed limit but it wasn’t dangerous driving,
I think we all agree that if she had received a fine, we wouldn’t be here discussing her case almost a year later.
Just my opinion, nothing more.
I don’t happen to agree with your opinion and from a legal point of view it is wrong anyway. However, Lucy Connolly’s opinion went too far but yours is fine. A distinctly two-tier way of looking at the issue; very du jour.
I am not picking a fight but what you consider acceptable is irrelevant. Lucy Connolly has been convicted of an offence which she did not commit. Boil it down and her imprisonment is actually unlawful.
My friend, I’m only expressing an opinion here. I am only a flawed human being, I do not claim to possess the ultimate truth and I accept that I might be wrong. Whether or not from a legal point of view she is guilty or not, I don’t know. I only have a very limited trust of any legal procedure: the legal system will always support the prevailing ideology and judges are only human too, so they will meter out punishments in accordance with their prejudices and what the political system expects them.
But, as transmissionofflame points out, calling for a hotel full of human beings to be burned down is sinful. We can argue the toss whether she meant it and go into all sorts of sophistry to explain it but it is still wrong. Just like it is wrong to say that a hotel full of Christians or Jews or Muslims should be burned down.
Nonetheless I still think that Lucy Connolly’s punishment was grossly disproportionate. I don’t have to think that she is completely innocent, no, I think what she did was wrong, BUT she should not have received more than a fine.
I think setting fire to hotels with people in them is sinful, unless perhaps you are in a war and the hotel is full of enemy soldiers. But talking about it should not be illegal. Not even a fine.
She was not ‘wrong’, however vulgarly expressed, was her own, to which she was entitled to. People of my acquantance often express strong opinions, sometimes with vulgarities, sometimes not; the vulgarities are irrelevant. No, she should not have suppressed these opinions. You may consider them unacceptable, I do not. Her misfortune was to plead guilty to the false charges of incitement and enable what has largely become a politically corrupt judicial system to use her as an example to frighten others.
I was taught to read Komsomolskaya Pravda and Krokodil in Russian 67 years ago; I was surprised but comforted in that I thought it couldnt happen here. Its now different, but worse !
…“members of the “south Asian”
Pakistani Rape Gangs are the words you omitted. It is out there now, no need to duck and dive. It can be watered down slightly…predominantly Pakistani Rape Gangs.
Certainly. I used the words to mock the prevalent media censorship where certain sensitive facts are not mentioned.
Of course they were predominantly Pakistani rape gangs. But oh, we are not supposed to say that! So let’s just say “south Asian”. You see, not exactly untrue just subtlety deceptive.
Lucy Connolly got angry and upset and vented out on social media. Yes, her comments were wrong and she shouldn’t have done it.
I beg to differ. There was absolutely nothing wrong with her comments. She expressed a political opinion using figurative language for emphasis in a way which absolutely isn’t uncommon (if people got arrested for planning a murder everytime they state something like “I could kill XY because of Z!”, then, prisons would be really full) and obviously did this in an emotionally agitated state. Her only ‘crime’ is that she did this on the internet and not in a pub conversation.
For this, she was then thrown into a cell and made to understand that she would stay there for a long time for as long as protested her innocence. And because of this, she pleaded guilty to a speech crime which had absolutely no relation to her statement. Illegal immigrant still isn’t a race and consequently, no statement about illegal immigrants can be incitement to racial hatred, whatever this is specifically supposed to be.
Her comments were not wrong – they probably echoed what most people felt.
And that is exactly why she had to be silenced. The Blob is justifiably scared.
She’s Two-Tier’s totemic “Faaah Rite” Political Prisoner ….. used as a warning to other uppity working class commentators that they’d better not say what they really think ….. or else!
Over the last 3 decades, but particularly since the working class DARED vote to leave the EU, the Establishment has been re-creating the former East Germany in the UK ….. complete with our own Stasi.
Thw guardian is a filthy socialist, communist rag bent on pushing misinformation in all that it does. It is part of the undermines establishment.
But dp they realise their multi-culti Wonderland will come for them too, eventually?
The Judge in this case lives near me. Our kids went to the same junior school, a state school. I passed his wife the other day walking up the hill to a local beauty spot.
I only mention this because when, in his sentencing remarks he claims that “it is a strength of our society that it is both diverse & inclusive”, you may well wonder whether he chooses to live in amongst the diverse & inclusive areas. Not a bit of it. He lives deep in the Cotswolds. There may be a less diverse, less inclusive enclave somewhere in Scotland but as far as England goes this part of the Cotswolds is about as homogeneous as it gets.
Somehow I think we all suspected he is sheltered from all the blessings of living in a vibrant multicultural community.
If you rephrase what this poor woman said it was “I don’t care if they set fire to the hotels”. It was not an incitement to violence but a statement of indifference.
