Net Zero Plan to Blot Out Sun Using £50 Million of Taxpayer Money Set to Be Approved

Only the other day this site reported on the news that some scientists are being provided with taxpayer funds to bankroll a project to suck carbon out of the sea in a bizarre BBC story that confused carbon and carbon dioxide.

It seems that’s not the only such initiative to enjoy the benefits of taxpayer funds. The Telegraph has a story about the imminent announcement by the Government to give the go ahead for experiments to blot out the Sun. The £50 million provided makes the £3 million for the sea carbon project look like pocket money:

Outdoor field trials which could include injecting aerosols into the atmosphere, or brightening clouds to reflect sunshine, are being considered by scientists as a way to prevent runaway climate change.

Aria, the Government’s advanced research and invention funding agency, has set aside £50 million for projects, which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Prof Mark Symes, the Programme Director for Aria (Advanced Research and Invention Agency), said there would be “small controlled outdoor experiments on particular approaches”.

Of course, the danger is side effects, but such concerns are apparently brushed aside in the race to collapse carbon dioxide levels:

Geoengineering projects which seek to artificially alter the climate have proven controversial, with critics arguing they could bring damaging knock-on effects, as well as being an unhelpful distraction from lowering emissions.

However, scientists are increasingly concerned that carbon dioxide levels are not falling fast enough and that further action may be needed to prevent catastrophic warming.

One major area of research is Sunlight Reflection Methods (SRM), which includes Stratospheric Aerosol Injection (SAI) whereby tiny particles are released into the stratosphere to reflect sunlight.

Another potential solution is Marine Cloud Brightening (MCB) in which ships would spray sea-salt particles into the sky to enhance the reflectivity of low-lying clouds.

Believe it or not, scientists have been ironically inspired by pollution from shipping fumes which in the past caused cooling, but now their sulphur dioxide emissions have been controlled, global warming has increased. Undaunted by the evidence that meddling with such matters might make things worse, the next plan is to start deliberately inserting reflective particles into cloud:

Prof Jim Haywood, of Atmospheric Science, at the University of Exeter, said: “If you inject small particles into clouds, you can brighten them hence reflecting more sunlight back out to space.

“How do we know this could work? Well there are a couple of very strong pieces of evidence.

“Ship emissions from the smoke stack into the marine environment lead to bright lines in clouds over the ocean.

“Then there was a volcanic eruption in Iceland in 2014 which spilled out a lot of sulphur dioxide. What this does is it brightens clouds and cools the planet. What we need to do is some form of field experiments.”

Cirrus clouds and aviation are on the radar:

Other ideas for geoengineering include seeding cirrus clouds to allow more heat to escape into space. Currently, the wispy high-altitude clouds act as a blanket, trapping in heat.

Dr Sebastian Eastham, a senior lecturer in Sustainable Aviation at Imperial College London, said: “Every time you fly, sulphur, which is naturally present in jet fuel, is emitted into the lower most stratosphere causing a small cooling effect.

“Similarly, aircraft contrails cause accidental cirrus cloud modification but in this case accidentally causing, rather than preventing or thinning, cirrus clouds.

“This points to the fact that it’s theoretically possible (to cool the planet) with current day technology but there are many practical questions that would need to be answered before they could be done at scale.”

Let’s hope he reads Snowpiercer first, the plot of which is summarised on Wikipedia here:

In 2014, an attempt to stop climate change via stratospheric aerosol injection catastrophically backfires, creating a new ice age that destroys much of life on Earth. For 17 years, the remnants of humanity shelter in a state-of-the-art self-sustaining circumnavigational train, the Snowpiercer, run by reclusive transportation magnate Wilford. The passengers on the train are segregated, with the elite in the extravagant front cars and the poor crammed into squalid tail compartments overseen by armed guards.

Another story worth reading is Arthur C. Clarke’s History Lesson (1949) when the Earth enters a final ice age and the human race is wiped out. One of the strange things about science fiction is that it so often turns out to be true.

The Telegraph’s story is worth reading in full.

Stop Press: BBC Radio 4’s World at One today featured Dr Sebastian Eastham (see above). Presenter Sarah Montague challenged him on unintended side effects. You can listen to the interview here. Spin through to 35:15 in.

Stop Press 2: Were the scientists inspired by the Simpsons and Monty Burns’s Sun Blocker?

The Sun Blocker was a device developed by Charles Montgomery Burns. As the name suggests, it was created to blot out the sun outside, in order to ensure Mr Burns’s electricity was sold in a monopoly, covering Springfield in perpetual darkness otherwise.

Well done to Sallust and the DS for featuring this horrific news story.

