Surge in Diversity Bosses “Plaguing” Public Sector

Britain’s quangos have been quietly ballooning their equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) departments. The Telegraph has more.

Britain’s quangos spent more than £26 million on EDI roles from 2021 to 2024, according to research by the Taxpayer’s Alliance.

The bill has increased year on year, with the number of diversity roles at Government bodies having jumped by 20% since 2021. Quango spending on EDI salaries increased some 21% during the same period.

The College of Policing and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) are the largest employers of diversity officers among UK quangos.

The two criminal justice bodies have employed the highest total number of diversity staff since 2021, according to Freedom of Information requests obtained by the Taxpayers’ Alliance.

Since then, the CPS has spent £2.7 million of taxpayers’ money on its EDI positions and is the UK’s second largest spender after Education Scotland, the country’s school inspectorate.

The highest paid diversity officer at a UK quango was the EDI lead at the NHS’s blood and transplant service, with a salary of more than £100,000.

A diversity manager at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) also took home £94,000, the second highest salary of a quango EDI boss. …

The House of Commons has consistently employed more than 10 people to manage its diversity agenda since 2021, causing an annual salary bill of more than £350,000. …

Of the 145 quangos asked for details of the EDI roles they employed, 80 confirmed that they had spent a minimum of £26,695,098 on EDI salaries since 2021.

What a racket. Back in 1984, Uncle George would have had a field day…

Diversity is Conformity
Include is Exclude
Equity is Iniquity

…Send for the Firing Squad.

The system of governance known as diversity requires administrators. Especially badged and uniformed members of the=is new order.

But as Ben Cobley has observed, anyone can be an administrator if they perpetuate the system. Administrators are not there to innovate. Their purpose is not to challenge the system.

At his Scottish coronation, the King was blessed by a whole range of representatives of different religions. So diverse in their beliefs that they cancelled each other out in the realm of religion. But as a performance of maintaining the system of diversity it was perfect. That was this solemn ceremony had been reduced to.

These nine entities usually examine eg white ethnicity and sexually straight versus everyone else. They tend to ignore the reality that eg Indians,.Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans hardly ever hire Chinese; Koreans, Singaporeans, Malaysians. Also Islamics hardly ever hire Jews. These are but two examples that can be readily witnessed but there are many others. The whole EDI agenda is a lie. In just about every firm I have worked or had as a client in London the ‘diversity’ has reduced to mainly South Asians, Islamics, Africans, and LGBTQ+. The rest of the entire world usually does not get a mention and is largely ignored.

Got to provide well-paid, high-status jobs for the ethnic minority, humanities graduates …. who can’t find anything “suitably remunerated” in the private sector.
