Climate Sceptics Accused of Intimidating Journalists and Attacking the Press by Regulator. That’s the Opposite of the Truth
Over in an obscure online ‘newspaper’ known as the Guardian, Environment Editor Damian Carrington claims that: “A huge 89% majority of the world’s people want stronger action to fight the climate crisis.” This figure gives its name to a project that Carrington claims will unify newsrooms around the world, to “highlight the fact that the vast majority of the world’s population wants climate action”. The polling and the project, however, come amid a furious and desperate attempt to re-engage the public with an issue that manifestly has fallen off global and national political agendas. Put simply: the Green Blob is doubling down on a desperate attempt to weaponise both the media and media regulators.
Consider, for instance, the claim that 89% of the world’s population want, as the Guardian wants, “stronger climate action”. If so, it would be the most remarkable consensus in all of human history. Never before have so many been so united. Not even by religion. And so all that it would take for such a consensus to turn into political action would be to establish political parties to reflect that unity, right?

Reminds me of psychological projection. Accuse others of behaviour ( or of being something ) which you yourself have demonstrated…..Plenty examples of that on here, in my experience. Some is conscious but I think much of it people do subconsciously.
The whole bloody system is communist now. Academia, the media, civil serpents, the charity and NGO sector. All communist. The whole system works to push a leftist control of information, thoughts, beliefs and outputs. We are doomed to collapse. And the Muhammadans will make hay with that. The communists won’t last long when the Muhammadans take over. They deserve everything they are going to get.
They’ve been clever because they don’t ever refer to anything being “left wing” – only “right wing”. They’ve constructed this picture of the world, which has lodged in a lot of people’s minds, in which the political right are Literally Hitler, and then there is the political centre which is where reasonable people argue about things you can reasonably disagree on. The “left” has disappeared from the frame of reference.

They are starting to panic as their fear mongering bollocks is starting to be seen by more and more people as, well, bollocks.
They could lie to an unsuspecting public about a virus, but you can’t lie to the British about the bloody weather!
Their arguments fall down on all counts. If the science is settled and incontrovertibly true then why do they silence argument on the subject. In reality any sane scientific community would welcome debate by knowledgeable scientists who disagree with their ideas if it is an open and shut case, therefore it would be easy to falsify the sceptical arguments and win over the public at large. They don’t encourage debate and try to silence debate, so it must be true that their case is weak at best.
in short they are not proper scientists and adopt mediaeval religious style tactics to intimidate disidents.
The mad monk Milliband is an example of their immature and, quite frankly, malicious tactics. They are charlatans at best and need to be dragged into the debating arena.
But don’t you understand the science is settled! Everyone knows that just like everyone knows the world is flat and the best cure for disease is blood-letting.

Because what they ultimately want is to establish a notion of climate holocaust and send everyone who doesn’t agree with their story to jail, as is done for the real thing in many countries all over the world. The notion that certain statements are so important that criticizing them must be a punishable offence is well-established. And hence, every other person with a chip on her shoulder naturally wants her great and important agenda to achieve this elevated status as well. It’s about nothing short of surivial of the planet and everything on it! Surely, this should override all concerns about the rights of misguided individuals!
The advance of science throughout history has been due to the one who didn’t agree, who challenged.

89% of the “world’s people”? 89% of the “global public”? What does that even mean? Do they provide evidence for this claim? This implies that almost everyone in China, India, Africa, Russia etc are all onboard which is patently b*ll*cks. They’ve all got far worse things to worry about.

You would think that this is confined to the blob, but sadly the indoctrination has gone so much further. In conversation with someone, politically astute on the right of politics, who you would naturally assume to be climate change sceptical, I was told I was wrong to say that Miliband has a net zero agenda that was not supported by the majority of the world. His riposte was 196 countries have signed the Paris Accord and therefore the majority of the world agrees with the course we are on. I pointed out that while countries may have signed something years ago, that doesn’t mean they have our agenda of 2030 net zero and no CO2 by 2050. I referred to China, India, Russia and the USA, who together make up a considerable portion of the world population not giving up on hydrocarbon fuels, Germany targeting 2038 to close the last coal fired power station and many European countries not yet even having a timetable to close their coal fired stations.