This £50 million is going to the ARIA project founded by LLAN GUR, who also founded the US “Activate” company, and his Globalist plan to DIM THE SUN, the SOURCE OF ALL LIFE ON EARTH, is a SATANIC ATTACK ON LIFE ITSELF.

Just like his fellow lunatic Bill Gates wanted to spray chalk dust into the sky to DIM THE SUN is a SATANIC ATTACK ON LIFE ITSELF, trying to cut humanity and all life forms off from God’s Own Light, to trap and enslave souls in a darkened Hell on Earth.

I’m just checking the date… No, not April 1st.
These hare-brained schemes fit nicely with the idea that humankind has the power to control the planet, if we wish so to do. Have none of these scientists considered what will happen to plant life if sunlight is reduced, and what the knock-on effects could be for the rest of the ecosystem. But then, perhaps they feel that life forms are a problem in themselves, and should be eradicated altogether…

Not just sunlight but CO2, particularly in the UK because the new arrivals must surely feel the cold and we need more CO2 in order to boost food production with which to feed them.

I have to confess i’s becoming harder and harder for me to interact with the rest of the world.

The language used in what society considers respectable media like the Telegraph (and they’re supposed to be better than most) is so stupid, so devoid of any real meaning, it leaves me only wondering whether the people behind it are just all in a trance or clever and evil.

Runaway climate change

WTF us runaway climate change

However, scientists are increasingly concerned that carbon dioxide levels are not falling fast enough

Which scientists?

further action may be needed to prevent catastrophic warming.

Catastrophic in what way?

Is anything in media not a psyop, or unwittingly reinforcing a psyop?

If the Telegraph and all the rest of them are capable of putting out blige like that, then honestly anything else they produce is likely to be devoid of any value. It’s just rubbish put out to drive the dumb herd in one direction or another.

Some examples: Allied Atrocities and Controversial Actions During and After World War II 1. Strategic Bombing of Civilians The firebombing of Dresden, Tokyo, and the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians. Critics argue these attacks were disproportionate and militarily unnecessary, particularly late in the war. 2. Soviet Atrocities in Eastern Europe As the Red Army advanced, mass rapes, executions, and pillaging occurred across Poland, Germany, Hungary, and other regions. An estimated 1.5 to 2 million German women were raped. Millions of German POWs were sent to Soviet labor camps (Gulags), where up to 1 million died from starvation, exposure, or abuse. 3. Mistreatment of German POWs In the Rheinwiesenlager camps run by the U.S. in Germany, tens of thousands of German soldiers died from exposure, disease, and starvation. France used POWs for forced labor, often under inhumane conditions. 4. Forced Repatriations (Operation Keelhaul) The Allies forcibly returned millions of Soviet citizens and anti-communists to Stalin’s USSR, where many faced execution or imprisonment. Included were White Russians, Ukrainians, Cossacks, and others — often against their will. 5. Mass Expulsions of Ethnic Germans After the war, 12–14 million ethnic Germans were expelled… Read more »

I don’t think anyone ever apologized or paid reparations for the historical atrocities numbered 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5.

Nor has Russia ever apologized or paid reparations for kidnapping tens of thousands of British & American Prisoners of War after “liberating” them from Nazi concentration camps, then dragging them off to Siberian gulags as hostages to force Churchill to hand over the White Russians, as detailed in researcher Nigel Cawthorne’s devastating book:

James Bacque Other Losses: An Investigation into the Mass Deaths of German Prisoners at the Hands of the French and Americans after World War II Other Losses caused an international scandal when first published in 1989 by revealing that Allied Supreme Commander Dwight Eisenhower’s policies caused the death of some 1,000,000 German captives in American and French internment camps through disease, starvation and exposure from 1944 to 1949, as a direct result of the policies of the western Allies, who, with the Soviets, ruled as the Military Occupation Government over partitioned Germany from May 1945 until 1949. An attempted book-length disputation of Other Losses, was published in 1992, featuring essays by British, American and German revisionist historians (Eisenhower and the German POWs: Facts Against Falsehood, edited by Ambrose & Günter). However, that same year Bacque flew to Moscow to examine the newly-opened KGB archives, where he found meticulously and exhaustively documented new proof that almost one million German POWs had indeed died in those Western camps. One of the historians who supports Bacque’s work is Colonel Ernest F. Fisher, 101st Airborne Division, who in 1945 took part in investigations into allegations of misconduct by U.S. troops in Germany and later became a senior… Read more »

Thanks for that book information. All I knew about was Thomas Goodrich’s 2014 book “Hellstorm: The Death of Nazi Germany 1944-47”, detailing the mass torture and gang rapes of millions of German and East European women and children by Muslim Mongols and Tatars dressed in Russian Army uniforms, because the ethnic Russians refused to participate. All of these were WAR CRIMES committed AFTER PEACE WAS DECLARED!

