Israeli Minister Blames Starmer for “Emboldening” Washington Attacker Who Shot Dead Two Jewish Embassy Staff

An Israeli Minister has accused Keir Starmer of “emboldening the forces of terror” after two Jewish staff members at his country’s embassy were shot by a pro-Palestine activist in Washington DC. The Telegraph has more.

Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, who were expected to get engaged, left a reception for diplomats near the city’s Jewish museum on Wednesday night when a stranger armed with a handgun approached them and opened fire.

The suspect, identified as 30 year-old Elias Rodriguez, entered the museum and was detained by security staff as witnesses rushed to help the victims, police said. Footage of his arrest shows him chanting “free, free Palestine” as he is taken away by an officer.

Amichai Chikli, Israeli Diaspora Affairs Minister, said the world must hold to account the “irresponsible leaders in the West who give backing” to hatred against Jews and Israelis, “whether through appeasement, double standards, or silence”.

Mr Chikli said: “French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney have all, in different ways, emboldened the forces of terror through their failure to draw moral red lines. This cowardice has a price – and that price is paid in Jewish blood.”

Gideon Sa’ar, Israeli Foreign Minister, also lashed out at world leaders, and said “this is what happens when world leaders surrender to the Palestinian terrorist propaganda. Stop your incitement against Israel. Stop your false accusations”.

“I was worried… that something like this would happen – and it did. This is the direct result (of) toxic antisemitic incitement against Israel and Jews around the world,” Mr Sa’ar said.

Mr Chikli and Mr Sa’ar’s comments came after a diplomatic crisis erupted this week when Canada, France and UK threatened to sanction Israel over its failure to end the war in Gaza and allow humanitarian aid in.

The UK froze trade talks with Israel and imposed sanctions on West Bank settlers this week, drawing harsh criticism from Israel.

Sir Keir has threatened Israel with “concrete actions” if it keeps restricting aid to Gaza and demanded an end to its renewed offensive.

Sir Keir has not responded to the Israeli ministers, but said this morning: “I thoroughly condemn the antisemitic attack outside the Israeli embassy in Washington DC.

“Antisemitism is an evil we must stamp out wherever it appears.”

The Mail has delved into the killer’s disturbing social media posts:

Social media posts which appear to have been made by him have since revealed the extent of his militant support for the besieged nation, with his post recent writings urging followers to, “escalate for Gaza, bring the war home”.

On the day of the US election, an account linked to Rodriguez re-shared a post which read: “Don’t blame me, I voted for Hamas.”

Another chilling post on X detailed a desire to attack the New York Times‘s headquarters.

“Progressive tweeps, as much as I love delving into the day’s Discourse, can we PLEASE save the idealistic and high-minded debate over the morality of sending a truck bomb into the offices of the New York Times until *AFTER* we send a truck bomb into the office,” the post read.

The X account’s profile picture features a grainy avatar wearing a medical face mask, with many progressives donning the face-coverings to make a political statement long after the Covid crisis ended.

Other concerning entries included a post which read, “De@th to Amerikkka” and sharing posts with the Israeli flag emoji followed by a pig and a knife.

Oh how awful for those two young people, on the brink of getting engaged to be married!!! It’s just horrible!

Quite amusing, the bit about how progressives still wear masks as a political statement on social media. I have no idea if this is true but it is funny because it takes lot of stoicism to wear a mask for just ten minutes. You would have to be a true zealot to be wearing one now as a political statement. Emboldened by Starmer. Difficult to conceive of but you never know.

Perhaps the London Israeli ambassador will be spending a bit more time with Mr Lammy at the Foreign Office, if he is summoned again!

