The Sceptic | Episode 37: David Frost on Starmer’s EU Surrender, James Price on Broken Britain and David Shipley on Lucy Connolly’s Failed Appeal

Welcome to Episode 37 of the Sceptic! On the show this week, host Laurie Wastell speaks to the following guests:

  • David Frost, Lord Frost of Allenton, former chief Brexit negotiator, Conservative Peer and Telegraph columnist, on Keir Starmer’s Brexit betrayal – and whether the Tory Party is on its last legs.
  • James Price, political commentator and former senior Special Adviser, on everything that’s wrong with the sclerotic British state – and how to fix it.
  • And for our premium subscribers, Laurie speaks to David Shipley, writer on prisons and justice, on Lucy Connolly’s cruelly rejected appeal over her draconian 31-month sentence for a tweet.

It would be interesting to hear from Lord Frost whether he thinks this give away was mainly driven by Labour politicians or Labour oriented bureaucrats.

Boris must take responsibility for all that was done and not done in his administration. However there were also over 20 other Cabinet Ministers.

Did they not say anything.

Boris acting as Biden’s messenger, and disrupting the Ukraine negotiations, was nearly as bad as Merkel’s using the Minsk Agreements to increase Western military escalation.

He was born in NY, so we shouldn’t be so surprised.

Laurie can you have a programme on how to get better people into politics. Related question how to get effective back benchers who do the work snd challenge, who are not just angling to carry bags.

Or even make those in politics, behave.

(I know it’s not original, but it’s still desirable.)

Is the Reform Party working on a plan for government?

If so, who is involved?

For a fist full of roubles

That woman reminds me of a bit of gristle.

Labour is the EUSSRs bitch. When the EU calls, Starmer comes a running (possibly normal behaviour for him and something he allegedly might like).
