Good to see Andrew Lawrence getting a plug here.

Also good to see the POTUS trying to get rid of the Department of Education. Every US state has one, along with a whole machinery to manage it (legislature, executive branch, state judiciary). It’s nuts really how much the US federal government does – surely way beyond the scope that the founders intended, which would have been national defence, borders and interstate commerce, perhaps some collaboration when it came to natural resources.

But, but, all the tearful staff told they aren’t needed anymore, and they did such a good job of interfering and giving money away. They put out their hands, but no-one filled them with cash, what shall they do..?

Seriously, I do not have anyone on my staff who has worked in the public sector or ESG Corporates, in anything other than the lowest capacity, and this is a discrimination that I am proud to continue. Thats one of the reasons I think dealing with reducing the size of the Civil Service and public administration has to be a ‘scorched earth’ policy. Brains have been totally rewired with this nonsense.

It’s gong to be a battle though. Every single one of Trump’s actions to cut back the state are being stopped by judges. For now at least. This will I guess go to the Supreme Court and a major issue will eventually be decided – the extent to which the US President has the power to manage the federal institutions.

If it doesn’t go his way then the whole “the most powerful person on the planet” trope will be an even bigger joke. At the moment he doesn’t even have the power to manage his own executive.

He seems up for the battle this time. But yes I am sure it won’t be plain sailing. In theory, “conservatives” are in 6-3 majority on the Supreme Court but some of these so called conservatives are pretty wet. Only Alito and Thomas can be completely trusted, IMO.

As an individual he does have a fair bit of power, especially as the US is a powerful country, but there are lots of leaders with lots more power than him – the Chinese bloke for a start, Putin, lots of others, and in places like the UK where Parliament is sovereign and not much is devolved, Starmer effectively can do what he wants provided his MPs play ball. The founders deliberately hamstrung the President because they did not want a king. As usual, Scalia puts it very well: Antonin Scalia – On American Exceptionalism

France issues ‘survival manual’ to prepare citizens for invasion

Just the sort of thing socialist fascist governments should spend your money on:

‘Citizens will also be told to ‘lock their doors’ in the event of a nuclear incident’

Or not really……

Based on a selfie of one person whose creditials we must take just his word for, and on that basis you are hinting at a complete collapse of a country.

Kanal13 video titles:  – Ukraine hit Russian gas pipeline to Europe in Kursk …  – After Kursk withdrawal [sic], Ukraine captures Russia’s …  – Successful strikes by Ukrainian Army on energy …  – Ukrainian forces effectively retake lost territories in …  – Ukrainian Armed Forces advance 12 km into Russia …  – Ukraine destroys Russian drones worth over $150,000 … No political bias there, then. And a nice photo in the website header of Biden with his arm around Zelensky’s neck, while Putin looks on. Then I may happily quote from the Russian Foreign Ministry on 13th inst.: Open sources occasionally mention the scale of desertion in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the number of absences without leave surged by 600 percent in 2024 as compared with the first year of the special military operation, and the number of desertions – by 1,000 percent. In figures, this looks as follows: 3,214 deserters and 6,183 AWOL’s in 2022. In 2024, these indices rose to 23,209 and 66,240, respectively. This is the official statistics. In reality, as estimated by experts, over 150,000 people are on the run. And these figures tend to grow steadily.… Read more »

Masked men in anonymous battledress interspersed with shots of Shoygu with his staff, What is that supposed to prove? As propaganda videos go it looks pretty unprofessional to me.

Angela Rayner’s cuts ‘threaten efforts to tackle Islamophobia’” – Police chiefs warn that slashing funds for Tell Mama, a charity tracking anti-Muslim hate, will hinder efforts to tackle surging anti-Muslim incidents…

Its not so much anti-Muslim surge, as the rest of the citizens who can’t make head nor tail of why the government of a white Judeo-Christian country feels the need for Muslims to be made ‘special cases’ for every advantage and freebie going. The British have a keen sense of fair play, and this isn’t fair play. Of course I guess such thoughts come under a law or two, if not now, then soon.

Why the Tories failed to tackle Britain’s ballooning benefits bill” – The Conservatives promised to “make work pay” while in power, so why has it taken a Left-wing government to actually deliver?

‘Deliver’? Run that past me again. What have they ‘Delivered’.? The Telegraph is getting worse and worse, and it wasn’t that good to start…

One could argue that, if Labour succeeds in cutting the benefits bill, increases the defence spending, agrees a trade deal with the US, manages to somehow reduce the boat crossings and does even a bit of reform on the civil service, they’ve done way more in one mandate than the Tories in three (four?). But when you think about it, it really is Trump we should be thankful to.

Who has put Chuckles up to this and why?

I can’t see Trump falling for this.
Looks like an attempt to drive a wedge between our two countries.

Labour are yet to delivery anything other than bad news.

I wouldn’t normally comment on this but you seem a touch desperate, so here goes. I don’t understand your post and have no interest in looking at anything to do with football. Does Blues relate to football or the music genre?