The same thing happened elsewhere in Europe, where Allied troops such as the French were blamed for horrific gang rapes, when it was actually Muslim Algerians and other Muslims in French uniform.

People forget that Gang Rape was virtually UNKNOWN in the West before Muslim immigration.

And the shocking treatment of German troops AFTER PEACE WAS DECLARED led to the assassination of General Patton, who vehemently protested against it.

His harrowing but important book can be read for free on the Internet Archive here:

Of course the allies weren’t saints. SOE was set up as the department of ungentlemanly warfare.

But of all possible outcomes, the allies winning and Germany losing was probably the least bad.

My point is not to ‘rub noses in dirt’ but to illustrate how in the past these failings were very rarely found. Most of ‘us’ accepted the state narrative we saw reported because we broadly trusted that authority. Now, in these modern times, with events such as 9/11, WMD, CV19, Ukraine, etc. it has been possible to interrogate history far more deeply than ever before. We have quickly found out that the given/received narrative should not be so readily trusted. You don’t have to scratch away too much to discover very robust counter-views.
By extrapolation, this newly found easy access to counter information, the questioning of almost every event in history is possible and we can see we have likely been feed bunk endlessly throughout history. It’s nothing new.

Not because I’m particularly smart but because the ruling class (sorry, I can’t call them elites, that implies genuine merit) ate such penalty, and fundamentally stupid next Tuesdays.

Hence why ‘democracy’ is a handy system for the predatory ruling class: they just tell the muppets what to think and pow! Election of uniparty candidate delivered.

Possibly some truth to that little list, but then you shouldn’ have fucking started it should you?

For the sake of example, let’s assume your neighbour clubs your son to death because he found him stealing apples¹. If you now lie in hiding until you catch is daughter and kill in a particularly unpleasant way, you’re not both murderers and not exactly one villain and exactly one hero.

¹ Not that ending persecution of ethnic Germans by Poles you made their master for this very purpose was ever any of your business — you started the war in the west to rescue Poland for Stalin. Or rather, the half of Poland he hadn’t already occupied during the joint German – Russian invasion of it in 1939.

Of all possible outcomes, your side getting to write the history books was certainly best for it. Considering that the present outcomes of your laudable goal to improve all of the world very much, no matter if it ever wanted to needed to be improved, are COVID and climate change, your legacy is not as great as you like others to believe.

The green happy clappers do not think ‘critically’. This is very like a religion. They take the doctrine eat it up and swallow it all. It makes them feel a little righteous, sanctimonious even, whilst also wicked, guilty and sinful all at the same time. They beg for crushing CO2 taxation and spitefully want it brought about to punish all – make all kneel, pay homage and sacrifice at the alter of St.AlGore. It is earth worship in the most negative way – they think people are the problem and believe population reduction the solution. It is fundamentalist anti-humanity-ism. It is a death cult. They are so often the same bunch who once would have said a great big NO to nuclear power but now shrug and say well it is better than ‘global warming’. At least Fukushima Daiichi stuffed the truth of that notion in their face – if they care to pay attention to the under-the-carpet facts. Yet the money and opportunity is stolen away from the oil-bearing nations. They are ruined instead, by favoured despots or war, precluded from being free to capitalise on their period of wealth; for fear they could become today and tomorrow’s masters. Instead; the opportunity is handed to… Read more »

In the 1980s, catalytic converters became mandatory because of the so-called acid rain supposedly caused by SO₂ emissions of cars with internal combustion engines. 2025, a professor of the university of Exeter plans large-scale “injection” of SO₂ (sulphur dioxide) into the atmosphere to “save the planet”.

If memory serves right (and backed up by a quick internet search), catalytic converters remove carbon monoxide (a genuine toxin) and nitrogen oxides associated with urban smog.

Acid rain was primarily due to formation of sulphuric acid in the atmosphere, from oxidation of sulphur dioxide produced by burning coal high in sulphur content – avoided by scrubbing out the sulphur dioxide at source (e.g. power station chimney) or using coal lower in sulphur content.

You point still stands about madcap science now proposing to mimic the effect of atmospheric sulphur dioxide.

Get Government out of our lives! in my view this is Government taking action on matters in which it has no business and should have no business. We really need to shrink Government and make it focus on its core business e.g. defence and law and order. It should not in anyway be involved in funding these sort of crazy and dangerous ideas.

Please please can we have far less Government and reduce Government involvement, including in areas of health and welfare and most particularly with regard to ‘climate. change’.

I hear you. You’ve also got the consequence a higher death rate in countries with seasonal latitude, since cooler in general necessarily means a greater prevalence of freezing temperatures, leading to more deaths from cold-related illnesses. This puts greater pressure of health services in these countries. A slightly warmer planet means human lives saved!
