Schools Tell 14 Year-Old Boys How to “Safely Choke Their Girlfriends During Sex”
A council-funded sex education presentation shown in schools to teenagers as young as 14 has told them how to ‘safely’ choke their girlfriends during sex, saying it must always be done “with consent”. The Mail has more.
The material, funded by Bridgend county borough council in south Wales, was shown to pupils studying PSHE lessons at a range of secondary schools.
Provided by the council’s domestic abuse service, Assia, the PowerPoint, which was seen by the Times, taught children that “consent (when it comes to choking during sex) should happen every time sexual choking is an option”.
“It is never okay to start choking someone without asking them first and giving them space to say no,” it continued.
Experts, however, have shared their deep concern at the sex education class which they say is portraying the idea that “choking can be done safely”.
“This is not sex education, this is just advocacy for the porn industry,” Michael Conroy, the founder of Men at Work, told the Times.
“Imagine you are a 14 year-old girl and you have told your boyfriend you don’t want to be choked but then an authority figure comes into school and tells you it is okay.
“Choking cuts off oxygen to the brain and is incredibly harmful, it can even kill. Most schools will take it on trust that something endorsed by the local authority is okay. There is a rampant myth that choking can be done safely and is simply another option for a sexual act.”
There has indeed been a disturbing rise in teenage boys demanding rough sex, including choking, in recent years.
A recent survey by Dr Debby Herbenick, known to be one of the foremost researchers on American sexual behaviour, questioned 5,000 women anonymously at a “major Midwestern university”, the New York Times reported.
Almost two-thirds of women who responded said they had been choked by a partner during sex – but an even more worryingly statistic emerged: 40% were between the ages 12 and 17 the first time choking happened.
During a previous survey, the figure was far fewer at 25% (or one in four).

Is choking a girlfriend standard fare for the left?
Any death should be followed by prosecution of the entire local education establishment.
Meanwhile sack them all.
Not so fast. I think this is more likely a response to things kids are exposed to online in this age of degeneracy. My own 9-year old has already mentioned “edging”, and rape without understanding what those terms mean.
Perhaps it is not an indicator of sexual perversion instigated by weirdos within the education system (and we know there is some of that), but yet another sad reminder of the perversions which are all too available when internet use by youngsters is not properly managed by parents.
Better that they learn about such things in sex education than from Porn Hub, et al.
I agree, they’ve probably already heard or seen things and need clarification and warnings.
How about “let them follow their natural instincts once they feel ready for that” instead of assuming that they MUST be itching to cosplay extreme porn flicks and hence, forcing this tripe onto them?
I think it’s just trying to address in a controlled forum some of the stuff they are (highly) likely to encounter online. Kids aren’t going to appreciate that the porn stars they will see (and let’s not pretend they won’t), are actors and actresses and know what they are doing. I used to read some of the “lad’s mags” back in the 90s and early 00s, and recall reading an interview with a pair of stars of the time in which they urged young men not to try and emulate what they see on the small screen. It’s fantasy, unreal acts performed by professionals, whatever our feelings about it might be.
So, why don’t they need state sponsored “Don’t jump from rooftops!” lessons after watching superhero movies? Could it be that their parents told them?
This is adults talking to children below the age of consent about the seriously unpleasant aspects of hardcore porn at the expense of the taxpayer. That’s – lightly put – a bizarre idea of children’s school education and certainly not one the state should be organizing and enforcing. Porn Hub may be unavoidable but this is certainly avoidable.
Porn Hub and many, many, far worse sites are indeed unavoidable, and that’s precisely the point. Better to learn the facts than try to copy without prior warning.
If you think porn is bad for youngsters, than, more porn is worse than less porn and mandatory school porn is more porn.
But hang on, the Government can censor, folow and block free speech, it can order the likes of Apple and Google to censor, etc, so why can’t they insist that Porn sites are blocked? Who does Porn actually benefit? its not necessary, if people want Porn let them go to specific premises to access.
The Governmenr have demonstrated through Covid and its actions on people during the riots stemming from the little girls murder by the teenager.(Was he perhaps shown something at school? not seriously but would you be surprised?) that they can shut down, imprison etc, so they could stop Porn in its tracks on the internet if they chose too.