Good on this minister for calling out these people. I don’t want to live in a society where people tolerate massive crowds of ‘rent-a-mob’, hate-filled, batshit crazy hostiles on the regular, waving their flags of Jihad, chanting their allegiance to terrorist organizations and/or screeching for the death of Jews/the West/TERFs etc. Where kids are looking at this behaviour and acclimatizing to it because it’s become so constant and normalized. There’s something to be said for the adage: ”If you tolerate everything you stand for nothing.” This is where your ‘free speech absolutism’ gets you; ”This psychopath who murdered the two staff members of the Israeli embassy in Washington DC tonight will rot in jail hopefully for life, but he’s not the only one guilty here. There were other murderers. Every single person who held Hamas and Hezbollah flags in the streets, every person who supported them, every person calling to globalize the intifada, and every single human being who contributed to Jew hatred online by spreading Hamas propaganda and blood libels. You are all guilty and you have blood on your hands. Don’t worry, you WILL be held accountable sooner or later. Words matter. The Holocaust started with words. Words… Read more »

Perfect example of the crazies in action, who just happen to resemble and behave like they’ve just broken out of the local funny farm. They’re blatantly harassing this minister, but they’re also exercising their right to ‘freedom of expression’, so it’s all good;

”Welcome to London. We like to let known extremists abuse ministers at the heart of British state power.

Today, outside the Foreign Office. The target is Hamish Falconer. “Baby killer!” A “Zionism death cult” hate placard for emphasis.”

An awkward one this but I cannot have an ounce of sympathy for any members of Kneel’s government who are harassed on the streets, they brought this on themselves.

The pro plasticine mob should have been chased off the streets after Oct 7th. They weren’t. The government are to blame and yes they do own some responsibility for the New York murders.

Of course these murders should never have happened. But do you seriously believe only the UK government is critical of Israel? Do you seriously believe the UK government can be blamed for these two deaths when the government only began a pathetic, half-hearted denouncement of Israel’s murderous actions one or two days ago? And how many thousands of Palestinian lives have been lost the past year and a half on account of Israel’s murderous actions which apparently do not upset you in the slightest?

I suggest a modicum of research might reveal that Israel has had a pretty appalling history of brutally suppressing Palestinians, and that brutal suppression may result in brutal reactions.

If you were Lebanese and Israel bombed your home and killed your family, would you love all Israelis? If you were Lebanese, Jordanian, Syrian, Egyptian, Yemeni …

Love or hate?

You may wish all Palestinians dead but, firstly, there are several millions no longer living in Israel and, secondly, there are many Lebanese …

In my opinion it is up to Israel to start afresh but they have a damn long way to go to return peace to the world.

I didn’t even know who the guy was, tbh. But we can’t have double standards and be ok with some being harassed and others not. And please tell me the loonies wearing scrubs were not actual hospital staff.😨
Yes, they should’ve been dealt with right at the outset but the Tories allowed them to gain momentum and support, thereby gathering strength. It’s what happens when you pander to these fruitcakes. You end up with a veritable fruitcake factory.

Meanwhile, this here is a mystery and has me confused. Why is there a Ukrainian activist woman in Gaza and how the heck did she get there?

Not the Holocaust again. Maybe you believe Israeli voices, e.g. Israel is flooded with evil and lack of empathy. “I never knew people were capable of being so evil” (Professor Orit Kamir, Haaretz Hebrew): I have never seen so much evil; so many people eager to express wickedness; competing with each other in demonstrating their closeness and lack of empathy. I never knew people were capable of being so evil. To rejoice in the pain of others. To rejoice when people suffer, starve, die, lose everything they have and die. That is why I have never been so afraid. The feeling is that a mighty dam has been breached and masses of Israelis are removing all restraints of humanity from themselves and racing to wallow together in toxic hatred, joy in the ego, dehumanization, and violence. As if they were just waiting for the moment when they could free themselves from the rules of etiquette that obliged them to maintain a semblance of morality. With shouts of age, they are shedding the conventions and norms that human society has been building for thousands of years to curb the rampage of the ego. They are giving freedom a new meaning: freedom… Read more »

Tbh I doubt sir kneel’s stance on the issue carries any weight at all, but it is disturbing the extent to which leftist retards have parroted anti semitic nonsense without being called to account.

You are right, Sir kneel’s opinions are daft to anyone with a functioning brain, but his supporters behave as if they’ve had a lobotomy!