If the governments insist on mass-importing people from cultures whose views and social norms are poles apart from ours in the West, is it any wonder that the knock-on effect is more crime and social unrest? Then these people put down roots, have kids and these children are exposed to these same hostile, dysfunctional views and practices, and so the trend continues through the generations, especially when these people form enclaves and essentially live in parallel societies. Germany, France and Sweden are a bit further down the line than the UK in being royally f**ked as a result of mass immigration, but not by much. When did we ever hear about kids of 13yrs old going on the run for stabbing classmates, for example? Imagine this boy as an adult?? They can’t prosecute kids until they reach 14yrs old, either; ”In Berlin’s multicultural Spandau neighborhood, a 13-year-old Arab student stabbed his German classmate yesterday and remains on the run. Identified as Alan-Said Ibrahim, the youth stabbed his victim with a kitchen knife multiple times at around 11;30 a.m. at the Weinmeisterhorn elementary school, after they became engaged in an argument in the school’s locker room, according to Berlin Kurier. The victim… Read more »
The lawyer Prime Minister doesn’t get banter, venting and ranting. Witness the lawyer’s back turned to the plebs on the visit to Southport the lawyer couldn’t duck out of, the ethnicity of the killer the human rights lawyer couldn’t face up to, the lawyer’s attribution of resentment to the mythical Far Right.
The most Far Wrong PM in three hundred years of the institution.
The reality is that the”Elites” will in the next few years have to encounter for themselves in their daily lives, the same problems that they have foisted on us, and which they have been able to evade. The reason being is that their desperation to rub the noses of the Plebs in diversity will tip the balance of the country, as more and more of these illegals make their way into the country, stay and breed, they will start to appear in the protected, hallowed areas where our enlightened and betters inhabit, where their children go to school, where their little girls walk out of the school gates. They will then reap what they have sewn, and join the rest of us.
Who here actually cares about the Dresden bombing? Being honest I’d say no-one.
What is it to ‘care’ about something? Anyone care about the victims of the Indian Mutiny? Caesar’s slaughter of the Gauls?
Lucy Connolly said “set fire to all the fucking hotels full of the bastards for all I care”
Is that a crime? I can’t see how. It was not an instruction, request or demand. Merely an observation. It could have come straight from an Alf Garnet script.
What we do know is we have a politically whoring judiciary who do not care. At all.
I do.
But I’ve grown up with stories about how my mother who was then a child of five or four was running for her life over the fields towards the village of Hechtsheim while the so-called Christmas Trees, target markers for the following wave of bombers, were already falling from the sky over the city of Mainz and how her mother who had been to the cinema with a friend survived the attack by chance because she and her friend couldn’t reach the public bomb shelter in time anymore and thus, ducked into a doorway. The shelter was blown bits by a direct hit of a blockbuster bomb.
I’m also intimately familiar with the little boy who got traumatized for life by having to flee from Königsberg with his mother and sister and later on, after he got separated from them, had to walk through a long, dark corridor whenever he needed to go to the loo in the night while bombs were falling on the city centre of Hamburg.
The heroic British warfare against women, children and OAPs is not forgotten.
We didn’t start it. (survivor of Liverpool blitz)
You did. Both the war¹ and the systematic attempt to exterminate the civilian population by aerial firebombing. The Germans never had means for this but fought a short-termed abortive campaign of city bombing with ground attack aircraft they roundly lost². Even if this was different, there’s this nice English saying Two wrongs don’t make a right.
¹ Britain and France unilaterally declared war on Germany but not Russia because of a join German-Russian invasion of Poland.
² Afterwards came only occasional, similarly ineffective revenge raids.
Well, you guys started it; as usual innocents like your examples sometimes pay for the evil unleashed by their forebears.
The whole point of pronoun and racial correctness is to keep the elites above the plebs. It’s why all the educational institutions, publics included came over all rainbow and alphabet soup: to train their products to speak correctly.
Thank you for the article. It explains how I feel about the case, me being a retired lawyer. The judges, shame on all of them, should know better because they are supposed to know the law, interpretation of the law, causality, etc. But when we review the first judge’s 10 tier sentencing cases, the only conclusion we can draw is, he allows his own personal political views to affect his judgments / sentencing.
The appeal court judges are even more shameful – they dig up some irrelevant and illogical reason to deny her appeal!
“There is no arguable basis on which it could be said that the sentence imposed by the judge was manifestly excessive.”
It is always put in a passive tense. It is always in such legalese so the plebs read it as authority and sane judgment. They are not. These are add-ons.
So the only inference is, the judiciary branch has been tainted by the executive branch of our government.
Thanks for your insider perspective
The judges’ statements were political, not legal
“It is a strength of our society that it is both diverse and inclusive.”
This repeated strawman argument is waring very thin. The statement would be true if it were not for the huge numbers of illegal immigrants, useless non-contributing legal immigrants and disproportionate sexual crime rates by foreign nationals.
Fun fact:
Foreign nationals are 3.5 times more likely than British nationals to be arrested for sexual offences!

To George Orwell’s three ‘axioms’: War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength, we can now add a fourth: Diversity is Unity.
The Thing – Cobbett – object to what to them is a thought-crime. Let her be hanged. She said what, in anger , she thought. If she had not the right to think or say what so many of us believe rightly or wrongly in normal argee-bargee down at the pub, well then why did we bother with WWII.
It is a strength of our society that it is both diverse and inclusive.
No it is not, given that we move closer to an internal war with every year.
“It is a strength of our society that it is both diverse and inclusive.”
Nothing more than an opinion and one I strongly disagree with. I don’t mix with people not of my race and nor do I wish to.
The Judges, like the elites are definitely the traitors. They are undermining everything that was once good about this country, our traditions (frowned upon) our sense of humour (not allowed – banter bans) our sense of fair play (just shut up dissenting voices) our faith (being threatened from within) and on and in it goes. No politician apart from Rupert Lowe has the guts to stand up for this beautiful country.