Not really. Apple and Google are tangible entities who have business interests in the UK. But there’s an immeasurable numer of p0rnsites, most of them probaby hosted in parts of the world the UK government has absolutely no say over. It’s possible to block the larger sites with suitable technology but that’s in no way watertight.
But that’s not really the business of the government at all as it’s all about people social lives which are supposed to be their private affair. The ‘professional revolutionary sex priests’ who have infested schools obviously don’t think people’s and especially, children’s social lives should be their private affair because people are wont to do all kinds of things these ‘professional revolutionary sex priests’ absolutely don’t agree with (like claiming to be men and women or boys and girls instead of just gender role cosplayers). But they’re really nothing but pests who should never have been allowed into schools.
But it means that sex education does not aim to teach truth by confronting pornography (as educators do with other “evils” like climate denial, transphobia, Zionism and so on), but merely sees its role as mitigating the worst evils of anti-social behaviours.
“If you must rape a girl, ask her consent first, and don’t kill her afterwards.”
Why can they not point out that evil people make billions out of exploiting the corruptibility of our sexuality and the vulnerability of girls, but that for the sake of women – and men, and children, and society – courageous kids should fight the darkness and protect the weak?
NO! Better that they never learn such things at all, because Porn Hub will be abolished and its founders arrested.
Parents should be the ones to respond if kids mention things like this,..not teachers telling them how to do it, ‘DONT DO IT, ITS DANGEROUS’
Sex with 14-year-olds is illegal in the UK. So, why precisely do they need mandatory lessons by state-paid sex instructors on sex-anything?
Did that stop people at your school?
I remember that lewd comments¹ had become somewhat of a thing by the time we were in the 9th form which means about 16. But we still hadn’t any actual couples at that time. These would show up in the next couple of years.
That’s besides the point, however. It’s prohibited to show porn movies to 14-year olds. So, why is it ok if the state-paid people force graphic sex lessons onth them?
¹ With exactly one guy, to be precise, who was annoying the hell out of everybody else.
This is absolutely horrific, but it’s not new. This was reported under the Tories two years ago and it looks like nothing at all has changed. What’s bizarre is the government and schools are apparently so very concerned about an apparent rise in misogynistic behaviour in classrooms and yet they go and normalize what is literal abuse of females. They are teaching boys this is acceptable practice and girls that it’s considered a routine part of sex with somebody you’re supposed to trust. Nothing about this is normal. What grown adults consent to get up to behind closed doors is their business but you don’t go legitimizing physical abuse, re-packaged as just par for the course when you sleep with somebody, to young, impressionable teenagers. Where is the emphasis on mutual respect and forming an emotional connection with somebody? The porn industry has enough to answer for without aspects of it materializing in schools in sex education. ”The government will launch a review into how sex education is taught in schools following concerns that children are being exposed to “inappropriate” content. Rishi Sunak made the pledge after a Conservative MP claimed pupils are being given “graphic lessons on oral sex,… Read more »
I would like to think they are highly discouraging of it, far from teaching that it is acceptable and a normal part of sexual behaviour.
They should be reinforcing the idea that it is totally unacceptable and highly dangerous, but I think kids need to know the facts. It’s much more than the birds and bees these days…
The excerpt above doesn’t read like ”highly discouraging” to me. It comes across as the normalization of kink, or physical abuse, specifically. Naive young girls will feel pressured to go along with this and boys are having it presented to them as just another part of their ‘repertoire’. But did you notice the emphasis is on ”choking their girlfriends”? So why is this being taught as a one-way thing to be done by boys to girls? It’s very concerning.
If they were highly discouraging of it, they’d be saying “don’t do it, it’s perverted and dangerous.”
Not “ask for consent first.”
Choking people is a method for killing them. This should usually even be off limits in fights as killing one’s opponent is not an intended or acceptable outcome. Outside of seriously deranged incel fantasies (which exist, although rather as form of unintentionally comical sour grapes instead of a terrorist threat), I absolutely fail to see why someone would want to do that for enjoyment. Hence, there should be no reasons to discuss it, especially not with underage children who have a tendency to assume that what adults say must be something to take seriously as in “I never wanted to choke anyone but shouldn’t I, given that teachers apparently think I ought to?”
Whatever we feel about the points made above, I think we can all agree we are in dark times.
Why aren’t pornography sites shut down if, as it appears, it is impossible to control who accesses them?
At last, someone who gets it!
Just like DRUGS,
PORN BENEFITS NO ONE but the dealers.
If most of the sites are free (and I haven’t looked into this so aren’t sure about that, correct me if I’m wrong) then who precisely is offering this content and why?
What’s the long con?
Sex Education in schools should be limited to what goes where and what the consequences might be (pregnancy, STD’s etc).
They do not need to be given lessons in perversion.
Exactly. Far back in the mists of time, when I was a kid, sex education was only taught to 13-14 year olds, because they were on the brink of puberty. No mention of sex was ever made to children below that age in school, because there was no need for it.
Sex education was taught exclusively by the sports teachers: male teachers teaching the boys, female teachers teaching the girls, and the classes focused completely on biological diagrams from medical textbooks of the reproductive organs and their function.
No photos, no porn videos, no emotions, no psychology, no perversions were ever discussed— just the basic biology of reproduction and how to deal with it. Birth control methods were not discussed, because the correct assumption was that sex was for procreation, and there should be no sex before marriage. The teachers did encourage the students to ask questions in class if they were unsure about anything.
The sex education classes only consisted of a few lessons in one year, and were never mentioned again during the subsequent years of school. Discussions of morality, chastity and abstention were left to the parents to teach their children.
Next week kiddies, we’ll discus your Uncle’s favourite positions, why your closest cousin is the route to happiness…
Where are the Parents in this? Are they aware? if not why not?, where is Kier Starmer? so much for his Adolescence is a documentary which must be shown in schools, isn;t this a perfect example of not only state sponsored child Porn, but state sponsored how to kill your girlfriend?
Why are the people who create these things and the people who show them to children allowed anywhere near children? What actually is child abuse these days? what exactly do you need to have done in order to be put away as a danger to children, it seems to me that anything is permissable under this Government.
I have little doubt that a parent who complains will find themselves at the butt-end of a safeguarding complaint.
Are they allowed to view the materials and are they allowed to opt their children out?
Easy online access to porn is corrupting the morality of humanity. Schools should be explaining to youngsters how all use of porn corrupts the natural sex drive and why it is better to avoid both its use and sexual partners who do use it.
Deviance is not liberation.
Make that contraception pills and it’s more on target. Side-effect free sex would never have become everybody’s to be most favoured past-time activity, hadn’t it been for the ‘chemical revolution’ which turned women and men from prospective mothers and fathers into better sex toys.
Indeed there have been many steps towards the occult goal of the degradation of the human as a spiritual entity. And no doubt there will be a few more yet to come. Our power is being obfuscated via a thousand cut.
Absolutely spot on!
On the List of Heroic Jews, who tell the truth about Judaism, is Professor N. D. Abrams, now at Bangor University in Wales. He has been warning the world about who controls the worldwide porn industry, but nobody listens to him:
“Porn Again Jews: Jewish Involvement in the Adult Film Industry”. – Bangor University
He courageously said that the Jews promote pornography because of
“AN ATAVISTIC HATRED OF CHRISTIAN MORALITY”.
Listen to him, people. Open your eyes to the fact that
SEX IS A SOUL TRAP.
The curse of the internet, I’m saddened, shocked and scared of what this exposes. It’s been happening in Scottish Primary Schools where parents have been completely excluded from the content being used as the provision of material has been sub contracted out to a private company and cannot be shared or removed from school. I’m old now and so very glad that myself and my husband have had a very sheltered ‘normal’ married life for 56 years.
I remember doing with other boys at school not as a sexual thing but just because it gave you a buzz at the moment when you were about to pass out. Best left alone though just like auto-erotic asphyxiation. Yes of course sexual feeling is intensified by choking because the orgasm is the little death, the petit mort as the French call it refers to both. But that doesn’t mean you should do it just because it produces a certain sensation.
Ah yes, I remember the case of the Stephen Milligan introducing me to a whole world of kinkyness than without that I would never in a million years have imagined.
Okay I’m well over 50 and when I was young this would have been considered extremely weird and creepy. The fact that it is being normalised in schools shows how depraved people can become in a few short years. Choking someone should be unacceptable and strongly discouraged under any circumstances.
